I'll just pretend that I'm British enough to understand any of that and nod along whilst I eat my chips and biscuits.
That's alright. I just hope that everyone's still hyped to get started.

Ancient Library mission almost over. Sad we couldn't get more done on it, but once we've moved past it, I know that there will be more grand adventures to be had. That, and more delicious ultraviolence.
Joshua largely ignored the others as they appeared at the meeting place. Just as Lewellyn emerged from his tent, the large mutant buttoned up his pants again and stepped aside from the old pre-war power line pole he had been using to relieve himself. A fair amount of time later and the old drunkard that offered to heal people had arrived. Joshua ignored the human's inquiry and took a seat an equal distance away from all the others. A couple minutes later and their employer arrived, a little late.

"Sorry, I am late. I had business to attend to. Now, we have a good long march south along the I-75. I hope you all are ready. We will spend a night under the stars and if all goes well we reach the place that is to be our outpost by noon tomorrow."

"It's good you showed up when you did. We were about to hold you to your word and leave late arrivals behind. It would have been an interesting adventure, having nobody pay us and no idea where to go." Joshua let out a hearty laugh and stood up, slinging his Red Glare rocket launcher over his shoulder and readjusting his oversized backpack. Everything about his body language said that he was ready to go.
After a moment of appearing to be some sort of blade composed of blue light, the object in Zhou's hands flickered, then died. Half a second later, confetti fired from the end, draping the cockpit all around. Hidden within the confetti was a small paper note that, if found, would read: You didn't think I was making it that easy, did ya? :D
You don't have to, but Courier 6 does have a canon backstory that extends beyond "is mailman, got shot." He's also canonically not an amnesiac. Word of God states the dialogue options asking questions that would normally be obvious to a citizen of the NCR are there strictly for players to learn about the environment they're in. 'Course that still leaves a metric ton of info you can decide for "your" courier if you so choose.

Before I cover anything related to his power levels I wanted to address this. What do you mean by "wrote a narrative for his character"? Do you not have a defined past in Dark Souls 3? Does the game allow the player to input one for the protagonist as flavor text or some such? Or does it say start with something like "You have died, your life is over but you cannot rest yet for you have been raised." or something? I'm just trying to figure out where this comes from.

Dark Souls is one of those RPGs where your character is a total blank slate, save for how they've died and are now in the game setting. Technically there's no real "narrative" you can input beyond how you imagine they used to be before they died.

Everyone

I have assembled two groups for characters which fall into separate areas. I will be posting it tomorrow along with the first of the IC posts.

Sounds great! I'm excited and I know Gaige is too. >:3
I just realized that every faction mechanic is centered on being creature specific. I don't necessarily believe that's a bad thing, but my understanding is that the strong theme is supposed to be the lost technology of ages past, the artifacts. That in mind, I might suggest that what we do for Bellenar be based on artifacts, or some other mechanic be reworked to focus more on them. Right now the closest we've got is "plunder" which works for any card that's pulled off the top of the deck.

Edit: Also do we know what types of creatures, sentient and otherwise, are involved in this plane? I see mention that dragons aren't a thing here, but I don't see a discussion here or in the Titan pad. I mean, unless that happened in the history of the pad's chat, or Skype.
Just as Akoni had deduced, the librarian, this abyssal, was far more intelligent than its monstrous appearance would have suggested. It had recovered from the vicious assault of Mary, and began speaking in a loud baritone voice. The enormous creature, now known as Nichts, declared that battle too much trouble and gave them the opportunity to leave without further trouble. If they chose to stay, well...

Souta was the example being set there. The young man stood near Akoni, apparently barely able to think, to stand. Something was happening, and Akoni didn't like it. If Nichts could have disabled them like this the entire time, then it was truly a being of monstrous power and knowledge. Akoni anted that knowledge. He wanted to ask it why it attacked them, but left the creature possessing Sevrin alone. He wanted to ask about the third seal of Armageddon. He wanted to ask about so many things, but they would all have to wait. The elderly mage began toget an idea of what was happening to Souta, as tiny bits of information began to enter his own mind. Weather patterns, saturation percentages to cause precipitation, little scraps here and there of meteorology.

Akoni gave thanks to his decades of practicing magic that allowed him to resist intrusions into his mind, but Souta was far too young and headstrong to have those same defenses. Akoni could assume that Silas would be resistant, like himself, but he had nothing to gauge Mary or Midori. At best they would be one man down in fighting Nichts with the remaining fighters becoming increasingly distracted. At worst, Akoni would only have one ally left, and Akoni was not nearly the fighter he once was. Infuriating as the situation had become, there was only one real choice to be made.

"I have many questions, oh great Nichts, which I will return for. When that happens, I hope we can discuss amongst ourselves as the scholars we are." The old mage declared his words to the abyssal loud and proud, not bothering to hide his frustration. Once he had finished, it was time to take up Nichts' offer of retreat. He started by grabbing for Souta, whom he had ensured landed nearby, then activated his Surge technique to head toward the exit. Mary and Midori were both fliers, they could transport themselves. Silas was a Lumen, and therefore knew Light Speed, so he could escape to safety on his own as well. If Akoni saw they had any difficulty he would go back for them, but for now only Souta required any assistance in their retreat.
So for the individual mechanic for Bellenar, I was thinking something that either treasons opposing creatures, or otherwise relies on your opponents' army in some way. It works for the "peaceful" faction vibe while still being dangerous, satisfies green's sense of community, white's law and order, and blue's fuck you I'm better than you are and being condescending about it hands off manipulation and mind games.
