Lady Eve observed the goings on with interest from her dark corner of the room, highly invested in the progression of events. It did not take long for fingers to begin pointing. It would be interesting to see how everything went from here, to be sure. Alonzo took everything in stride, stoically sitting through the initial questioning of Erin, and only giving Elizabeth the briefest of glances to acknowledge her own accusation. He took a second to gauge the rest of the room, then nodded. "You are both correct. I can easily produce the answer, and I do not fit in here. I had hoped to observe each of you longer before revealing the answer so anticlimactically. However..." The scarred man reached forward from his seat, hand outstretched like a claw. He moved it downward, as though scraping the air itself. With the motion came a tear in space, a black void that bled what could only be described as wispy smoke. His hand reached in, and pulled back out. No sooner had Alonzo's hand left the tear did it heal itself. And yet something about that space, that portion of the room, it just felt... Off.

And off was how one could describe the contents Alonzo had produced from the void. He held in his hand a large jar, filled with green fluid. But it was not the fluid which was most jarring (mind the pun) but the object suspended within: a full sized human brain. Pristine, carefully removed from the head of some unfortunate soul. He placed the jar gingerly upon the coffee table, then met with the eyes of everyone once again. "I am out of place because I am vastly more experienced. A warlock for hire, a sort of magical mercenary if you will. This is not my first time around the block." My Gift allows me to peer into your hearts and know your deepest, darkest secrets. Your whole lives laid bare, as I read your memories like a book. The last bit was not vocalized, his lips completely static, and yet all others in the room could plainly hear him speaking so clearly. How was that?

"Yes, I have read your minds, and thus I know exactly who the plant is. Or, to be more specific, I know who the plants are. It would seem this test was setup as a trick question, and our kind host has left two moles within the group. You," he pointed casually toward Mallaidh, "have been too preoccupied with looking out of place and uncomfortable. The act is too strong. And you," he once again pointed, this time at Erin, "are using a simple telekinesis masked as a dousing spell, which you used to cast suspicion off of yourself immediately."

Alonzo turned his head to Lady Eve, nodding her head quite impressed. "Shall I kill them?" he asked as casually as one might ask for the time of day.

Lady Eve shook her head. "No. There will be no death tonight."
Runch listened as Boone spoke of a "rare log" he had never heard of before. Apparently normal compasses weren't going to work in the Grand Line? He had no idea! Then again, none of them had checked since arriving. What with the excitement of nearly crashing into one another, then celebrating their meeting, Runch hadn't even given it a thought! He glanced to Hachirou, faithful navigator, and tilted his head quizzically. The muscular man gave pause in his squats long enough to read his captain's expression perfectly. He pulled out a compass, raised an eyebrow at the needle spinning around uncontrollably, then nodded back to Runch as he put the compass away.

"It seems you are right; our compass isn't working here. Well then, I'd say our meeting was a stroke of fate! Omnomnom!" The Cereal Killer's laughter bellowed across the galley. That's when Bonesword demanded his sword back from Dr. Ken, and Dirk even tried to swipe the gourd full of alcohol!

The drunken doctor gave no indication that he had even heard Dirk's approach, and in fact didn't react in any way whatsoever as the drink had been snatched up from his hand. Boone clumsily attempted to stop his helmsman, but it was for naught: Dirk successfully disposed of the beverage. Boone was quite upset, but Ken still gave no indication he had even noticed. Then, a full ten seconds later, he finally reacted. "Hm? Oh shorry, here'sh yer-hic-toothpick." He handed the Shroomblade over tothe Bonesword on the left, completely missing the hand of the Bonesword in the middle who was the real one. Still the doctor gave no indicator his drink had been lifted right out of his hand.

Feya suggested that they celebrate not with alcohol, but with fruits and vegetables. At this notion the Krunch Krew's doctor became... Agitated. He tumbled out of his chair, accidentally tossing a number of bowls and spoons with him, all landing right on his face. Despite now having several very large lumps, he felt no pain. "Uh-uh, nosh, I alwaysh carry me-hic-grog!" And with that he produced a second gourd full of highly potent, potentially lethal, alcohol from... Uh... Where exactly did that stuff come from? Well, wherever he got it, he had it out now and was in the process of toasting. "To new-hic-friends! Glugluglugluglugluglug!" Even the man's laughter sounded suspiciously like the gulping of drinks!

"Friggin' stowaway," Smith muttered in a half-joking tone.

"Omnomnomnom! Well I don't see any reason why we can't all get what we want! Our unofficial doctor here is always happy to share his sin with anybody who likes! Don't ask me where it comes from, though." The captain gave a mighty shrug, stronger than any shrug to come before it. It practically caused a ripple of confusion in and of itself. "And if fruits and veggies are your thing, I have eight different incredibly healthy recipes ready to go any time! Omnomnomnomnom!" Runch threw out his hands and a stream of multi-colored cereal pellets spewed forth in every direction. Trickshot Jo yelled at him from up in her hammock, but her derisions went largely ignored and unnoticed.

The celebration went on for another two hours. In that time the two crews were able to learn a great deal about one another, or at least their personalities. Despite being a ninja, Smith was not the quietest of the crew. In fact once he opened up, it was difficult to get the guy to shut the hell up! Everything out of his mouth was some sort of joke or wisecrack, often at the expense of someone else. He really had a sarcastic sense of humor. Hachirou definitely spoke the least of everyone. The whole time they celebrated he must have said less than ten words, and when addressed directly always answered in the most efficient, shortest way possible. Sometimes even a gesture was all he mustered in response. Yet the entire time the navigator of the Krunch Krew never stopped exercising, whether it be squats, push ups, sit ups, chin ups, and any other manner of activity. He kept this up even when it came to the karaoke portion of the party! Joanne on the other hand, she was a puzzle. She kept participating and interacting with everyone, but every time she was addressed the badger took to flinging insults and names and using a strange form of language nobody was quite sure how to understand, with heavy use of alien words like "honky" and "sass," as well as "bust a cap in yo ass." Whatever any of that meant. As for the ship's doctor, Wutong Ken, he was a complete and utter mess. He wreaked a foul stench at the best of times, and had a far worse odor he would regular expel from within his body, usually in the form of highly inappropriate burps and farts. He seemed to mishear every other word and in general was very delusional, but apart from all that the guy seemed to be really nice and friendly.

Then of course there was the ship's captain. Bartholomew K. Runch, "The Cereal Killer" was his wanted poster read. An older man, probably in his mid-forties, with the spirit and enthusiasm of a child under ten. He was the life of the party to be sure, eager to please, try new things, and have as much fun as he could. When others were feeling hesitant in any way, he was the first in line to give a little push of encouragement. The man seemed physically incapable of going more than two sentences without his signature laugh, almost as though a lack of joy would kill him or something. Yet he was also a gracious and rational host, listening to any concerns his guests had with genuine concern, and when it was time to wrap the party up, he was the one to call it all off.

Two ships sailed along the Grand Line on a beautiful sunny day. Leading the way was the Rum Runner, with the Guppy not too far behind. Just as the clockmaker had promised to Captain Boone, the log pose pointed in a single direction which decidedly was not north. Whenever the ship drifted slightly off course, the needle adjusted so that it remained pointing at the same exact location. Yet his regular compass just kept spinning circles in an endless loop. The Grand Line, it truly was remarkable.

The journey to the Rum Runner's first stop didn't take too long. A short hour and a half marked the sighting of the first land they would see in this miraculous ocean. A somewhat small island sat in their path, a large castle dominating the majority of the landmass. From so far out it didn't appear to have much going on, at least not in terms of smaller local sailing vessels. However as they approached, a single object became more and more clear. A flag hung prominently at the top of every tower in the castle. A black flag with the image of a cannon going off, which for some reason had two bulky and strong arms flexing. A Jolly Roger.

Interlude 2: Shatterpoint

Dim lights focused on a single seat where a particular individual person sat, draping the office room in relative darkness, save for the computer this person typed methodically upon, and the desk at which he sat. The sights and sounds of the office threatened to overwhelm his senses, despite being quite tame. The wall had a grainy texture to it but was otherwise quite bland, not at all visible in the specific lighting he had chosen for the evening. The sounds too were unremarkable. Save for the gentle chatter of his minions elsewhere in the building, the light hum of his computer’s cooling fan, and the ventilation that ran throughout the whole building, there wasn’t much of which to listen. Still, he kept a pair of earbuds plugged into his ears, not just to occupy himself with the music coming from his 1987 cassette player, but to drown out the near inaudible sounds around.

He wore his costume despite being in utter solitude. One might be forgiven for hypothesizing that it was a habit he had picked up since gaining the employment of not one but two strangers that would be capable of sneaking in undetected, but that simply wasn’t the case. This habit had been long-standing for the last two years. Ever since he had originally triggered and gained his powers, ever since he had agreed to make the Rockers with his friend, ever since his friend made the suit for him… Specially tailored just for him… It only came off when he had to go out in public. In his civilian identity. Of course, there wasn’t much need for that these days.

The super villain known to the public as Shatterpoint continued typing away methodically. At 92 words per minute he compiled data presented by the Rockers that scouted the streets, brought to him by Creep, divulged to him by Visage. Every angle had to be postulated, every detail accounted for. So much to work through, so much to consider. It was overwhelming, burdening, a bothersome feeling growing growing growing growing stop it stop it stop it right now brain! Beeeeeeeeeeeep, rang the alarm Shatterpoint had set to his digital watch. Without looking at his wrist he shut it off.

The young man opened the desk drawer, working quickly to produce two pill bottles from their neat and organized spot. The bottles were set on the desk next to the computer mouse while Shatterpoint slid back in his chair and approached the water cooler near the door. The styrofoam cup felt like poison against his hand despite wearing gloves, the texture bleeding through. If not in reality, then in the core of his mind. He could feel it. It wasn’t any easier to ignore as the water dispensed into the cup. His eyes fixated on the liquid held within the container, taking in all the bubbles rising to the top as the water source was disturbed. Tiny particles, unseen by most human eyes. No, not unseen. Ignored by most human eyes. He couldn’t ignore them. The tiny particles, the bubbles, the styrofoam cup, it was overwhelming. Thankfully he need only take a few seconds to get the water he needed.

That chore done, Shatterpoint took his seat once again, following the exact same path he had taken to the water cooler, his feet stepping in the same indentations his feet made in the carpet the first time. Shatterpoint breathed a heavy sigh, the same sigh he always gave before this daily ritual. With quick, dexterous hands the caps popped off the pill bottles. In only two more seconds, he had downed a number of pills and chased them with a single gulp of water. As he had done so many hundreds of times before, the young boy let out his post-pill sigh, then gently set the styrofoam cup into the trash bin placed beneath his work desk. When he looked up his eyes met with the labels of the two bottles: risperidone and aripiprazole. The irritation he had been feeling before began to melt away as he reached to put the bottles back in their resting place.

“Boss Shatter!” cried a voice just outside the door. He hadn’t had a moment to react before the door swung open with far too much force, slamming against the wall. Shatterpoint cringed as the ruckus interrupted the flowing melodies playing through his cassette.

“Boss Shatter, I’ve got news I need to tell you!” rambled the man, speaking quickly and gasping slightly for breath. He opened his mouth to continue, but Shatterpoint silenced the man with a single palm gesture.

The villain took a moment to tap the stop button of his cassette player. He then very carefully and methodically plucked the earbuds from where they had been secured, and draped the long wire around his neck. The minion, no, the thug could not see the glare his employer shot at him through the tinted goggles built into his helmet. Shatterpoint examined this interruption with intense frustration, analyzing the hundreds of ways he could break the man’s bones. A little force applied in the perfect spot, at the perfect angle, it could do wonders. He mused for a moment as the mosaic of this thug constantly changed, shifting as the man shifted his own posture and stance. Countless points he could strike for countless results. Number 4473 was Shatterpoint’s personal favorite: using a nearby pen to completely shatter the interloper’s fight femur.

”I despise interruptions,” Shatterpoint stated simply, keeping his tone as neutral as he could.

“I know boss Shatter, I know, and I’m sorry,” the thug pleaded. The tone in his voice showed he was genuine, but his boss didn’t pick up on that. It was just another annoying change to his routine. “But you’ll want to know this. Really, you will.”

”Be quick,” Shatterpoint ordered. ”It’s almost time for me to report to Big Boss.” Yes, Big Boss. His only friend in the world.

“Of course, sir.” Though the man had to be at least twice Shatterpoint’s age, he recognized his place in the pecking order and gave a bow of respect. Once he recomposed himself, the thug dropped a bombshell. “We’ve been invited to a meeting with the other players in Denver at neutral ground. We just got the message, everyone is going to meet on October 8th at Casa Bonita. One of the big names already rented the place out for a private party, and they want us all to show up at 9:30 in the morning.”

Shatterpoint frowned beneath his goggles, uncertain of how to process this information. He had just put in a great amount of effort in order to create an alliance with Purge’s mafia, no small task considering how little respect the Rockers had in the villain community, and now they were getting invited to a meeting setup by some bigwig? He didn’t… Didn’t like it. Times like this he wished his power worked on things that weren’t just physical.

”Who is setting this up?” he asked, growing more and more curious. If it had been Purge, then wouldn’t they have been given prior notice? Maybe not.

“It’s the Jacks. You know, that group that’s new to town who broke Gamble out of prison transport and duked it out with the Wards and the Community?”

Now that was interesting. The Jacks had shown up in town a week and two days after he had brought half the Rockers down from Boulder. By all accounts, the Rockers had a stronger hold and more territory to call their own than the Jacks did. Yet the Jacks did seem to have a measure of success in their endeavors… Whatever those endeavors actually were. It was still a mystery to Shatterpoint. One he didn’t like. Surprises, details unaccounted for, they drove the villain mad.

”That’s the same day the heroes have the charity event,” Shatterpoint mused, thinking.

“I know,” the thug replied, completely unaware his boss was only thinking out loud. A couple seconds later and the Rockers’ second in command gave his executive order.

”Return to duty. My meeting is now overdue. I will bring the matter up with the Big Boss.” As he spoke Shatterpoint took back to navigating his computer desktop, readying a voice chat program.

“Gotcha, boss Shatter,” the thug acknowledged. As he turned to leave, something caught his eye. Rather than departing as signalled, the ruffian moved even closer to his employer’s desk. His eyes had become enamored with the two pill bottles sitting in plain sight. His sudden entrance had interrupted the process of putting them away.

“Hey, boss Shatter? Are you uh… Doing ok? You’re not sick, are ya?” He cocked his head in confusion, trying to pronounce the medication in his head.

Something snapped in that second, followed by something else snapping in the next second. Shatterpoint had completely lost his patience with this buffoon, this nitwit who dared to mock him for his disability! Shatterpoint threw the mouse he held in his hand, striking the thug’s shoulder ever just so. He didn’t even apply any of his increased strength to the blow, but the way the computer mouse hit ensured the thug’s shoulder had fractured three times.

“AAAAAAAAAAGH!” he howled in pain, reeling back.

”Go!” Shatterpoint commanded, keeping his voice low. The man wasted no time in departing, holding his broken bone the whole way. He even remembered to shut the door behind him. A wise decision for his health.

The villainous boy took a deep breath, attempting to quell his anger and frustration. The medication hadn’t actually taken effect yet, so it was proper breathing exercises until he was calm enough. Once a minute had passed, Shatterpoint took the time to put away his medication, and clean up the crushed mouse pieces. All the while he kept nagging himself in the back of his head, don’t keep him waiting, don’t keep him waiting, don’t keep him waiting.

Hurriedly, Shatterpoint checked his watch: 11.41 pm. He was eleven minutes late. No. No no. No no no no. Practically hurling the destroyed computer equipment into the trash bin, the young man took his seat and operated the computer using keyboard commands and shortcuts. Once hte voice chat system was pulled up, he carefully took the earbuds from his cassette player and jacked them into the computer. A second later and the call began.

Calling Rokkn’Beets21…

He hated that screen name. The spelling was far too poor, it bugged him tremendously.

”Hey Dexter! It’s not like you to be late, man, you doing alright?”

Dexter breathed another sigh, but rather than as preparation for something uncomfortable, it was one of relief.

”Yes.” His answer was short, simple, succinct. How he preferred to communicate.

”Well whatever was going on, I’m sure you took care of it, hahaha. You can do anything, buddy.” That made Dexter smile. He couldn’t help it when his friend complimented him like that. It almost made him feel like it was true.

”Yes.”

”Alright, well don’t overdo it, buddy. Haha. Are all the preparations ready? I’m still on schedule, so you should be seeing me in three days.”

”Everything you asked is done, Brock.” The young man nodded, despite there being nobody to see the motion. ”But more has come up.”

”Oh? Like what? Has anyone been picking on you? Do I need to crush some skulls?”

”No, no, nothing like that. It’s just… Things are happening. Changes in Denver.”

”What kinds of changes?” Brock was definitely curious.

”Hired another parahuman. Stranger. Named Visage.” Dexter’s words were curt, but not uncomfortable.

”Hot damn! You got us another stranger? That’s kickass, little buddy! What else has been happening?”

”Alliance. Visage talked to Purge. After information exchange, he agreed to cooperate.”

”Another groupie to add to my collection of fans. Fuck yes, you just keep dropping those sick beats, buddy! That’ll be a great asset for when we rob the shit outta that Protectorate charity event!”

”There’s more,” he replied, sounding a bit unsure of himself. ”You see, we were uh, invited to a villain meeting on neutral ground at the same time we were planning to rob the charity event. I think we should check it out, and uh… Maybe attacking the event is too big for us?”

Dexter braced himself for his friend’s flippant dismissal of concerns. When Brock got an idea in his head, nobody could break it. Not even Shatterpoint. Some skulls were just too thick…

”Nonsense! Come on Dexter, we’ve got this! It’s you and me against the world, like it’s always been! If any of the assholes that work for us get their shit knocked and tossed in jail, no Biggie Smalls, but you and me? We’ve always got each others’ backs. Nobody can stop us. The plan goes forward.”

... Ok.” He didn’t like this. Not one bit. Too many heroes. Too many big names.

”But I think we do want to stay informed about that meeting… Tell you what little buddy, have Creep or the new guy-”

”Girl,” Dexter corrected.

”Right, have Creep or the new bitch sit in as our representative. Then when we get back to the hideout richer than ever, they can fill us in. Pretty fuckin’ great plan, right?”

Dexter paused, unsure how to respond. He loved his friend more than anything in the world, but Brock was… Well, Brock was to reasonable situations as he was to social situations: completely inept. But Brock knew stuff he didn’t, right?

”Sure,” he answered. ”Pretty fucking great plan.”
Apologies that things are taking longer than previously promised, everyone. A buuuunch of everything just all piled up on me at the same time. I'm doing my best to get everything taken care of, and since finishing up everything for CoD's timeskip is the most time consuming of all my tasks. I am hoping that everything will be done by the end of the week, so stay tuned!

Lady Eve respectfully listened to each of the guests who introduced themselves, regardless of their own manners. From Carnation's cursing, to Erin's distracted attention, to Ross and Mallaidh's simple statements. However when it came to Devyn and Elizabeth, who went on asking more questions without introducing themselves to their host, the Lady crinkled her nose in annoyance, paid them full attention, then made a concerted effort to not only ignore them, but make sure they knew they were being ignored and why. Just as she was about to answer the others' questions, the man with the facial scars spoke up for the first time.

"The name is Alonzo. Just Alonzo," he said, crossing his legs as well as his arms. "You have my attention, but in the interest of fairness, I'll ditto the questions of these two ladies."

Lady Eve nodded in understanding. "Yes. Well, let's see. So many queries, where to start? Miss Erin, I believe you asked about the sharing of information? Why yes, that is the point of this endeavor. I will share with you the rumors, the evidence, the hearsay and the goings on that I am able to locate, in the fullest that I can provide. In turn, you will investigate these matters to the best of your ability so that we might draw a conclusion. I believe that also answers one of your questions as well, Mr. Alonzo?" Lady Eve took a moment to sip her cup, then continued. "Pleased to meet you, Miss Mallaidh. To be perfectly frank, I cannot state with absolute certainty how long exactly this arrangement will last. My hope is that together we can see it through to the end and uncover all the mysteries plaguing my city of home, however long it might take. But of course, you are all free to leave at any time you wish. The nature of this work is certain to be dangerous."

She then brought her eyes back to the man now known as Alonzo. "Let's see if I can remember everything. Oh dear. Well you are all welcome to make this as public as you like, but the public tends to take quite poorly to the events of the unseen, so I don't recommend it. I'm well established as a 'loonie eccentric,' if I were to quote the papers, so my name being attached to this endeavor means nothing. The police I cannot imagine understanding the situation. Chances are more than likely that we shall need to indulge in activities that are, shall we say, less than judicial? As for accommodations, I have prepared a few rooms in my manor which you are free to utilize at no cost. Sadly I had no idea how many guests to expect so I am a couple rooms short, unless anybody would like a bunk mate. Terribly sorry."

She paused for a moment, clearly thinking. "Have I missed anything?"

"How will we be paid," Alonzo suggested, counting off on his fingers. "And will any of us who happen to be foreigners be working illegally, or be able to get VISAs?"

"Ah yes," Eve acknowledged with a finger wave and a smile. "As for your income, I am able and willing to provide it in any manner you see fit. The same goes for your status as an alien. If you might prefer to be official, taxes and all, I have setup a company name for government auditing purposes. Should you prefer to remain anonymous, to perform duties under the table, I am quite flexible to such arrangements. Now, with all these questions answered..."

The mistress of the house finished sipping her cup and waved the butler to come gather her china set and clear the table. Any drinks that were left unattended were likewise taken away. "We still have two introductions to go, then we shall move on." The Lady gave Devyn and Elizabeth a moment to introduce themselves properly this time, then immediately addressed the group as a whole. "Now, you shall recall in my previous statements that I had claimed to only ever know of one other individual that had my level of devotion to occult studies. As you all seem interested in continuing, there is one test I require you complete. So that I might gain some insight into your personalities, approaches, and general dynamic as a group, I request that you find the plant in the room." She gave a wide, yet somehow gentle smile. "One of you did not get my summons, because one of you is a close personal friend of mine. A bit of paranoia to spice up the event, no? You have until the clock strikes one to determine who does not belong. During this time I shall be monitoring you from the corner of the room, and should not be approached as though I were invisible."

Lady Eve stood tall from her chair and, just as she had declared, moved to the far corner of the room. "Please, begin your deliberations now if you would."

Lady Eve gracefully smiled when Devyn made her inquiry. She gave a slight pause to answer, but only because the lady of the manor had taken a moment to sip on a tea provided by her butler. It was a black tea, served from a porcelain kettle into a fine china cup decorated with Egyptian symbols. Her poise was perfect, even including the famous "pinky out" gesture. Once she had cleared her mouth, Lady Eve placed the cup down onto a small saucer plate upon the table.

"Shrewd and to the point. I cannot say that I blame you, miss. While I desire further pleasantries, I understand that calling this meeting so late and with little prompt can be... Ominous. Nonetheless-" Lady Eve took a second to readjust her posture in the chair. "-You are all here for a very important purpose. I have little doubt that you've each determined a certain quality shared by you all, yes? Every person in this room right now has had a history with the peculiar. With that which goes unseen by the normal populace. Everyone here has some measure of experience with the occult."

The Lady gave a moment to gauge everyone's reaction, to look upon their faces in case anybody showed signs of surprise. It would have been concerning if any of them had. "To be perfectly frank, I do not know any of your names. Not your identity, your profession, and I even had little idea of how many would even be attending this meeting."

Now that she fully expected to get some measure of surprise from the crowd. Gingerly the woman removed a glove from her right hand, revealing the appendage in its full milky glory. Everyone could make out the tattoo of an ankh on the back of her hand. What's more Elizabeth's special sight suddenly flared up. That tattoo was a magical focus. Lady Eve began drawing a circle in the air with her exposed index finger, leaving behind a trail of blue light. Once the circle was complete, the circle became an image for all to see.

"I am a warlock, and this is the creature I have signed a pact with. I desired to have a team put together, but knew not where to even begin. Other than myself there was only one individual I ever knew that made any legitimate ground in researching such... Ethereal means. Thus this beast before you made an offer: he could spread the word and invite a number of others to my manor so that I could give you my proposal directly. I set a time and day, then waited for this very moment." With a wave of her hand, the image of the supernatural creature dissipated. She took another sip of tea, then continued. "There has been an increase of events in Boston which I believe to be supernatural in origin. Dangerous things, and some which may not be, but must still be... Looked into. As you can all see, I am quite well off, and so I offer my services as an employer. I fear what may be happening to my city. I now offer you all a reasonable salary: Ten thousand dollars a month, and full medical coverage beginning immediately. That is, so long as you agree to investigate these events."

She breathed a heavy sigh, placing her hand back into its glove. "If any of you are disinterested, I understand and you are free to leave right now. Otherwise... I believe it is in our best interests to perform introductions."
"Oh what the-oh Heeeeeel naw!" Trickshot Jo wasn't having any of that. As Bonesword flew up at her, she swung her hammock back so that the skelekid would miss. Only his back leg could brush against the hammock, catching it slightly and tearing a small hole in it. The badger drew a gun on Dirk with a mighty glare. "Punk ass bitch better keep to yoself, ya dig?" Then she noticed Caesar staring oddly at her and switched to pointing the pistol at him. "And wut you starin' at, honky?! Eh. Bitches ain't worth it." The badger holstered her firearm again, and continued eating in peace. She failed to notice her tail sticking out the bottom of the hammock where a hole had been made.

While Bonesword approached his captain and asked where his precious sword might have gone, Boone hadn't a clue... But he wouldn't remain ignorant for long. As soon as he approached the Krunch Krew's doctor to proposition for some drinks, he laid eyes on the Shroomblade... Being used as a toothpick by the drunkard! "Shure-hic-Ish lovesh to!" The drunken doctor unhooked some sort of gourd from his belt and set it on the table within Boone's reach, then popped the cork off. Immediately the smell of a very intense and pure alcohol wafted across the room.

Meanwhile out on deck, Runch was returning from delivering food to Kite. He flung the door open with enthusiasm, shooting multi-colored pellets from his fingertips like a shower of confetti! "OMNOMNOM! This has been a very joyous meeting! I've made a captain's decision! So long as my fellow captain agrees with it, of course. Why don't we sail ahead together, and throw a party? A celebration of new friendships, and of reaching the Grand Line! OMNOMNOMNOMNOM!" He turned to look at his own crew, who each gave their own form of approval, from Ken's drunken thumbs up, to Smith dancing a little jig, to Hachirou's stoic nod, and even to Jo's complete shrug of feigned apathy. Runch let out a big holler of celebration, and Hachirou stood up, politely delivering his dishware to a nearby sink, before addressing the crew.

"I will prepare to sail, but we do not know where we are going, cap'n. You all insisted that we would 'figure it out once we get there.'"

Runch, blushing with embarrassment, scratched his head. "Omnom... Oh yeah... Uh... Well we can still figure it out! You can work your navigator magic, Mister Hachirou, I believe in you! OMNOMNOMNOM!"
@Xandrya what was keeping you from posting before? Were you not engaged with shenanigans courtesy of Lethal Force?
