I think the main thing with any IC is a good pitch, I've joined plenty of RPs because the pitch was good (but rarely do I care about how pretty the thread is).

Some questions are just curve balls though. Traditionally the answer to "Do you support white supremacy?" is an easy no, unless you're either an idiot or racist or probably both.

<Snipped quote by Bork Lazer>

I require detailed evaluation of each subtle joke in the sheet and whether it did or did not hit.

The world must know.
Everything is fine on my end, just had to catch-up a bit with other things before I got to working on a post (aiming for sometime this weekend).
Val is sensibly making a run for it, what are the rest of you doing?

Val is incredibly heroic.
Back at my computer!

Lovely IC post!

In regards to Discord, I am agnostic, but will happily roll with whatever choice is made (I have a Discord account and use it for other RPs).
Val rolled to her feet with all the grace of a heavyweight champion boxer that had just had a lost a fight with a bus. Her head hurt. Her back hurt. And her new shades were a mess of expensive plastic and more expensive cracked glass. Idle dreams of workers comp and an trip on the company dollar to Prague were ruined by the inhuman roar of the bargain bin spook. His new looked suited him, it hurt her less than seeing his cheap blazer. Poor fashion really was a crime.

She stumbled as she tried to move. Nothing was broken, but it hurt, it fucking hurt. Val crashed into a half-crumbled shelf. She reached for her messenger bag, but came up with a fresh copy of Outlander. She tossed the gaudy book at the simian monster and offered a silent prayer that bad romance novels were its secret weakness. The paperback bounced off the monsters head with a sad thump. And then the terminal exploded, quite literally, into chaos. Light fixtures came crashing down. Bags, heavy bags, soared through the air like wheel-equipped boulders, indiscriminately sending civilians, TSA agents, and airline employees crashing into the cold linoleum floor. Val would have been impressed with the chaos, she really would have been, had she not been in a life or death battle with a whatever it was she was fighting.

Romance novels were crushed beneath her feet as Val began to run. She wasn't a fighter. She had told Eleanor. She wasn't going to stay and brawl it out with King Kong. A shelf of chips exploded into a shower of wavy potato slices next to her. She could feel the heat pouring from the simian horror as he roared next to her. His breath and the smell of his still sizzling flesh made her gag. Her feet caught onto something and Val crashed onto her knees. Her hands came up wet. She willed herself not to look. She didn't want to see. She already knew what it was. She couldn't help.

Val scrambled forward in the darkness. She could hear the creature behind her. Closer. She screamed in panic and grabbed the first best vial she could reach in her leather satchel, hurling it towards the beast. The ruined storefront exploded into a brilliant flash of light and thunder. Val screamed, but the creature screamed louder, his eyes burning from the brilliant light of a thousand rave lights condensed through alchemical means into liquid form. Val tried to crawl away, backpedaling across the floor.

A desperate claw swipe caught a bag and then the alchemist and sent her skidding across the now slippery floor. She hoped it was coffee. She prayed it was spilled soda. She didn't look. Not again. Her right shoulder screamed with pain as Val clambered to her feet. She knew what she had to do.

She did what she did best.

She did the only thing she knew she could do.

She ran.

She ran towards the nearest emergency exit.

Felosial Oakenheart

Fel clapped with unabashed glee as the ship rose into the skies. She loved a lot of things. Perhaps too many things. Or so she had been told. Material world creatures had such quaint ideas about relationships. But she reserved a special, boundless measure of love for sailing the stellar seas. She suspected that she would never get bored of it. Each journey was magical. Each league of stars traveled was special. It filled her with endless joy to feel the solar winds as the sails caught them. The ship was pleased. The Council of Planks was pleased. The crew was pleased. And most importantly the Captain was pleased!

The dryad offered a quaint, theatrical bow before she left the Captain and the crew remembers that remained on the idly on the deck. She had a place to be. A spot even. Assuredly she had great faith in the helmsman. She believed in him. But as navigator she had a duty. A special duty according to the Captain. The acorns could change at any moment. The solar currents could shift without warning. And she had to be ready. She had to be able to offer guidance to the crew. It was all so wonderful!

Fel appeared with great grace at the bow of the ship, leaning precariously over the edge. With a sudden pirouette, she turned and released a dozen acorns from hear hands, cackling as they sailed through the air. Fel wrapped the bottom of her robe around herself in a gust of motion as she knelt on the deck and carefully studied the pattern that the scattered acorns formed. Whispering quietly she imagined the eldritch and ancient constellations that the acorns really represented. A light solar wind was promised, but the current would be stable, at least until they cleared the gravity of the solar system.

"Helmsman! Steer true, seven acorns starboard, five acorns windward!" Fel shouted happily, collecting the acorns before she return to her position at the bow dangling over the bow of the ship. She wasn't completely sure the others understood the intricacies of acorn-based navigational theory, but surely there was no better time to learn than on the job? She was an expert after all, they could have no better teacher.
Although I promise I will pick this apart in the next couple of hours, here is what I have right now:

Not strictly part of my character sheet, but I wrote some related if random stuff in present tense (please forgive me):

Imma post either today or tomorrow, heading off to go camping this weekend so will be busy fighting bears until Tuesday or such.
Amazing work! Glad to see the OOC up!

Related, I'm almost done with a diver/rigger (to steal from Shadowrun). So expect lots of Russian, some drones, and an atmospheric diving suit.
I'd say the simplest answer is that this forums is more of play-by-post RP by way of writing forum than a Table Top RP forum.

Most people I know that are really into Table Top RPing tend to use stuff like RollD20 and similar websites to create, find, and run Table Top RPs.
