Looks like this started back up lol. On our side, would @TamerLumber like to respond before I do?
Sure thing.
The huntress stayed where she was as the beast drew nearer, keeping perfectly still even as she felt her heart rate increase by the second. She resisted the urge to rise and have a look at what was there and how close it was, knowing full well that there was a high chance of her being immediately pounced on if she were to do so. She would have to attempt this strike in the split second she would be given. Her body instinctively tensed at the sound of claws against wood, and she became aware of the creature's breathing just on the other side of the barrier that separated them. This was it. She tightened her grip around the bolt in her hand, and at the next sound of movement, she swung it up, hoping to hit the beast in the head.

It was unfortunate that she had missed by a mere inch, however, the result of her failure being a set of jaws clamping onto her forearm. This caused her fingers to release the bolt, and for that moment, she froze in shock, unable to even let out a cry of pain as she was dragged over the root and tossed out into the clearing. Her blood smeared the ground as she skidded to a stop, and she had but a second to process how badly hurt she was before adrenaline kicked in at the sight of the wolf about to leap. She scrambled for another bolt and manged to draw one from her quiver just as the fur-covered body hit her. The huntress and the beast tumbled across the forest floor for some time as they wrestled, with the latter eventually managing to bite into the former's calf, getting a shriek of pain out of her.

However, this provided her with the chance to drive the tip of the bolt right into the snout of the canine creature. Her leg was promptly released, and she held firm until the beast ceased thrashing. Shaking from the trauma of the ordeal, she then slowly loosened her grip on the bolt and cautiously dragged herself away from the still body of the wolf. She stumbled back into hiding, and as she slowly started to become aware of her surroundings once again, she noted that the forest around her was dead quiet. It was almost unbelievable that she had just survived what she did, but she had to get used to this if she were to continue serving the town as their protector, and she knew that not many were able to. Only the best were recruited, and even then, their numbers still dwindled with every encounter.

Banned for being slow, you had two days before it was taken.
Tentative interest.
So... what's going on with this one?
Guessing this has been abandoned?
Eliezer could not help but feel slightly uneasy after knowing that there had been someone watching him from the shadows this entire time, though, he was grateful for Raven's concern. He was worried about how he was going to keep this knowledge from his brother, and for how long he could continue to pretend that all was well. He usually told Mathazar everything, and his brother could read him almost as well as Raven could. Surely it would not be long before Mathazar detected that something was wrong? He would have to be extra cautious, and having trusted his brother his entire life, it would be difficult to keep telling himself that Mathazar was not the person he had thought he was.

At Raven's mention of her having to take her leave, he nodded. "Of course, my lady. Do attend to your duties. Until we meet again."

After she had gone, Eliezer made his way back to the pavilion with Hildebrand, where the prince instructed the other guards to prepare to depart from the lake area. As they left for the palace on horseback, Eliezer's mind was still plagued by the confirmation of the newfound information, and what it meant for him and Raven. The prince and his trusted knight conversed while they rode, with the latter speaking first.

"Shall you still continue to see her as your lady, Your Highness?"

"She is a Lunarian assassin, and she was going to assassinate me. It would be so wrong to, yet..." he trailed off, knowing full well what his heart desired.

"Yet you still love her," Hildebrand added, completing the prince's sentence.

"It is still difficult to say if that truly is the case," came the reply.

"Forgive me, Your Highness. That was not a question, but an observation," Hildebrand stated awkwardly.

"I see..." Eliezer muttered, visibly spiraling into deep thought once again.

Before the prince could ponder too much, the knight decided that it was a good time to change the topic. "It is strange that she would have such a strong reaction to Miss Read. As far as I can tell, she has always been a lovely, charming lady. I wonder how the Moon Raven knew that she is nobility."

Eliezer nodded. "She is well liked among the palace staff. She once mentioned to me that she is from an upper middle class district, but if it is true that she is, in fact, nobility, then it might very well be a cause for worry."

As they reached the gates to the palace, a messenger arrived at the same time, and upon seeing the crown prince, handed him a letter from one of Dainia's wardens to the royal family. Eliezer thanked the messenger before entering the palace with his guard, breaking the seal as he walked in. His agitation was apparent as he glanced over the writing, much to Hildebrand's concern.

"If I may inquire, Your Highness, what is the issue?"

"It would seem that there is unease over the escape of the group of Lunarian assassins arrested from the village," Eliezer explained. He then paused and took a deep breath before he continued. "And my suspected involvement with such individuals."

Hildebrand was stunned. "How did this information already reach the wardens of our state? And do we still not know how those assassins escaped? Your Highness, clearing your name is of the utmost importance. You cannot lose your right to the throne."

Eliezer let out a sigh. "How true is it that I have made the right decisions?"

The knight stepped closer to the prince and lowered his voice. "Still better you than your brother, Your Highness. I shall do my very best to discover who the Red Robin is and pry a confession out of her."
