Eliezer let his hand fall to his side when she did not take it, and just listened to what she had to say. It was surreal to hear such words being spoken about the brother whom he grew up with - his adviser, his support, the one person who understood him when nobody else did. He was aware that while Mathazar had always been there to listen to whatever was troubling him, he had, in turn, never shared any of his own issues with Eliezer. Eliezer had all the while believed that it was because his brother had it all together, and it had been something he had always admired about Mathazar. However, it was now clear that the real reason for this was that he had never trusted Eliezer. Eliezer could not even recall a time when his brother had expressed to him his desire to inherit the throne. All their lives... did he really mean nothing to his brother? When the time would come for all to be revealed, Eliezer wanted answers.

"All this time... I had believed that if anything should happen to me, Dainia would be left in good hands," he bitterly commented. "I could not have been more wrong."

"This is all the more reason for you to protect yourself, Your Highness," Hildebrand added. "And for me to guard you with my life, for Dainia. I am sorry that we had to discover this about your brother."

"If this is true, then my brother never existed, only a figment of one created by a stranger who shares my blood. There will be peace for you and your family, Sir Hildebrand, as well as for those of our soldiers who were killed in that convoy, I assure you."

Hildebrand nodded. "Much appreciated, Your Highness."

Eliezer looked Raven in the eyes, reaching up to brush some stray strands of hair from her face before wiping her tears with the cuff of his sleeve. Inside, he was lost, confused, and devastated, but he forced a light smile, wanting to comfort his lady. He stood, holding his hand out to her once again, and hoped that she would take it this time.

"Very well, we shall look out for the Red Robin. Do inform us if you or your companions spot her, but do not engage her until we have sufficient evidence."
I just had Ailin join the camp group since everyone else seems to be at the party.
It had been a couple of days since Ailin had left her hometown, and though she had yet to miss it, and her family, it was too soon to tell if it would continue to be true. She welcomed the peace, the solitude, and the unfamiliar environment, and it was not to say that she disliked her district, but it had given her the time and the means to ponder over this 'mission' which she had been assigned. She was uncertain if the pondering had helped, however, for it could have just led her to think much too deeply into this phenomenon. What if this answer was much simpler than she thought it was? What if it was right in front of her? How would this 'fifth element' even manifest itself?

The sky was getting dark, and Ailin figured that it was time to find a place to settle in for the night. It would seem that the nearest town was some way off, and she was contemplating on setting up camp in a forested area when she heard what sounded like the shifting of some earth nearby, and went to investigate. She watched from a distance as the young man finished his makeshift shelter, and then as another directly approached it to speak to the first. She could not tell when it came to the latter, but the former, like herself, had visibly been touched by an element. His powers were of earth, and she assumed that he was out travelling with the same goal as hers. She had been by herself for some time, and she finally decided that some company would not hurt.

She walked up to the two as they spoke and took a slight bow. "Good evening, gentlemen. I don't suppose I could share this area for the night? I'll help to fuel the fire that you're building, of course."

No worries, will give Ailin a little background while waiting.
@Vampiretwilight Just so I have an idea of how to begin, it was mentioned these 'gifted' people already know of this mission given to them by the king and queen, and they have been sent out one by one? Is it simply pure coincidence that our characters happen to cross one another's paths at the start?
Banned because you were actually the first on this page.
@Vampiretwilight Awesome, I added a short description to the powers bit.

Name: Li Ailin (Eileen)

Age: 24

Element/Powers: Air/Aerokinesis - Abilities include temporary flight, vacuum creation, and the shaping of air into slicing or bludgeoning forces.

Bio: Ailin grew up in an Eastern middle-class district of the Wralia Empire, where her family established a crafting business and taught her the trade. After discovering her elemental abilities and being summoned by the royal family to set out in search of a mysterious 'fifth element', she left her hometown and began her adventure, starting from other regions of the island kingdom.

Others: She uses a pair of larger-than-average folding fans (have 15 inch radii). She keeps them in sleeves attached to both sides of her waist.
This looks fun :)

"Is that so?" Angelica responded, in a rather nonchalant fashion. "Hopefully they aren't all as unstable as this one."

'Four' glanced at the classroom stated for the first period on the schedule, and then proceeded to take the new girl one floor up. She passed Angelica 'Three' as she did so, and both copies acknowledged each other with a nod for amusement's sake.

"We have around ten," Three informed Four.

"Duly noted," was Four's reply.

Four continued along the hallway with Catalina before finally stopping outside one of the rooms. She looked at the sign on the door and checked it with the schedule, muttering the room number under her breath. She then held the schedule out to the Goth.

"Alright, here we are. Have yourself a great first day."
