Sure, I'll see which one's more convenient or interesting when the time comes.
Are you planning for the chip to be on him or back at the campus for her father's peeps to find?
"Well, thanks for letting me know, I guess..." he trailed off, turning back to rest his head against the partition between them.

He was relieved knowing that everyone else was safe. Well, as relieved as he could feel while currently in the back of the van of some criminal gang princess. As expected, she persisted in not entertaining his attempts at humor. The fact that she seemed so focused on whatever she was planning to do told him that she probably had no interest in mind games, which meant that whatever she was telling him was likely the truth. It might even be safe to think that she would not be doing what she was if she had other options. That would actually be rather tragic, in a way. Was he starting to feel sympathetic towards her? He was no psychology expert, but he did not think that Stockholm's Syndrome was supposed to kick in this quickly. This was just his mind drifting off, however. She could possibly be misunderstood, right?

"I guess I don't have to tell you my name. I mean, you probably know way more about me than just that," he pointed out, though, he wondered which name she would address him by. "So, Roxy, are we there yet?"

Adelina reflected on all the time she had spend with Eliezer growing up. Despite his constant lack of expression, she had never doubted that he always had Dainia's best interest at heart. Has that changed now that he had been exposed to love? Then again, what kind of ruler would he be if he had the need to be sheltered from such aspects of life in order to fulfil his obligations? She would not have thought Eliezer one to be swayed by something so sentimental. Perhaps he had a plan of his own to ensure the safety of the kingdom, one that differed from that of the rest of the royal family.

"Prince Eliezer is the heir to the throne," she replied. "He will ultimately bear the consequences of what I do to assist him. I must admit that I am unsure of what his true intentions and priorities are at this point in time, but the prince I know would choose to wed the heir of Lunar even if it was solely for the sake of keeping Dainia safe and ensuring peace between us and Lunar. Regardless of whether he actually is in love with her, I shall not oppose this decision if he makes it, for the sake of our kingdom."

Footsteps were then heard approaching, and Adelina shot Shadow an urgent glance, signaling that it was time for him to leave. "We can speak again at a later time."

A knight stepped out into the area. "Dame Gertrude Monday being sent to escort you to your temporary accommodation at the palace, my lady."

"Right, thank you," Adelina responded, as she stood up.

Gertrude curiously tilted her head at the noblewoman. "Did you have company here, my lady? I am certain that I heard you exchanging words with somebody else as I arrived."

Adelina shook her head while they walked off together. "You must be mistaken, Dame Gertrude."

After listening to what had been said at the table through the door, Eliezer and Hildebrand darted off before the occupants of the room poured out of the room. The prince and the knight agreed that they should start heading back to the forest to warn Allister and Roberto, as Dainian troops were going to be there in a few hours. They made their way to the palace stables and quietly mounted a horse each, before riding back to where they had come from. However, as they rode through an upper middle class district, Hildebrand suddenly skidded to a stop, causing Eliezer to do so as well.

Before the prince could inquire the reason for the sudden action, the knight pointed near a house some distance away and spoke up. "Your Highness, is she not the one we saw speaking to one of the ministers earlier?"

Turning to where Hildebrand was pointing, Eliezer saw the same red-haired woman from the palace climbing into the window of the house. He nodded, and then glanced at his knight, indicating that they should try to find out what she was up to. Keeping their distance from the house, they rode around for a better view of what was happening inside. Looking through the window, they saw the woman alone in the room with a young girl who also had red hair. The two spoke for a while, with the woman occasionally caressing the girl's face as they did so. They then shared an embrace, and the woman left the room the way she had gone in.

"The child, she looks like..." Eliezer began, and then trailed off as he was unsure.

"Miss Read?" Hildebrand finished, revealing that he was thinking the same as the prince.

Eliezer nodded, but decided that they could attempt to make something out of what they had just witnessed at a later time. They took off again, continuing on back to Wynton Forest.
