It’s none of my business what people say of me and think of me. I am what I am and I do what I do. I expect nothing and accept everything. And it makes life so much easier.

“There is no such thing as a new idea. It is impossible. We simply take a lot of old ideas and put them into a sort of mental kaleidoscope. We give them a turn and they make new and curious combinations. We keep on turning and making new combinations indefinitely; but they are the same old pieces of colored glass that have been in use through all the ages.”

I was wondering how to go about that. Thanks for handling it.

NP. Basically if you need the mods to whip out the hammer of justice, then any of mods HERE can be notified. Generally I go with Kangaroo because he's bouncy and gets things done with a quickness.

Vin wasn’t the least bit enthusiastic about climbing into the back of a truck that looked like it came from Fred Sanford himself, especially being driven by a kid who felt it necessary to pack enough heat for an army. However, these were, in fact unusual times for everyone, and desperation had a way of slipping into every situation, no matter how skewed it might be.

He turned to Jennifer as she apologized in her own way, and reached for her extended hand without hesitation, helping her out of the back seat of the car that the group would probably never see again. A few minutes prior, in bouts of pridefulness, anger, and despair, part of him really wanted to blurt out accusations that essentially said to her, Yep, it is you, not me., but those thoughts vanished when he met Jennifer’s glistening eyes again for the first time since they were back in Atlanta. Her expression was quite sullen and exhausted, and the mascara left small streaks of black running down her cheeks that Vincent wiped away with the sleeve of his shirt.

“You’re a mess...” He said with a wink and a smile, cupping Jennifer’s chin in his hand. “But aren’t we all?”

Vincent bent down, wrapped an arm under her legs and the other behind her back and lifted her up. Jennifer’s face appeared a though she were about to protest, but Vin cut her off at the pass. “And no, you’re not too heavy for me, and shut it...because I’m carrying you whether you want it or not.” He said again, his previous morose attitude replaced by positivity and a grin that didn’t seem to want to go away, as he walked over to the back of the truck, and placed her onto the lowered tailgate. Vin ran his fingers through her disheveled hair, pushing the tiny locks and strands out of her face, curling them gently behind her ears.

“And if our lives are going to be a fucked up tornado of chaos for awhile, let’s you and I be broken together from here on.”
I dated a Yoga instructor whose flexibility was...advantageous.

But otherwise, I didn't really learn anything about Yoga, per se *shrug*
Yep, that and we have a bogey in IC, but I put in a PM to the mods for removal.

Now Jennifer can't possible resist Vin

I've decided Vincent's new power is creating endless puppies out of thin air. Just imagine the love he can spread and even give each Nate clone a companion. Insta win!
By the way @Subject Zero, Nate's power should be up to par now, since it's had to have been almost a day since they left JJ's apartment.

Unless, of course, you had other plans.
Vincent snickered at Nate’s direct response toward Jennifer, but after catching her sour expression, wished he hadn’t, even moreso after she pulled away from him yet again. He couldn’t figure this chick out, but assumed it had something to do with the side effects and brutal damage that her healing had caused on her body and mind. It’s not as though he didn’t know what it was like to be in pain. He watched Jennifer struggle a bit to climb back into the car, and even when Vin attempted to help her, she pushed his hand away in protest and mumbling something incoherent under her breath.

“Really?...” Vincent huffed, leaning against the outside of the car crossing his arms and staring blankly into the wooded abyss ahead of him. He knew he’d been a bit rough around the edges lately, but he also knew he tried to be there for Jennifer. He wanted to be there for her, and yet he felt like she was hard-pressed to kill herself like no one else cared.

“I care...probably more than I should.” He said out loud to no one in particular.

He peered over at the pickup truck as well as the other truck that showed up shortly after. From his perspective, it looked as though the group was getting ready for a zombie apocalypse or a night out at a Rage Against the Machine concert. Of course, one was more plausible than the other, considering that band hadn't been together in years. Regardless, Vincent hoped that this dude “Eli” would come through for everyone, because no one needed more problems. He looked over into the passenger’s side seat at Jackson, who appeared to be unphased by the recent occurrences, and noticed he was half-asleep leaning against his propped up arm.

“Man, I wish I had that guy’s calm disposition.”
Mkay @Automaton, you're up bud. I think we're all starting to get creeped out by Jackson's lack of response, lol. And I don't want the rest of us to railroad over any of your potential posts, because we can easily do that ;)

I'm kidding...but yeah, post if you have a chance :)
“F-Fine. Just d-don’t hurt me...please.” Jimmy's voice was barely above a whisper as Kelly knelt down a few inches from him, holding a sly grin. He looked up at her after a few moments, and his expression seemed less fearful and more intrigued, as his gaze locked with the woman in front of him.

“The...um…” He paused for a moment in his unusual daze, before continuing. “The d-door won’t open without the k-key card. I’ll have to radio the nurse to let me out.” Jimmy pointed down to the walkie-talkie clipped on his belt. “I-I can tell her that…” The kid found himself staring down at Kelly’s breasts, and then back up at her eyes. “I can tell her that you’ll need a shower.” A sheepish smiled grew across his lips, as he lifted the radio to his mouth and called to the nurse. A few choice words were thrown back at him, since apparently it wasn’t the first time he’d “lost” his keycard. Nevertheless, the nurse said she’d be on her way in a few minutes.

Kelly’s ears perked up, as a faint shuffling sound, coming from somewhere up in the ceiling tiles along the wall, caught her attention. Jimmy gave her a strange look, as he wasn’t sure what had suddenly distracted her, but then one of the tiles fell to the floor with a thud, breaking apart into a few pieces, causing the kid in the corner to let out a short yelp. Kelly’s sight picked up the outline of a figure up in the darkness, and it’s scent seemed oddly familiar, yet sweat filled and rank at the same time.

“Well hey there Jimmy.” A female’s voice chimed in, poking her head out of the square hole. “And girl I’ve never met.” She shot Kelly an intrigued expression, sniffing the air. “Or have I?...” She mumbled to herself, although Kelly was able to pick up on the hushed tone.

“Is that Dior or Armani you were wearing before you got thrown into this dump?” She said with a slight grin, as the strange girl’s bare feet dangled from the ceiling and she quickly leaped down onto the cold floor. At first glance, the girl dressed in dark-colored scrubs seemed tall and lean, with a small chest, and wide hips. Her facial features were angular with defined cheekbones, dark circles under her eyes, and hair shaved short. Grime and a bit of dried blood was smeared on her chin, forehead, and wrists.

“Either way, you must have had some real sweet money in your former life. Me? You’d never catch me wearing any of that shit.” She said nonchalantly, as though this were just another day for her. “Although I also wasn't some rich bitch, either.” She added, shrugging her shoulders and looking over at the cowering kid in the corner.

“So Jimmy, I couldn't help but overhear the earlier conversations in here...something about losing a key and now you feel like you're up shits creek without a paddle?” She said with a smirk. “Well, in so many words of course.”

She walked over to the thick windowless steel framed door and knocks on it, barely making much of a noise. “I suppose you’ve tried knocking, even though these damn doors were made for a castle not a hospital. They probably wouldn’t have heard you anyway.” She said walking back over to the others, lowering her voice. “I propose that we wait for nurse whatsherface to show up, then you, new girl, feign unconsciousness while our boy Jimmy calls the nurse over to investigate a potential problem with the patient.”

The woman then nods her head, rubbing her hands excitedly together as though the plan was foolproof. “And then, I’ll be over there in the corner, waiting for the moment to jump out and knock that bitch on her old ass, so we can get the fuck out of here.” Her half-smile grew to larger more sinister looking grin, as though she were playing out the entire scene in her head with perfection.

“So...I already know that Jimmy is game” She gives him a wink. "But how about you, new girl?"

@Xandrya
“Jennifer wait just a fu-” The girl who he was crazy about and yet really wanted to strangle at the moment slipped from Vincent’s grasp and closed the car door behind her. Vin shook his head, and reached for the door handle to open it.

“Fuckin’ chicks…” He grumbled, looking over at the new guy Jack, who seemed to be more interested in what was going on outside the car. Vin shrugged and exited the car, catching up to Jennifer.

“Geez, JJ...I mean what the hell? You act like I don’t even care about the situation” Vin said, keeping his voice to a whisper as he curled an arm around Jennifer’s waist to keep her steady. “We’re all in this shit together, so just let me help you, because I don’t want to los-” He paused for a moment, wishing he hadn’t even spoke, because telling her how he felt may not even matter in the end. “...Just take it easy.”

Vin looked at Nate, and over at the other guy standing near the pickup truck, both of whom apparently knew one another. He couldn’t quite make out what either was talking about, but he also hoped that this new piece to the puzzle fit a little better than the others had.
