Oswyn stands at an average 5’7”, weighing around 130lbs. He has medium-short hair (As shown in the picture) and it’s completely white due to failed experiments. His eyes have also become quite clouded, however this is merely by appearance and has no effect on his vision (Alchemy is weird.). Os has quite an athletic body; he may not look strong, but he can still lift some pretty heavy things, like his equipment. Minor burn scars litter his body which were caused by aforementioned ‘failed experiments’. The largest of these scars covers his left forearm.

Oswyn is almost never seen without a white lab coat on, even when he’s out on the field. This coat has two diamond-shaped arcanite crystals which are purple in colour. Under his coat, he wears a white long-sleeved, collared shirt that is unbuttoned at the neck 100% of the time (Why choke yourself?), he also wears a part of black trousers and black leather boots. You probably wouldn’t even know that he was from Illon.

Personality:
Oswyn is quite unconcerned about the happenings in the world, often engrossed in his own work or whatever he’s looking at. If someone was to try to talk to him while he is working, he would either be unresponsive or ask them to assist him by giving them a menial task. If someone is annoying enough, he'll actually respond properly. He will, however, get involved in all sorts of situations in the world if it benefits his research.

He sees no reason to give respect to authority, thus he will talk to anyone in a very casual manner. If he were to be corrected by someone, he would comply in a very sarcastic manner. Oswyn can be quite talkative when he wants to be. Actively exchanging banter if he isn't doing any serious work.

History:
Oswyn had always been a strange child, often choosing to create strange concoctions using any kind of liquid he could find within the general vicinity, but most would say "Like father, like son". Such activities often led to him being scolded by his mother, but praised by his father.. After he ‘accidentally’ injured a group of children with it.

His mother was a Machinist from Teknoh, and his father was an Alchemist from Illon, both of whom were Divers, so it was only natural for him to follow in their footsteps. However, life on the road and in Illon wasn’t as easy as one might imagine. Or rather, it was as difficult as one might imagine. On top of his rigorous studies in alchemy and machinery, Oswyn also had to deal with the homeless ruffians in the streets of Illon. At the time, he had a very weak physique, thus he was beaten up a lot; but this worked out for the better. He became a very resilient person because of it.

As he grew older, he became more experienced in his crafts, he was able to create two pieces of alchemical engineering wonders which one will never see him without. By the age of 20, Oswyn became independent of his parents, seeking his own fortune as a Diver and Alchemist.

Magical Capabilities:
Oswyn possesses a fair amount of Arcane energy within him, however this was never really trained, thus it can only be used to charge A/Bs and create a weak ‘force-field’ around himself, which can only line his body like a suit. Something he learnt from being beaten up so much. This ‘force-field’ is supported by the two small arcanite crystals on his sleeves.

Weapons and Equipment:
Experiment No.1432 (A.K.A Alchemical Rotary Machine Gun)
It looks like an average minigun, however it’s actually the 1432nd attempt at making a stupidly destructive weapon. The last 1431 attempts exploded, each in their own unique ways. The ammunition drum of a ‘normal’ minigun has been replaced with multiple bottles of alchemical liquid that are connected via tube.. Slotted within this gun is a rather large A/B, which operates the rotation, fire mechanism, as well as the crystallization of the liquid. The A/B is also used to create a small barrier on the bottles to prevent them from breaking. When the trigger is pulled, the liquid in the tubes passes the A/B, entering the barrels. As it enters the barrel, the liquid is turned into a crystal, which is then fired out at high velocity. The effect of the crystal bullet is dependent on which bottle of liquid it’s currently set to. The recoil and kick on the minigun is quite easy to control… For Oswyn that is.

This gun is pretty ‘easy’ to store as the barrels can retract to some extent. The gun has a long shoulder sling, allowing him to let it sit diagonally across his back and have quick access to it if need be.

So the question is, “Why a minigun?”
The answer is “Why the fuck not?”

Experiment No. 1431.5 (Alchemical Revolver)
“So, does Oswyn have any… smaller weapons?”
Yes. Yes he does.

Experiment No. 1431.5 is a weapon that was miraculously created without a hitch.. Yet. This revolver works off the same premise as the minigun, except in a smaller, more compact form.. Which is less destructive, but still as deadly, depending on the type of shot. Each chamber of the cylinder holds a small amount of alchemical fluid, however the cylinder doesn’t rotate after firing, allowing Oswyn full control over what’s actually being shot out.

Other nice things:
Oswyn carries around a mobile alchemy station, as well as many dangerous and volatile chemicals, within his sling bag. He also had a few potions slotted into his belt. The effects of which are only known to him. He also has a gas mask.

Specialties:
- Very good at understanding the situation, but not the feelings of others
- Surprisingly, he’s a good cook.
- Good at tripping over things.

Layla has light blue snake eyes (The poisonous slit pupils) and her hair has a dark blue highlight at the tips.

Layla stands at around 5'7" and has an athletic body-type. Her 'assets' are quite modest, her cup size being a comfortable C.

Personality:

Layla can be quite down-to-earth, but also quite absentminded at times. She tends to say what she's thinking, mostly because it's helpful. She's quite an easy-going person. However, this doesn't mean that she neglects her studies. Due to the promise she made with her parents, she refuses to fail. This fear of failure has extended passed academic level, which makes her a very stubborn person at times. Although it's very hypocritical of her, she also thinks that failure is necessary for growth. Of course it becomes a case of "Practice what you preach."

History:

Layla was born into a family of engineers in Atlas. Her family had been researching and creating some of Atlas' finer machinery and weaponry. From a young age, she was trained to be an engineer like the rest of her family. However, her dreams differed from her parent's. She wanted to be a Huntress. Her parents agreed to her wishes, under one condition.. That she create a weapon that was capable of handling the family semblance without being destroyed or damaged in any way.

After years of trial and error, Layla had finally succeeded in creating the weapon that she carries with her to this day. After creating her tool, her parents sent her to Beacon academy instead of Atlas, saying that she would only become a soldier in Atlas rather than the Huntress that she wanted to become. Her parents gave her another condition. If she was to fail her dream, she must return as an engineer and never look back.

Since the fall of Beacon, Layla hasn't been able to communicate with her parents back in Atlas, however she isn't really willing to go back there anyway.

Description:
Lode is a dust powered blunderbuss that fires out a close-ranged blast of dust energy. This blast's element/effect depends on what dust has been loaded. The blunderbuss is also used as a melee weapon, as it's overall weight and it's nigh-indestructible nature makes it a very good blunt weapon.

Description:
Font is a dust powered pistol that resembles a flintlock. By loading a single dust crystal, it can fire up to 6 shots. Unlike it's larger counterpart (Lode), it can fire more effectively over distance as it shoots out small 'bullets' rather than a blast cone. The bullet's element/effect depends on what dust has been loaded.

Description:
Ai is a small, dust powered, scout drone that can fit in the palm of your hand. It tends to float around Layla's shoulder unless commanded otherwise. It doesn't do anything other than inform Layla of incoming Grimm.

Semblance:

Overlode
Layla can use her semblance to increase the maximum potential of herself or her weapons for a very short period of time. For example, Layla can overload herself to increase her speed, strength or even her aura. However, this semblance causes large amounts of fatigue and can even cause her to faint if she didn't have enough stamina when activating the semblance. Layla tends to use 'Overlode' on her blunderbuss as using it on her body will deteriorate it.

Strengths:

Layla is very strong against small to large groups of enemies. Especially ones that group together (Like Grimm). She's very physically strong and her instincts are quite keen. Overall, she's a very tank-y person.

Weaknesses:

Despite her physical attributes, Layla isn't exactly the fastest person. Thus she finds it hard to deal with high mobility targets. Her 'Overlode' Semblance, although very powerful, can make her a very vulnerable target after being used.

Relationships:

- Lloyd 'Midas' Gold
Layla has been friends with Lloyd since they were children, having met via their parent's collaborations due to work related projects.

Other:

- Likes to tinker with her weapons and drone in and out of class (This tends to get her into trouble most of the time)
- She's quite good at singing
- Perhaps due to her Snake Faunus heritage, she really hates Nevermores
- Try not to stare into her eyes for too long, you might feel paralyzed~ Or maybe charmed?

This sounds very interesting... I think I'll lurk a little to see how the posts work, because I'm very curious how the story unfolds through just voice acting.

Perhaps what I'm picturing in my head is incorrect, but that's why I'm curious :)
