@AHeartlessNobody I like it. But do you think we can pull all that off. Do the characters justice? Rey, Fin, Leia, and anyone else who decides to step onto the stage :D
Ben Solo

He feared she was wrong; that even if they had stayed together the visions would still haunt him as voraciously as they were. Still, Ben felt her eyes on him, expecting of an answer. He couldn't believe wholeheartedly like she could but he attempt too for her. He could feign it, the type of feigning one might see in galactic theaters or holovision.

Yes, he could feign it for her.

The smile that appeared on his face as he trailed behind the padawans and Master Luke was one of practiced ease. Years pretending to be okay when actually struggling on the inside with the Dark and Light had finally come in handy. His lips quirked into a half smile, it was charming and not at all any different than his father's.

"Right, we're both strong in the Force. If we continue to guard each other's minds and hearts, we'll be just fine."

He remembered the kiss she planted on his hand not twenty minutes earlier and felt guilt for lying to her. But he cringed at the thought of her uncertainty turning into darkness. Only one of them should be on the borderline, only one should be face the Dark Side. The other should be forever looking at the light, ready to grasp him- ready to help the other up should they falter, he fixed in his mind.

Ben soon folded his arms over his chest; the tenseness, the anxiety of which was hidden well beneath his flowing robes. "Yes, we'll be fine. We should be more worried about are them. Their are few who are our equal in age but weak in the Force. They will be harder to convince to listen after yesterday. Their pride may cloud their judgements. May make them susceptible to stupidity," he whispered with a cool chuckle.

"Either way, I leave those foolish few to you. The rest I'll heard like livestock"

Between the shoulders of padawans, he could feel Luke investigating him in the Force. Perhaps he was checking if the Temple was affecting him. Ben glanced towards Odette, looking for any taletell signs that she may be experiencing the same.
Finally meet up again I would think. I'm not sure how old he was in the movie but I've always pictured him and Odette reuniting sometime between his battle with Rey and him hearing news of the old man having Luke's location. Of course, that could be changed at your own whims if you see otherwise :)

He tried his best to shake the vision away and for the most part he had. It had become a muffled echo in the back of his head as Luke spoke, elaborated on a plan to explore the Jedi Temples. All he had been worried about was their training, how it would be slice into it. But Odette, the mind reader that she was, had gotten the answer the for him. As usual he was pleased with her; he refrained from showing it outwardly.

Ben found his eyes on Luke as he left. It was like an invisible thread had connected them suddenly and as he vanished through the doors of sliding metal, he turned to watch him. The semblance of a farewell in his soft darkened eyes. Exactly where the farewell had come from, he wasn't sure but since last night; he'd felt invigorated... changed. It was the coming of a new path in his destiny and for whatever reason, Luke wasn't on it.

Odette's word found his ears next.

He felt worried for her trepidations all of a sudden. Did his lips not feel real? Were they not as tangible as he was right in front of her? The confusion he felt came in the form of a slight tilt, a narrowing of his eyes, and pursed lips.

"Of course it happened, Odd," he answered, feeling insecure about his actions. "Do I have to expose myself to you again, let you peel away my raw, hard exterior a second time? It was hard enough the first." His voice was but a whisper to the world, though he made it clear and unintentionally emotional for Odette.

Emotion filtered through the infinitely tight weavework of the Force, he could feel it bolstering him. He tried his best to keep it in check.

"I forget myself with you sometime. How manic and crazy I can seem. It was no dream, Odette. This... Us, it was plenty real and its not something I would hope you'd doubt in the future." He forced a kind of smirk, an assurance--he hoped--that turned into charm and beauty.
@AHeartlessNobody Yea. I think he'd observe us before letting us know he knows. And while I'm at it, I don't' think he'd let them know until he had cause too. He might even treat it as an experiment. Some kind of observation into the possible future of the Jedi.
I can't imagine him not seeing it but I don't see him out right saying no, don't do it either. Especially considering he's like the first of a new generation. He might not be as strict about it seeing as he's not as tightwadded as most Jedi

Kid? He let his eyes fall to the ground to hide his scowl. I've seen more than any man, known the fear of being hunted, and has been honed by the powerful hand of hatred. No, he was far from a "kid". He was the chosen Wingly, he had decided long ago, deep within the heart the wilds. No one has the right nor privilege to call me kid.

He outwardly ignored her comment, voicing his outrage towards it would do him no good and only cause more trouble. At the moment, he was content with being invisible to the masses. To the stains.

"My name?" he asked her with tinge of indifference. "My name is Ventori and the humans have made life more than difficult for me." He felt his ire intertwine his fingers, his nails dug into his skin as he remembered... remembered it all with full clarity.

"You have a brother and mother... but what's two to a million. There is only one way to live in this world and that is to travel without notice. Be on the verge of never existing. That is how you survive with the humans, that is what they force you to do."

For a long moment he sat with his anger then slowly, all at once, he sighed and visibly loosened. The hood of his clothing was pulled over his head even more, a physical act to go along with his ideals.
@AHeartlessNobody Sorry its short. I have to work tonight and I ended up sleeping a lot longer than necessary. But I'm trapped between staying up or napping. Considering I have to work from 10pm to 7am, I'm leaning towards napping.
The Next Morning - Coruscant, The Jedi Temple

Ben's consciousness fluttered awake, though his body demanded more sleep. He didn't know why but he felt oddly comfortable and complacent. But in that moment he just wanted to stay still, he wanted to let Odd continue to rest on his shoulder. Her lovely scent wafted pass him, near enveloped him. If not for the incessant need to relieve himself he would have rested in that moment for hours more.

Instead though, to his surprise, Odette had moved first. He wondered how long she had been sleep but thought better than to ask, in fact, he pretended to be sleep; if only to save him the embarrassment of seeming overly attached to her. For awhile he heard her rustling through her clothed bag, the shuffle of her books whispered her next move. A silent smirk appeared on his lips.

A few more minutes passed before he roused with a convincing motion, than let his eyes open. Ben stood up then to go use the lavatory. He skirted around the padawans who were sleep and noticed that Master Luke was missing from the others. That made feel... weird and worried. Perhaps it was last night's confession to Odette... their new relationship that provoked the feelings. It made him wonder if the Master could sense things like those too.

The luke-warm water fell over his hands as he looked at himself. His pale skin felt taunt over his face, his eyes looked heavy; weighed down by his years of agitation and control. He expected them to become livelier now that he'd embraced the freedom to choose his own destiny.

... Claim your seat. A hollow breath echoed afterwards.

Ben stumbled back as the quicksilver visage of the black-helmed warrior flashed before his eyes. He tripped over his ankles and fell, banging his head against the door. A moment later, he could hear Luke tap against the door.

"You okay in there?" he asked.

Ben rubbed the spot on his neck where the pain seemed to spawn from, it throbbed and was tinder. "Yea," came his louder than needed response. "A spider fell from the ceiling, scared the crap outta me is all."

"Oh... well come on out. I must speak with you and Odette."

"A-Alright," Now he felt anxiety creep up through the fear of the vision.

Before long he had returned to the room, where he found Luke waiting as calmly as a sentienel and Odette. Ben glanced over to her and wondered if the old-man had said anything yet.

@Kouki@Wade Wilson I refuse to agree with your vision of things lol. If only for a second let's all think about how disappointed Jackson is going to be once he realizes the Rangers are people like him. And not a glorified version of hope.
