Sasha Observation: 15 - 29 = -14
It didn't take too long actually. As Sasha examined the wall from top to bottom, eventually she was able to find the thinnest of cracks in the wall. Furthermore, she was also able to see a tiny button on the base of the wall that would practically be invisible to those who weren't searching over the wall with a fine toothed comb. Pressing the button, a click could be heard as within the next moment, that part of the wall gave way, revealing a long corridor that most likely went to the other side of the building, this being their ticket past the barrier and to the place where Keiko and the others had gone.

With this, they could easily and quickly go through to the other side, up the stairs that Henry and company had gone up, and then begin making their way to the room where the fight was taking place, sounds of fighting as they got to the top floor able to be heard and thus able to be their guide to where the action was taking place.
In the meantime, the three other Gamers were still fighting the Blank Mage, who they seemingly had on the ropes. Mike went for two Tamashi no Ha's on the downed Taichi as they needed to act quickly indeed before the man could get back up and cast more spells, especially since he could use that same sword spell that the Spatial Mage could use, one that was also more powerful and thus capable of killing Lucian in one shot even as it seemed to ignore defenses.
Attack 1: 89 - 23 Seishin no Ken (DEX) - 25 Distance Bonus - 18 Skill Bonus = 23 (Max Damage)

Damage Dealt: 87

Attack 2: 80 - 23 - 25 - 18 = 31 (Hit!)

Damage Dealt: 75
Melee really was the best way to go on this guy. He seemed to have less physical resistance than he did mystical resistance. In fact, the extra spiritual damage from the Tamashi no Ha was seemingly not doing anything to him. So in reality, it just wasn't high enough level of a skill yet to actually deal any damage to a person of this level, making Mike just better off smacking the man repeatedly with the high powered spirit blade then waste more MP on the Tamashi no Ha. Still, Mike was able to get in two good strikes regardless, probably due to the fact that he was on the ground nearly paralyzed.

Gnome, following Lucian's orders, attempted to grab the Blank Mage with her Earthen Hand ability while Rai moved in closer to try and get his lightning bolts to hit.
Gnome Earth Hand: 0 (not Critical) (Hit!)
The hand was successful in grabbing the mage, having quite the firm grip on him, meaning he would have to try and break free the next opportunity he had. This allowed Rai to easily move in closer to try and lightning bolt him, but with Mike and the Earth Hand both right there, plus the man being on the ground, ranged attacks would have a bit of a harder time hitting their mark.

Again, he had some pretty high resistance to that sort of magical damage, but it still did a nice bit of damage despite all of that. Normally Rai would have needed to keep his distance, but he was able to get up right close and personal and fire three bolts directly into the man. MP was starting to run out for Lucian though, probably only one more barrage of those bolts manageable before he would need to try and replenish his MP.

The Blank Mage, unfortunately, got over being stunned quite quickly and first had to deal with breaking free from the earthen hand. Lucikly he had just the trick for that, as his ring suddenly shone a bit, he suddenly teleported free from Mike's and Galkyr's reach and the earthen hand, but that still consumed a bit of time that he had, time he spent suddenly doing something completely different. A smirk appeared on his face as he snapped his fingers twice.

"Lets get rid of these pests first!" Suddenly arrows of water, much like Ren's, appeared, but they suddenly turned into arrows of wind instead, six of them appearing with a single snap of his fingers, all of them quickly condensing into one much larger arrow which flew at Gnome at a high speed. Earth was weak against Wind, so if it hit, it could be deadly.
Wind Arrow: 9 on the dice (Max Damage)

Damage Dealt: 480
Unfortunately, the high powered Wind Arrow was more than enough to shred apart Gnome's entire earth essence composed being, this man able to use and change spells at will in various ways as it looked like first a more powerful version of Ren's Aqua Arrows. Nonetheless, Gnome had been destroyed, leaving them down one powerhouse of an elemental. He would have gone after the humans, but taking care of the summons first was a higher priority on his list, as suddenly with his second snap he suddenly seemed to move alot faster than normal.

The next snap after that sent three arrows condensed into one at Rai, only they looked like ones more or less made of earth. The other three that appeared were condensed down and sent at the blasted back Lilim.
Earth Arrow (Rai): -19 (Max Damage)

Damage Dealt: 200

Earth Arrow (Lilim): 2 (Critical)

Damage Dealt: 265
Rai was outright decimated by the high powered Earth Arrow, and Lilim seemed to take the blow head on as well. She already had been damaged by her own power backfiring, now she had taken on a full straight to the center blow as well, her HP looking pretty worse for wear. The man was moving faster than he had before though, but at the same time it was as if he was moving like this all at once rather than in succession, like as though space itself were distorting around him to let him move twice in a single few seconds.

Which was bad, as he sent a blackish lightning bolt, which looked and felt similar to Lilim's, only more powerful, straight at Lilim.
Lightning Bolt: -20 (Max Damage)

Damage Dealt: 165
Unfortunately, as the bolt seemed to come the instant after the arrow did, Lilim wasn't able to stand that instant barrage of spells, crying out as she was also destroyed. This man was aiming for their Summons, which was the brunt of their combative force and also gave him the number's advantage. He seemed to have no intention of stopping Ren's Giga Spiral Bolt, which made Ren feel heavily uneasy. Well, even if he could somehow use the Giga Spiral Bolt like he did with Lilim's Demonic Lightning, he would have to charge it for ten seconds just like Ren had to, the charging of which was nearly done.

The man didn't stop there though. With one final, instant succession snap towards Galkyr, he used a different spell this time. Bones suddenly erupted from the ground with sharp looking, bone like blades all over them. Unfortunately though, Galkyr wasn't swift enough in that moment to get out of the way, now effectively being trapped inside of a large cage of bone that emanated an aura of death, several bone like blades stabbing at the trapped Galkyr.

"This is my power, as a Blank Mage, I can pretty much take anything you dish out, and throw it back with more power, including the spells of those last two you fought". Whether or not he was bluffing or telling the truth was uncertain, but he seemed quite confident with this as he had a smirk on his face. The space around him though seemed to cease its distortions now so his movements returned to normal. The group was in some serious trouble now. With Galkyr trapped and the other Summons all gone, they would have to rely on their own basic ability to defeat this man. Still, it wasn't like they hadn't done any damage to him.

Galkyr was stuck fighting the cage he was trapped in, looking quite pissed as its eyes glazed over and he gnashed his teeth in a feral rage, his body seemingly rippling with more raw physical power now as though he was going berserk. Next, his claws suddenly became encased in flames, and then his body seemed to rippled with more physical power as in a frenzy with great speed, he seemed to strike at the cage multiple times, attempting to bring it down. Luckily the cage was a stationary object, so hitting it was no trouble. It seemed quite resilient though, but the fire that Galkyr had on his claws was seeming to help.

A total of 110 Damage was dealt with each of the high speed strikes of its mighty claws, there being three of them in total. Still, that didn't seem to cut it as the death cage was still entrapping Galkyr.

Around this time though, Ren completed the charging of his Giga Spiral Bolt. He poured every all but 100 MP into it, knowing that he had no choice but to do so, meaning he had poured 498 MP into the gigantic bolt, well 50 of that being needed to use the Skill itself, so in total he put in 448. They needed to take this Blank Mage out and soon, and Ren wanted to chuck as much raw power as he could at the man. If one little Mana Bolt could be stopped, then he thought an incredibly gigantic one spinning with tremendous force would deal some incredible damage, especially with that barrier around him broken. He only had nearly a fifth of his HP left, so Ren hoped that this would finish him off.
Giga Spiral Bolt: 38 + 25 Skill Penalty - 37 Projectile Weaponry = 26
Unfortunately, it just was too hard of a skill to aim, Ren cursing as the man deftly dodged the gigantic, fast moving bolt. Ren would be panicking right now, but as he felt that panic rise, the Gamer's Mind skill appeared in his mind and he was calmed down. It truly was a special Skill. Ren was indeed a gamer, and all he had to do was just take a Mana Potion the next chance he got, and he still had 100 MP to fall back on. Their enemy was only at just above a fifth of his health, so they could win this as long as he had no way of healing.

"Such a powerful attack... might have even did some serious injury if it had hit, too bad that it was just a bit too slow eh, ya brat". Taichi mocked right after he dodged the giant bolt. This battle was still in full swing, and right now had just taken a turn for the worse.

Hopefully Silas and Sasha would be able to get there soon, as the three Gamers were most likely going to need their help now.
Hello?
As Sasha and Silas discussed what to do next, a voice would suddenly appear in both of their heads. The voice was that of the small, and mysterious, girl Sayo who had been left outside of the base. "To your left is a hidden door. It should lead to a hall that connects you to the other side of the building, allowing you to go up the way Henry went. You should hurry though, as right now our other two friends are fighting a tough opponent. You need not worry about running into anymore enemies though, they have been cleared out". After that, the voice faded from their minds. She really was a mysterious sounding girl, especially with how still and soft her voice was. Coupled with the fact that she was only Level 5 and somehow in this organization of strong people also was something to consider.

Still, the two of them could either follow Sayo's advice and find the secret door on the left wall, or try and run all the way back to the outside, then run all the way up through the route that Henry's group. With their basic running speed, which stemmed from DEX and STR, as well as the Ban Family Foot Technique they could do that in a short amount of time if they didn't feel like trying to find some random secret door.
In the meantime, Lucian, Mike, and Ren were still fighting against this strong opponent, who fortunately got stunned by a failed casting of a spell and also got clobbered by Nero and Touma for some serious damage. Mike moved first, rushing forward as he activated Spirit Blade to create the highly consumptive blade of spirit energy and used the Tamashi no Ha for a hopeful extra punch. Thankfully he was still a bit stunned as Mike rushed forward, so he wasn't really able to ready himself to avoid despite the large gap of distance between him in the Gamers, nor was he able to adequately dodge at all.
Mike Attack: 83 - 24 Seishin no Ken - 18 Skill Bonus = 41

Miss
Unfortunately, despite being stunned, he was barely able to still get out of the way of the somewhat poorly executed attack. Fortunately though, the assault on him hadn't finished yet as both Gnome and Rai now acted, Gnome aiming to help Mike flank Taichi by smacking the utter crap out of him with her rather large, earthen club.
Swing 1: 67 (Miss)

Swing 2: 97 (Fumble)
Gnome wasn't doing so hot this battle either. The first swing missed, despite two people being in proximity to a stunned, or more like staggered, opponent. The second swing went in such a wide arc that Gnome accidentally flung her club across the room and fell down in the process. It was easy to say that even she wasn't perfect and this was not her time.

Rai, in the meantime, was throwing multiple lightning bolts at Taichi, the likes of which each drained 30 MP, a good chunk, but they were pretty powerful from previous experience.
Bolt 1: 26 (Hit!)

Damage Dealt: 10

Bolt 2: 13 (Max Damage)

Damage Dealt: 25

Bolt 3: 2 (Critical)

Damage Dealt: 75
The first two bolts did little damage, despite the second one being dead on. Perhaps it was because of the man's high Resistance, which was 50, although since Lucian hadn't used Observe he didn't really know this. Rai was only a basic elemental after all, so it was easy to see that he wasn't all that powerful, and just draining MP at this point. The third bolt, on the other hand, hit the man dead on in the chest, a loud cry escaping from him as, probably thanks to his staggered state, the lightning bolt charged all through his body, making him fall to the ground on one knee, Lucian quickly activating the Whirlwind Shield after commanding his Elementals.

Perhaps though Lucian would need to bring a bit more power than what Rai had if he wanted to keep inflicting damage, but without Sylph getting to use an Elemental Synchronization technique with just Rai and Gnome would be difficult since, according to what the books he used to learn elemental magic taught about the elemental relationships, Earth and Lightning do not get along, and neither do Air and Earth since Earth is strong against Lightning and Air strong against Earth.

"You... fucking brats..." Taichi was gritting his teeth, as he was getting pissed now, but electricity charging through him in that single moment paralyzed him, allowing the Gamers another preemptive strike.

One that Ren took full advantage of. "Demonic Lightning" is what he chanted, finishing the spell charging as a bolt of blackish lightning shot from his fingertips and straight at the man.
Demonic Lightning: -9 (Hit, Max Damage)

Damage Dealt: 63 Damage
Taichi was taking a slight beating here, but all of these attacks were just putting small dents in his HP rather than large chunks. He was incredibly tough, as were those who managed to do a total of 500 Damage to him with just two attacks. It was clear that they were all much more powerful than the Gamers.

After that, Ren quickly just pointed, and both Demons gave a nod as they set about to attacking Taichi however they thought best while Ren cast Aqua Arrows once, before chanting "Giga Spiral Bolt" and aiming his hands towards the downed Mage. "Try to cover me while I charge this thing up!" It was Ren's most powerful Skill, and their only trump card, and he wanted to take this man down before he could perform any tricks, like the one that nearly cut Lucian in two.

This man was not only tough, but somehow was passively blocking Ren's spells as well, as Ren could tell that something was making him have a high resistance to all of Ren's magic. It also didn't help that the first arrow was completely off mark, but hopefully a powered Giga Spiral Bolt would change all of that.

The two demons, in the meantime, got to work trying to rip Taichi a new one, Galkyr especially, its claws glowing yellow as it attempted to slash Taichi multiple times with high powered swipes.
Power Swipe 1: -26 (Max Damage)

Damage Dealt: 80

Power Swipe 2: 19 (Max Damage)

Damage Dealt: 80

Power Swipe 3: 58 (Miss)
The first two glowing swipes tore into him, making him cry out, Melee being probably the more effective choice here than magic apparently, Lilim starting on firing bolts of lightning at the downed Taichi as well.
Bolt 1: 100 (Fumble)
However, Lilim didn't do such a thing, as she went to fire one, the power she tried to summon somehow backfired, making it exploded in her hand and throw her back, Ren muttering a curse as this happened as, despite having him on the ropes, they were barely damaging this guy except bit by bit, and Ren needed all of the help he could get while he tried to charge the Giga Spiral Bolt. He had MP Potions, so he was going to pour every last drop of MP he had into this attack.
Ren healed herself and Mike for 49 HP, while she healed Mike for full (the healing spell is an AOE that heals a single target for a good bit and nearby targets for a small % of that)
Its ok. I will go ahead and post for both groups to allow progression (and you can just post in response to what I post).

Also, Ominal, there was no need to use a Healing Potion (Ren already healed you back up to full HP with her spell).
Yes, that lets you use 2 Actions in the same turn.
So yea, you wouldn't really 'use' a Talent (just read Kaito's post).

Its fine if she assumes it though, you guys don't know the mechanics of the game, but just looking at something closely or examining it would automatically be a usage of Observation.

Also, too lazy to post this in the IC (since I'm busy), but Midori finds nothing from examining the four pedestals. Not gonna say whether that is a poor roll at play or that there is nothing of note to be found.

But yea, she found nothing.
They are the font of your overall abilities, but yes they are passive in a sense.

Think Talents in a sense of general things you can do. Like I can climb, or I can use my senses to percieve things around me. They are essentially just basic skills/knacks that people can do. But yes, for the sense of activating, they are passive, so they are always active.

There are specific Active Skills you can get that can enhance certain Talents (like one that you get automatically at Observe Rank 5 that is very, very useful) that are voice activated.

But yea, Talents are passive otherwise. They are just things you do.
"All in all, we aren't going to be your experiments. Understood?" Ren responded now, glad that the other two Gamers felt the same way he did. Of course, who wouldn't in this situation? They had heard absolutely horrible things about hunters, one of them being if they were captured, death would be the best outcome. Normally such an expression would be an exaggeration, but in a world of supernatural powers such as this, it would be hard to say whether or not that expression truly was an exaggeration. Regardless of the case, Ren had no intention of joining or being experimental material, even if the experiments were supposedly going to be 'painless'.

Taichi was silent, for all of a couple of seconds, before he suddenly burst out laughing, nearly falling backwards out of his chair in the process. "Oh my god... t-that's... so precious". He couldn't stop laughing, Ren clenching his fists. It was a good time to attack, but he held back. The man teleported in front of their faces in a matter of moments. It was clear that they were somewhat outmatched here in terms of ability, plus Ren wasn't sure if the man would just absorb his magical attacks as he did that Mana Bolt. After a few more long seconds of laughing, he wiped a tear from his eye.

"Oh... ohh... ugh, sorry bout that". He sighed heavily, regaining his composure a bit. "Damn though, that was hilarious. I haven't had a good laugh like that in a while". Taichi grinned, but that grin turned into a small smirk. "I mean, the fact that you guys think that you have a choice. That is utterly priceless". He stood up, and with a snap of his fingers the chairs and tables vanished, Ren managing to stand before the chair fell. Luckily the reflexes of the other two as well, albeit barely for Lucian, allowed them to stand and not fall on their asses.

"You are all so naive. You come here, with little power and some big friends and suddenly think that you can talk terms with me?" At this point he was looking at Lucian. "Seriously, what's up with that shit? Its a great joke, but if you're trying to be serious, your just shit out of luck". He was pretty much mocking their negotiation attempts now. Still, if anything these attempts did buy time. Some time for hopefully others to show up and help.

"Nonetheless, if its a battle you want... its a battle you shall have..." The man smirked and suddenly snapped his fingers after teleporting back a few yards away from their small group.
Magic Attack (Target- Lucian): 25 (Hit!)

Before the three of them could even blink, green swords of energy just like the one the Spatial Mage used, only a bit more powerful, were sticking out of all three of them. Lucian's, however; missed his vitals just by a little, sparing his HP bar from hitting 0 by a mere 2 HP. A little more though, and it would have cleaved straight through Lucian and straight up killed him.

"See what I mean, no means of defending yourselves. You're just a buncha weaklings..." He snapped his fingers once again.
Magic (Lucian): 26 (Hit!)

Resistance: Failed

Magic (Mike): 30 (Hit!)

Resistance: Failed

Magic (Ren): Fumbled
The flashes of light that appeared from his hands were chains, leaping out and moving. Unfortunately, neither Mike nor Lucian were swift enough to dodge them, nor were they strong enough to break the chains of magic that suddenly just appeared, the chains cold like death, their bodies being immobilized and unable to move. Ren got lucky though. Instead of a third set of chains attacking him, the ring on his finger, similar to the ones the Spatial Mage and Necromancer possessed, sent a strange, ugly, black glow up his arm, making him shudder for a moment and grit his teeth, as if he was stunned for just a moment.

Ren took this as a chance and began preparing the Healing Wave spell, something that took a bit of time to perform, but they all seriously needed the healing, especially Lucian.

Fortunately though, both being stunned and their negotiation attempts did, fortunately by some incredible grace of luck, by them time. Suddenly, from nowhere, a blur sped past the three Gamers and struck the blank mage straight in his stunned face, dealing a whopping 200 damage and throwing him into the opposite wall. With a big smirk on his face was Touma Urameshi, one of the enforcers, the Grappler. That punch had also made something around him shatter like glass, which was probably why it didn't deal as much damage as it should have as the force of that flaming punch broke whatever barrier was around him most likely. Touma had some wounds on his body and a few burns probably from other fights in this place, but couldn't look more excited. "Finally, an opponent who ca--" Before he could either finish or throw another punch though, he suddenly vanished, just as Henry and Keiko did when they arrived in this room.

Following that, right as he managed to stagger up, was a shadow rising from the floor, and a pair of black claws racking across his back, making the man cry out loudly as they tore his robes a bit and left several bad looking, black gashes across his back now, his clothes torn slightly. That was another 300 damage, a bit deeper of a strike this time that had some dark power behind it. Nero was standing there, behind him, having risen up from his shadow, literally. Unfortunately, before he could make an instant followup attack, he too vanished.

Finally came Keiichi, who broke the chains on the Gamers, but before he could lift another finger, he too vanished, all three of them having technically arrived at the same time.

Ren, at this time, completed his spell, the casting of it anyway, making the incredible damage all three of them had suffered vanished, the Healing Wave spell targeting Lucian to make his wounds vanish, but Ren and Mike still had some damage, having only healed 49 HP from the Spell's power, but still, they were better off than Lucian was after he had gotten hit.

"Dammit... damn it all. Your friends may have helped you, but no one else can help you now, in fact, without that... interference... you would have been at my mercy!" He seemed a bit pissed now, his cool a bit gone by this point. Fortunately for the Gamers, he was just about to come out of being stunned, so they would have ample opportunity to strike, Ren taking the few seconds he had after his spell's completion to summon his demons and begin casting of a different spell.

The others would get their moment to strike now. With 500 of his HP, or 1/3rd essentially, gone and whatever barrier was around him down, the Gamers would stand a bit of a better chance all thanks to Lucian buying them time by getting him to negotiate and him stunning himself just then with his own magic, something he was just beginning to come out of.
Well, since no one posted for anything, just did the rolls to see if anyone, who is looking, finds any other clues.

The answer to that, is no. No one else found any clues while searching except for Sumato XD

So yea... need posts people.
