It'd be nice to be able to *play* an RP I'm interested in for once, rather than having to *run* one all the time. Of course, doesn't help that I'm picky about what I enjoy.

I've been roleplaying in one form or another since the late '90's. I've played as many tabletop games as I have online ones, and the quality of both has varied wildly.
I have an active imagination, and I love immersive, descriptive roleplaying. My genres of choice are sci-fi, and modern-day (with a sci-fi twist). I like RP's that mix reality with fiction, and throw an unusual and exciting twist into an otherwise normal setting - something like Stargate SG-1 would be an example, or Battle: Los Angeles. An almost recognizable world, but with some sci-fi twists.
I'm a fan of military and action-based RP's that do this especially, and they are easily my favourite - though I rarely see any that appeal to me enough - all the military RP's are too 'plain', and anything else modern day is usually fantasy or fandom. Or *shudder* school RPs...
I have a lot of fandoms; Transformers, Macross, MLP: FiM, Fallout, Battletech, Ace Combat, and others to varying degrees. But I don't often join fandom RPs because the ones I'm into don't come up, or I am very picky about my RPs and their plots and feel.
I don't play in free, as I find the short posts and bad spelling and grammar infuriating. I like a lot of depth, story, setting and character to my RPs, so am usually found in Casual and sometimes Advanced. Though, usually running my own RPs.
I'm 43 years old, and live in the UK, so I may not be on all the time.
I also like playing non-human characters, especially anthro ones, robots or synthetics, or some hybrid of both.
Outside of my RP tastes and hobby; I read a lot of books, play wargames and TTRPGs, make model aircraft and vehicles, and am also a brony and furry. I have been running a large local furmeet group for the last 10 years and have been involved in running a very successful UK MLP convention.

I'd just say that if you want to make a post, then go ahead and make one. We don't really have a posting order, and if there's conversation your character can reply to, or something you think they'd want to say, then go ahead and post. It beats waiting around, and it might give someone else an 'in' to make a post.

Re: the IC, I will post to move us on tomorrow, most likely, as there don't seem to be any other questions forthcoming, and then we can get onto the mission - which will incidentally lead us into the true plot of the game, rather than training exercises and puttering about the Landcruiser.
If no-one else is going to post, then I'll move things on again... I'm getting a bit annoyed with this tbh - there's a few people who seem to be reliable posters, but if other people don't pick up the slack, then I'm going to ask them to leave. This is ceasing to be fun.
I keep wanting to make a post, but I feel like I haven't really got anything worthwhile to add. Also, I wasn't sure if Zenku was intending to edit his post into an in-character one, or just leave it blank.

Silverwind tilted his head as his people spoke up, one by one. All of their questions were relevant and to the point, and he addressed them one by one. Nodding to Myrina, he replied.
"The manifest from the Crawler convoy indicated they weren't carrying anything unusual: non-perishable food stuffs, farm supplies - like seeds, grains, and the like; some general supplies such as hand tools, farming equipment, and building materials, as well as other general goods. Clothing and textiles, a small amount of medical supplies" he shrugged. "I believe there's a small handful of firearms in there, but nothing honestly worth stealing for the effort it would take. However, looks like there mighta been some passengers as well".
He turned his attention to Adrian, and nodded as the rabbit spoke up. "Good question - there were three crawlers in the convoy. The cargo was split among all three, and one carried a utility GEAR for loading and unloading, but it wasn't armed or armoured. None of the crawlers carried much in the way of defensive weaponry either".
The conversation turned more tactical as Esailia spoke up, and the fox was interested to hear what the fireteam captain had to say, and listened politely and intently as she spoke before giving his answer.
"Sounds good to me," he agreed to her suggestion. "Ken can as act as overwatch and fire support, and should we need to evac any hostages or casualties, the chopper can double duty that, too".
He looked around the room, checked eyes with the others. "Any other questions, comments or queries before I move to the tactical section of the briefing?"

Eh, I considered both of those too, but the SMAW and the NLAW are both also one-shot weapons, which is why I had Scott chose the Carl Gustav. Not much point being the 'anti armour specialist' if you've only got one shot to do it with.
Also the 'Charlie G' never comes up in anything, and considering the SAS used one to put a hole in the side of a warship in the Falklands, I imagine there's a pretty healthy respect for it among Scott's colleagues. And I wanted to use one as well.
