Back on the Rails - A Multiverse RP Take 2!

Slowly, Rin's eyes began to open, and she winced as the splitting headache she had suddenly caught up to her. Pushing herself up from the ground, she tried to recall just what had happened to knock her flat on her back like that. And then she remembered...

She was just going out for a walk, really. It seemed like a nice day (well, it was far too hot for her, but still), and she may as well try and enjoy this vacation whilst she was still on it, so... Yeah, that all added up. And then... Something hit her. Something fell from the sky and smacked her right on the forehead. That was the part that didn't make any sense. It was a clear day, and she was nowhere near any buildings or trees or really anything where something could fall from and hit her like that. But there it was, lying next to her, a metal briefcase with the clasps loose.

Maybe she was just curious as to what could have hit her like that, but for some reason she found herself slowly opening the briefcase... To find something rather odd.

"...Huh. Not every day you get whacked by flying Kamen Rider merchandise..." And, well, that was what seemed to be inside the briefcase. Specifically, it was the Double Driver, and... "Not a complete set, though. Where'd the Cyclone Memory get to?"

Maybe it had fallen out and gotten lost when the briefcase fell from... Wherever it fell from. But pondering just what had happened to the green Gaia Memory would have to wait for now. Closing the case, Rin locked the clasps into place and, with her head still pounding, carried it off as she headed back towards town.

"Dunno where this came from... But as much as I want to keep it, I probably should hand it in to the police or something." Thinking aloud, she quickened her pace as the pain in her head began to fade. "They'll probably find who this belongs to, and whoever they are I hope they're ready to apologise for whacking with on the head like that!"

A Certain Academic City

• Name: Kazamatsuri Nadeshiko
• Age: 14
• Appearance: Whee. Nadeshiko is rather short.
• Personality: Incredibly shy and incredibly socially awkward, and tends to fall apart rather quickly when made the center of attention. However, the other main defining part of her personality is that she is a massive pervert. She loves cute girls, and if it weren't for her crippling lack of self-confidence and inability to properly socialize she would probably be a legendary skirtchaser. Instead, she focuses her perverted attentions on erotic anime, manga and visual novels, and peeping on the swim team when they're training. She does like less explicit media, but a lot of the time she only chooses to watch or read things because they have cute girls in them. As can be surmised from her obsession with cute girls, Nadeshiko is very, very gay. Despite her shyness, she's not exactly in the closet; it happens to be one of the few things she is very up-front about, and the first thing people tend to note about her after her shyness. One more important trait to note about Nadeshiko is her general laziness; if something doesn't interest her she's not likely to bother doing it, and since she tends to only show interest in things that involve cute girls, well... There's a lot of things that don't interest her.

• Power: Psycho Print - Nadeshiko can project images from her mind onto paper (or really any flat surface). However, due to only being level 2 said images are incomplete and she usually has to fill in some of the blanks herself. Still, it makes it much easier to produce her doujinshi at a faster rate than would normally be possible for a single girl to achieve.
• History: Nadeshiko was so named in the hope that she would live up to the Japanese ideal of womanhood, but somewhere that went wrong. Instead of a confident, reliable, elegant young woman, she quickly turned into something of a shut-in. Her grades are average at best; she usually only just passes tests, and doesn't really excel at much, especially PE. However, her passion is art. She is a wonderful artist, able to expertly draw beautiful girls, beautiful girls kissing, beautiful girls sharing intimate moments... Mostly, she draws lesbian pornography. Her stories are well written enough, although it's clear that it's there mainly to set up for the main event. As far as her social life goes, it may as well not even exist; she has few if any friends due to her social awkwardness, leading her to be almost unable to talk at length with anyone other than her parents or older brother. Other than that, her life has been pretty average; her coming out wasn't much of a big deal, and she's mostly just kept to herself and her manga, anime and games.

@Archmage MCLike I said, a One Piece thing just wouldn't feel right without them around, and they're a pretty neat powerset all things considered. Although I was actually torn between it and Robin's powers, to be honest.

Also, it meant I could use that particular epithet, which was part of the reason why I want with Gum-Gum over Flower-Flower. XD

Whee~ It took me a while to figure out what to do with her powerwise, but then I realized since this is an AU and One Piece wouldn't feel right without this specific powerset, well... May as well grab it. ^^; Also I couldn't resist that particular epithet.

• Appearance: Pretty tall; about 6'5".
• Name: Nomiki Depalma
• Gender: Female
• Nicknames/Aliases: Miki
• Epithet: The Long Arm of the Law
• Age: 25
• Bounty: N/A
• Hometown: East Blue, Rogueport.
• Marine Rank: Captain
• Role: Captain? If not then First Mate.
• Abilities & Skills: Nomiki is an exceptionally skilled unarmed combatant, which is only enhanced by her Devil Fruit powers. She's also pretty strong and atheletic, although not superhumanly so (at least by the standards of the One Piece universe; compared to our world she'd probably pretty much be Captain America really), and was a rather accomplished swimmer before she ate the Gum-Gum Fruit.
• Devil Fruit: Gum-Gum Fruit (Gomu-Gomu no Mi). Since we all know it I assume I don't really need to list the specifics of it, but I will at least note that she has not figured out the Gears yet and rarely if ever uses the balloon techniques due to having a personal distaste for them.
• Equipment: Nomiki's clothing is specially tailored to work alongside her Gum-Gum powers, ensuring that it is flexible, stretchy and does not rip whilst she is putting her powers to work.
• Personality: Nomiki is overly serious to a fault. She treats any task, no matter what, with a stern disposition and a solemn, deadpan attitude... Even tasks where acting in such a way would make her look somewhat ridiculous. Nomiki is in fact so serious-minded that she is unable to understand the concepts of sarcasm, and jokes tend to either fall flat to her or are taken completely seriously. She is utterly devoted to the law, and firmly believes herself to be acting in the name of justice by taking down criminal pirates, which to her is a rather redundant term because all pirates are criminals. Some may try and pretend they're actually good people, but this is clearly a clever ruse used to convince weaker minded people to aid them. Piracy is a crime, and all crimes must be put to the blade of justice (or in this case, the rubber fist of justice); however, she also believes that actually killing pirates should only be a last resort. After all, how can they pay for their crimes if they're dead? Gold Roger was an exception, of course; as the most infamous of all pirates, clearly he was also the most heinous criminal amongst them and death was the only fitting punishment. Despite her serious nature, Nomiki has one rather silly weakness aside from the ocean, and that is that she has a rather crippling body image problem. Specifically, she is easily embarrassed and flustered by anyone mentioning her wide hips and large bottom; she thinks it's weird and can easily be thrown off her guard if attention is drawn to it.
• Biography: Whilst it may not be her earliest memory, the first memory Nomiki made that really stuck with her was of death. Not any death, mind you, but quite possibly the most important death the oceans had ever seen, one that signalled the birth of a new era... For as a child, she was present amongst the crowds at the execution of Gold Roger. And in her eyes, this symbolized not the birth of the golden age of pirates, but a reminder of the eventual fate that awaits all pirates and their criminal brethren. Not even the famous King of the Pirates could escape the iron hand of justice, after all, and if the greatest of these lawless crooks could be made to answer to the law then so could the rest of them. This thought stuck with her as she grew up, eventually joining the Marines to enforce justice upon those who thought themselves outside the law, most notably the hated pirates. Her devotion to the cause of justice coupled with her serious, determined nature led to her quickly moving up the ranks, until one fateful day when she crossed paths with remnants of the Pirate King's old crew. Despite putting up a good fight, the marines were unable to apprehend them, but they did manage to seize some of their cargo... Amongst which was, curiously, a strange purple fruit whose skin bared a swirled pattern. Naturally, Nomiki brought this fruit to her at-the-time superior officer and questioned what to do with it, and in response he joked that she should just eat it. Before any of the assembled officers could tell her it was just a joke, however, she had already bitten into it and swallowed... And from that day forth, she was cursed with the power of the Gum-Gum Fruit, turning her body into rubber and granting her super-stretching abilities at the cost of never being able to set foot in the ocean again. She did not let this weakness deter her, though, as her career continued to progress rather steadily (somewhat faster than before, even, thanks to her newfound powers), and soon she was put at the head of her own crew.

• Other: Nomiki is gay. It's not really that important to her character, which is why it's just mentioned here rather than anywhere else, but there you go.

To be honest, even with the stuff suggested I think he'd work a lot better as a villain than a member of the crew, but that's just me I guess.

@samreaperLet's put it this way: if he somehow got onto the crew, the way he acts would mean that the first chance that she gets, Maisie would punt him into the ocean like a croquet ball.

The fact that he's ridiculously dark, edgy and unfitting for a crew of supposedly heroic pirates kind of ensures he wouldn't last long amongst a group of said heroic pirates even putting aside all other problems.

Acting like he doesn't fit the rp even though we've seen several villains like arlong and DD who were cruel and sadistic as all hell, but somehow my guy doesn't fit at all because he's not a nice guy. heh
