Hmmm, think I'm at the point where I'm whittling down the bad ideas so I can get them out of my head, since my current idea is to take an obscure character and "modernize" them. In this case, Professor Gamble, and by "modernize" I mean "base him more on Peter Capaldi's Doctor than Tom Baker's". XD But I might come up with a more sensible idea later. Hopefully. ^^;

Then again I always seem to be drawn away from A-list characters when it comes to this kind of thing for some reason. Probably because I feel like there's less pressure and lower expectations if I'm using a less well-known character. XD

I wanna be a HERO! - One Punch Man-inspired anime superheroes RP

• Name: "Yukina". Most likely not her real name, but it's the only name she could remember when she was found.
• Hero Name: Momo Kamen
• Age: ??? Roughly somewhere between 16 and 18, by the looks of it.
• Gender: Female
• Appearance: Under the mask.
• Superhero Appearance: The mask is technically the only actual part of her superhero costume. Really, she could be wearing anything else (or indeed nothing else, but she's not going to do that) as long as she has the mask on, as that is seemingly the sole source of her powers.
• Personality: Friendly, if a bit airheaded; Yukina seems to be happiest when she's with others, especially if she gets to cook for them. Her social skills are a little lacking, making her a bit awkward and tactless at times, but she tries her best to make others happy. The family who took her in after she was washed up taught her that simple acts of kindness can make the world of difference to people, and so she tries her best to help others. If asked what her goals her, she'll simply reply that she wants to see everyone smiling around her. Really, she might be a little too good for her own good. It's unknown how much of this would have been true about her before she lost her memory.
• Equipment: Aside from the clothes and glasses she was washed up with, the sole piece of equipment Yukina has is her mask. Even then, it is usually hidden away in... Yukina is not sure where, although some people theorize that when not in use the mask is stored in some pocket dimension. Whenever Yukina says the word "Espero!" the mask emerges and immediately latches onto her head, activating its powers... Usually. Sometimes it doesn't seem to work, and Yukina has started to suspect that it only lets her wear it not when she wants to, but when she needs to.
• Abilities: Whilst wearing the mask, Momo Kamen (as she has came to be known) is sheathed in a repulsing field. The most obvious effect of this is that it allows her to withstand more damage than she normally would, letting her fight monsters and villains alike with less concern for her safety than she normally would have. It also grants her a boost to her strength, allowing her to lift a motorcycle above her head with little visible strain and punch through solid concrete. Yukina is well aware that she has no idea of what the full range of powers the mask grants her actually are; for instance, recently she was surprised to discover that it allows her to jump roughly thirty feet into the air from a standing position, and she's pretty sure there are a lot more potential abilities hidden within that pink casing on her head just waiting to be discovered.
• Skills: Yukina possesses seemingly instinctual knowledge and skills with martial arts, specifically Capoeria. Aside from this, she also seems to be rather talented at filing for some reason, and she's quickly became a decent cook; the latter is something she's worked on since she lost her memory, however, and is probably not associated with her former life.
• Brief Backstory: Well... She can't remember. No, seriously. One day, a girl was found washed up on the coast, with only her clothes and glasses and no memory of who she was or how she got there. Naming her "Yukina" after the only name she seemed to remember, the elderly couple who found her took her in and looked after her for a few uneventful months... Until one day, when caught in the sights of a Rainstorm-class monster, she was surprised to find herself uttering an unknown word and summoning her mask, allowing her to handily defeat it. Realizing that this was the first real clue she'd gotten about her true identity, her adoptive family urged her to leave home and join up with SUPER, in the hopes that they would be able to help her piece together her past...

...Assassins? Well, Ranca knew that she wasn't an assassin at least... And none of the others seemed all that assassin-y to her by the looks of it. Then again, wouldn't it make sense for an assassin to not look assassin-y? It would make their job a lot easier if they didn't seem suspicious, after all. But then maybe it was some kind of double-bluff, where they looked non-assassin-y to fool people into thinking they're actually assassins when they really aren't so people don't threaten them.

...Yeah, she was thinking too much again, and risking her brain overheating, but come to think of it... She didn't really know these people at all, did she? Rewinding her memory a bit...

Bright lights. Scrrrrrrreach. Crunch.

...Okay, maybe that was a little too far back, but the first thing she remembered after that... After the weird menu thing... Was waking up surrounded by these people. Hang on, they weren't like her, were they? Right?

"...Um, hang on a moment, um..." Ranca stroked her chin as she pondered for a moment, and in her simplicity she came up with what she believed to be the most obvious thing to do. "I just realized I don't actually know who any of you are. I mean I don't think any of us are assassins, since assassins wear hoods and all... Black hoods I mean, um, not like mine! But um... But um yeah, I think we just need to cool down for a bit..."

She eyed the crazy sword lady as she said this, before turning her gaze to the others.

"...And maybe, I dunno, introduce ourselves? Like I said, name's Ranca Blom!" The hooded girl smiled gormlessly. "Pleased to meet you!"

Are there any Dungeon Masters here?

Dunno if it helps, but if I had any confidence I'd probably try DMing a 5E game, even if only to see how well I could do it. XD
