And then you wake up because sadly that can only exist in the land of dreams.

I'm really not a dog person (crippling cynophobia will do that to you) but I would protect Pombon with my life.

This felt better. Much better. None of that frilly nonsense anymore, now she was dressed properly. The weight of chainmail on her shoulders never failed to reassure Martina of just who she really was. To the other races, dwarfs could be many things; they could be miners, they could be brewers, they could even be merchants. But every dwarf knew these were only secondary designations. Every dwarf knew there was only one thing they truly were at heart.

Dwarfs were warriors, tough and rugged to the very last. At least, that's how Martina saw it, but then she always had an overly-idealized view of what was considered "dwarfen". Being only half-dwarf, she sometimes tried a little too hard to express this view. To her, when faced with an enemy, a true dwarf wouldn't bother with such concepts as subtlety; subtlety was an elven concept, after all, and any true dwarf would just casually toss the idea aside as they charged into the fray, screaming a battlecry at the top of their lungs.

So it was probably a good thing for everyone else's sake that Marianne had swiftly taken care of the guard before she could even tighten the grip on her hammer.

"Hmph, if you ask me we should just charge right in and give that wazzock of a warlock a good hammering," she grumbled, before sighing as reason washed upon her. Sometimes, it payed to have a human side to temper her dwarfen nature. "...And I would've done it too, if they weren't holding that Nem hostage like the filthy cowards they are. Bloody wizards, can't trust the bastards at all." She spat contentiously, even as she readied herself the order to move out.
@harinezumikoukenIf it means anything, I had just woken up and it was only 5am. ^^;
...I should wait a bit until someone else deals with the guard, since if I post for Martina now she'll... Well, let's just say we won't stay unnoticed for long. XD

EDIT: I have been assured that this has already happened. What is reading comprehension anyways?
"Oh, um..." It took a moment for Jolokia to snap back to attention. It was just... So pretty... She could hardly tear her eyes from the glittering crystals. "Um, right! Gotta save those kids and get back before the lunch rush!"

The gormless smile return to her face as she made her way across the bridge, although she had to stop every so often to let Arufi catch up. Not only was the Nem being far more cautious than her, but even Jolokia, standing at a grand height of five foot two, had much longer legs than the childlike Nem. Eventually, they reached the entrance to the elven citadel, their trek strangely unchallenged even as Jolokia blithely step inside.

"Huh, I guess the elves were really going for a theme here!" she chirped out, whistling in admiration of the interior decorating. The walls of the cavernous entrance hall seemed to be covered in bubble-like crystals, each glowing ever so slightly in its own unique hue whilst... Something shadowy moved inside them, although at this distance it was hard to make out just what it was. The ground was, naturally, made of immaculately polished stone, and at the center of the enormous room stood a gigantic staircase, wide enough for three kittycattle bulls to comfortably walk side by side with room to spare.

What was most strange about it, though, was that for the lair of a supposed necromancer it was so... Clean. There was no sign of any decay, and not a speck of dust marred the flawless crystal construction. And the smell... Rather than the scent of stale blood and rotting flesh, it smelled... Almost pleasant. A little like lavender, even.
@ThemerlinhawkIt probably changes, yes, but that one point is kind of a constant amongst all denominations.

Um sorry if it seems like I'm speaking for Vita right now but this whole thing kind of has her shaken up at the moment and um... Yeah.
@ThemerlinhawkThat's, uh... See it's a central part of Mayonite and Reonite dogma. They're lovers, that's something that's been a part of the setting since pretty much its conception. It's not likely to change at all, so yeah.
Welp, angry right now I guess, so here's a silly gif in lieu of me actually responding.
@ghastlyIncReon and Mayon, the two main goddesses everyone in the RP worships, are specifically a lesbian couple, so there's that at least. With that in mind and knowing Vita, I'm pretty sure it's a lot more acceptable than it was in actual medieval Europe.
@ghastlyIncWell everyone knows that in any fictional work "straight" actually means "closeted bisexual". Or at least that is what the internet has taught me and why would someone lie on the internet? :D
<Snipped quote by Rin>

Nah. They still have each other. And thats what really counts.

Two hot boys who... Who have each other~?
