Current I mean, some people want to do it for the reason it’s supposed to be for, but it being all but outright mandatory, well.

@Ricky: I never thought about it like that, but it really can be, huh? I checked out the Mormons for a stint, and I can 100% see that being a reason behind them pushing that.

Tricks them into thinking it was their choice, when it was structured for them to fail.

The Amish doing that strikes me as a psychological way to keep people there. Isolate them > send them out > get culture shock > return to the comfortable rather than figure out a foreign culture.

Ashifa: Shoving/forcing the religion on someone isn't what Christianity should be about. I'm sorry if/that that's what's going on for you.

“You don’t…” Faira’s brow furrowed, then she quickly pulled her hand from Conna’Cel as he finished speaking. Is he actually a robot? Before she could ponder the possibility further, her attention turned toward the sound of crying. What now? she groaned inwardly, glancing to Conna’Cel as he stepped toward the young girl who seemed to have simply appeared in the hallway ahead of them. As the child turned and ran toward them, Faira took a couple steps back, though whether from whatever had frightened the girl or the girl herself, Faira could not say for certain. Regardless, she instinctively tried to catch the girl before she fell, but missed. Faira took in the girl’s disheveled appearance before her eyes locked with the child’s. “What—” Before she could finish, the child hurried to her feet. Faira inhaled and stumbled back slightly as the young girl begged for help and clung to her leg, Faira’s free foot moving behind her to steady herself and arms awkwardly spread apart. “I-It’ll be okay,” she stuttered, hesitantly placing a hand on the child’s shoulder as she continued quickly, just as wary of the girl as of the hall. “What’s wrong? Who’re you running from?”
I would possibly be interested in the "Haunted House" plot.
... Let's hope not, shall we? Maybe just eaten whole by a giant man-eating plant or something, and working on escaping from its insides.
We're on this as of now, I know this aspect of the Rp is infuriating...
On what now? To which aspect are you referring, the constant obstacles?
Because we have had to wait so long between obstacles in game-time. XD Just waiting for your response. :-)
Faira’s eyes widened slightly as Rosaline threatened Scarlet. Movement caught her attention as Conna’Cel began to wander on his own once more. Glancing between the other two women, she bit her lip. Taking a deep breath to try and calm her nerves, she went after him. “We should probably stay together,” she said softly, reaching to grip his armored wrist. “I mean, the last person who tried to wander off alone…” She shuddered at the thought of the boy killed by the fauns. “I don’t think I could deal with someone else dying,” she finished shakily, her voice scarcely audible.
Zaylin grinned at the short-haired girl’s salute, carefully returning it around the poles in her arms. She blinked, confused, as the girl seemed to simply disappear into the woods around her. “Well,” Zaylin looked to the remaining girl. “Maybe I’ll see you around campus.” She offered a smile in farewell. “Have a good night!” Gripping her staves tightly, she headed toward the path at a leisurely jog. Once out of sight of the lake, she picked up speed, her pace well beyond the capabilities of a human as she channeled the extra energy the night gave her into her run. The itch to transform crept across her skin at the air rushing past her, arousing the desire to take to the sky, to feel the freshness of the wind higher up. Not right now, she told herself, her speed slowing to a normal pace as she neared the end of the path. Emerging into the yard not far from Wells Hall were students hurried back to their dorms before night fell, she turned around and started walking backwards. She cast her gaze over the sky above the trees as the fingers of the night stretched across the heavens, tendrils of oranges, reds, and blues creating a glorious scene above. A beautiful way to bring in the night, she thought. With her gaze lingering on the sky, she turned back around and headed to the hall. Reaching her dorm, she quickly put the staffs in the closet, hiding them as well as she could near the back, and made sure she had everything she would need for the following day safely tucked away in her messenger bag. Tossing it onto the other, unclaimed bed, she changed into her black pajamas, grabbed the book her grandmother had sent her, and plopped down on her bed, intending to read until they called lights out.
This died down like overnight. How crazy is that?
Meh. If it does, it does. Things happen that are out of our control. Glad you found the time to post, though!
Yep, yep! ^.^
