I wanted to find out how to communicate to wild Buns that I am their ally but it's a bit late because there's only one around our house now ;_;

Hey, is this still open? I want in on this
Ruby's extraction squad - Entrance strategy, part 2

"HRGHK!" A guard said as the last traces of consciousness left him and he went limp in Alto's hold.

He flet kind of bad, but he needed to uniform, and he was sort of his size. A few minutes later and he was an Underground Movement guard, and the unconscious body of the guy that he owed the title was handcuffed to a stall in the women's bathroom.

"Lucky this guy had gloves." He said, looking down at his hands. "Would've been troublesome without them."

It had been troublesome already, as the Underground movement had very few standard guards. He knew most of the guards were monsters changed by Isabella, the only relatively 'normal' ones being ones whose powers worked best in their normal forms. He snuck a look around the corner, and oddly enough saw no one in the hallway.

Maybe Isabella's having a speech somewhere. He thought.

He shrugged and walked out of his hiding spot at a measured pace, in a way that said he was meant to be there. As he passed a few hallways, it was clear that there really wasn't anyone there. Some doors were flung open as if people had gotten out in a hurry, but that was just about it. He pulled one of his maps out of his pocket since there was no one else there.

Ah. He thought, I didn't mark Ruby's room.

He'd been given the data for where Ruby's room was, but he hadn't marked it on his map. He sort of had to drop a message to her, about their exit strategy anyways.

Well, I could really drop it anywhere. He thought, I did program that beacon thing somehow.

He pulled a hard drive out of his pocket, mostly standard looking. He'd made some modifications to drop a message off to Ruby. He wasn't sure how it worked, but when he turned it on it would broodcast a beacon that could only be sense by technopaths. If anyone else looked at it, there would be nothing in it. But if Ruby took a look at it, she'd find a text document about their exit strategy.

He'd used his power to write out the programming, and it had taken a lot of lines of code.

Guess I'll just drop it here. He thought, Hope no one notices.

He carefully placed the hard drive in a corner and turned to regard his options once again.

One more thing to do. He thought.

A few minutes later...

"What the hell?" He said aloud. He was in the Underground Movement surveillance room, wiping all traces of his entry and presence from the cameras. He was also watching an outside shot of the New Sun Corporation and the retreating figure of Elijah Craigh followed by a portion of Isabella's army. "This might be troublesome."

He pulled his phone out and sent a text to Damien and Sefia that read:

Be ready for the thing at any time. Stuff's going down and we might have to raid early.
-Alto

With that done, all he had to do was make his escape, probably.
--

More minutes later.

Sal perked up as Alto came through his makeshift door and slid it back into place.

"You're back!" She said as she tackled him, burying her face into his stomach.

"Why do you always act like you haven't seen me in days?" He asked.

"Because it always feels like I haven't seen you in days." She said, looking up at him.

He was a little surprised by that.

"Right, well, we should probably be heading back now." He said. She nodded in agreement and the two started to set off back the way they came, Sal still holding on to his arm.

Maybe I should drop a line to Cedric. He thought as they walked, I'm kinda worried about what he might do.

I don't know how much use it would get, but I would suggest having a waiting list tag for applications
"Well now," Nuul said as Dontores looked through the menu, "Isn't this interesting?"

Nuul pulled his left arm backwards, trying to pull him towards the commotion.

"I'll just have number 13 please." Dontores said to the cashier as he was dragged away. With his right hand he rifled through his pocket, searching for some money. He threw some coins at the cashier as he was dragged in front of a Gigan of some description holding up the guy that had been on the ground just a second ago. Nuul flipped open, his voice spilling out from the pages.

"Why do you persist in your pursuit of the law?" He asked the unfortunate officer, "Look at yourself! You're a joke! Can you still pretend to be an enforcer in a place like this?"
There are so many characters in this game that are way beyond Nate's power level. It's almost enough to make a guy feel inadequate...Almost.

Well, however strong we are isn't all that relevant.

Almost none of us would be able to deal with getting shot unawares, (except for light) as demonstrated by Olivia getting shot.

But none of us are going to die unless we want our characters to die so however strong you are, it hardly really matters.
Actually, I'm kind of curious.

What does the cafe actually sell in terms of food?
As he sailed through the air, Dontores had plenty of time to reflect on his decisions. He had the time to, but he didn't. He had more time as Nuul floated after Dontores and charged a blast of pure darkness to launch at him, but again he didn't. He was given more time when he had almost reached the street and the orb of darkness detonated and sent him flying backwards before he hit the ground. He sailed through a window of some description, glass shattering from the impact. Momentum carried him forward as his head collided with some unfortunate person's body and knocked them to the ground.

How bothersome. He thought.

Time came back to normal speed as he fell to the ground and the Grimoire floated slowly through the window.

"Have you learnt your lesson yet, my der boy?" He said.

"No." He replied, not bothering to get up.

"I didn't expect so." Nuul said smugly, "But I suppose you will learn in time."

The Grimoire floated to Dontores' body and floated into his open left hand, suddenly clutching it as he settled into place. His left arm rose of his own volition and he was slowly pulled upright by the left side of his body.

So annoying. Dontores thought.

He looked at his surroundings, noticing he was actually in a cafe of some description.

Oh, this is nice, He thought, I was getting hungry.

He walked over the prone body of the person he had knocked over, noticing she was rather short, among other unusual things. He looked over to the right, and saw a person in uniform also on the ground. Perhaps they had been brawling? It didn't matter so much. He walked over to the counter, a shocked cashier at the register.

"I want something cheap and filling." Dontores said, "What would you recommend?"
Ruby's extraction squad - Entrance Strategy, part 1

"Yuck!" Sal said, looking over the edge of the railing, "This sewer is gross!"

The water was a rather horrid shade of brown, suspicious lumps sometimes bobbing to the surface.

"What did you expect?" Alto said as he inspected the maps in his hands, "It's a sewer."

"Why did I follow you here anyway?" she grumbled, covering her nose with her scarf.

"I told Theo and Con to stay behind and look after you, but you said you wanted to see me," Alto said, "And I said I was going into a sewer, but you followed me anyway."

"Yeah, I know..." She moved closer towards Alto, probably to move away from the source of the smell. Alto studied his map some more. He'd printed off some stuff about the compound, and they were currently in a sewer system relatively close to the underground movement's base of operations. He hadn't really known that the Underground part in the name was literal, usually that kind of thing just meant 'secret' but in a really roundabout way.

"If I'm right, then this will do." He folded his maps and put them into one of his pockets, then he put his right hand to the ground and his left arm forward, and started queuing up some commands. This was a technique he had learnt recently, queuing up commands for his arms to utilize at a moments notice. He was going to need it for this.

Closing his eyes, he envisioned what he needed. He saw the wall in his mind, and the dirt behind it, and zoomed out until he could see the another wall on the other side. He imagined a laser carving a hole all the way from him until it touched the other wall, disintegrating everything between it, and he imagined black steel veins following its path of destruction, building supports behind it.

He felt his right arm and his left arm react according to his will. He opened his eyes and let loose.

A giant burst of blue energy erupted from his palm, almost going straight through the wall in front of him. Black veins raced ahead from his right hand as the blue laser dissipated. When the dust had cleared, he had a perfectly circular stable tunnel. He walked towards one of the black steel supports, tapping it a few times and punching it for good measure. It held pretty well the tunnel probably wasn't at risk of collapsing. Although, if someone found the tunnel, it was probably going to get blocked up or something.

This isn't really legal after all. Alto thought, Then again, we are Illegal Stuff Pty. Ltd.

He continued walking down his newly created tunnel, Sal following behind him. He reached the end and found himself at a solid steel wall.

"Alright, I'm pretty sure this is our entrance strategy." Alto said.

"Is this...?" Sal said hesitantly,

"Yeah." Alto said, "This should lead to the hallways in one of the bathrooms."

"Why would you want to go to the bathrooms?" Sal asked,

"It's the closest thing to the sewer." He said, as he started some work on the wall. "You'd better get back in a sec, I'm cutting out the wall."

He raised a finger on his left hand and activated a precision laser. He'd tested it many times before and it was able to seamlessly cut objects. Hopefully he was going to be able to cut the wall out and replace it after he went in, and no one would notice.

"I'm going in," He said as he finished, "Stay behind, text Damien and Sefia if I don't come back."

"...Alright." He sat down on the wall, watching as Alto carefully eased out a large section of wall and entered the facility.
