I just remembered that I once read a creepypasta about slenderman killing Hitler and it was actually pretty good. Grammar-wise and stuff I mean, but it was about still slenderman killing hitler :|

I wanted to find out how to communicate to wild Buns that I am their ally but it's a bit late because there's only one around our house now ;_;

How are you two doing? We're waiting on you for the messengers
Ambush! Roll for initiative!

The sun was warm, and the breeze was cool. An ideal day for walking and probably his favorite kind of weather. He didn't know if it really was but he was enjoying it, that was certain enough. He didn't talk much as they travelled. He didn't take the letter and he knew he wouldn't be able to do much to defend it so he stayed quiet and took in the surroundings.

Yar seemed like a very nice place. He felt like he could just breathe in the atmosphere forever, it felt like a good place. He felt like he wouldn't mind living in this world even if what he left behind was something he'd never know. He wondered if any of his other party members wanted their old life back but he sort of doubted it. They seemed just as happy as he was after all.

Hmmm, the quest window said there would be enemies... He thought. I wonder where they are?

As soon as he thought that, there was a loud(I'm assuming) explosion right in front of them. He fell backwards, partially due to his light weight but mostly due to his surprise. The explosion didn't actually have that much power in it, but his reactions weren't great. He quickly scrambled to his feet as smoke filled the road.

"Be careful everyone!" He shouted.

The smoke was filled with the sounds of shouts and screams as the citizens of Yar who had been going around their daily lives fled the scene. He could still see the rest of the party, he'd been staying close to Ranca because he felt safest next to her.

"W-we need to stick together!" He said.

A new challenger appears!

Eri turned as a new voice entered the fray.

"Uh..." He started.

He gave the new person a quick once-over. The first thing he noticed was that she sort of really stood out. Clearly her clothes weren't from around there, even if what she said didn't give her away already. He couldn't help but think that she might get cold easily but he wasn't sure if that was ever going to be a problem for any of them. Maybe the place they were in didn't have winter, maybe being cold was unheard of.

Still, the new person's question was still to be answered so he put his other ones aside.

"We're kind of new around here as well so maybe it does happen often." He said. "Are you here for the messenger quest as well?"

Eri has a friend now, but what happens next?

"O...kay...?" He said.

A lot of things had happened just now and he wasn't really sure what to do again. The situation seemed to have been taken care of... sort of anyway so there wasn't really anything else he could do. It felt like it wouldn't have made a difference whether he was there or not which kind of made him feel... weary. But since he was here, he may as well do something.

"Are you... alright?" He asked Ranca.

Time for Eri to be a hero now, and maybe the Dunk Lord too

Eri's stomach churned as he looked over his options yet again. It was the quest window again, and from past experience it had only brought him strife. He'd entered Yar and the quest window had appeared, and he'd spent a while mulling over what to do.

Which one do I choose... He thought.

He'd had bad experiences with medium quests, so maybe he should go for the easy dungeon quest... But he'd leveled up now so maybe medium quests would be easier? Unless it was the kind of system were difficulty actually changed with level and it would've been hard before... He felt like crying again. Between the time he'd died and the time now, he'd only gotten a gold-trim basketball and that wasn't exactly reassuring. He didn't know what his class did or if leveling up had even done anything for him... Maybe he could just not take a quest and live his new life in peaceful bliss...

But some part of him didn't want that. He didn't know why but he wanted to do a quest. He wanted to see all there was to see in the world, the New World, and maybe one day stand high above it, seeing how far he'd come...

"Ah, maybe I should find a friend..." He said.

That made sense to him. If he wasn't able to do much alone, maybe he should have someone else. Perhaps he'd been lonely once when he couldn't remember, but as soon as he thought about having a friend he knew he couldn't do without one. But well, who was going to be his friend? Two of their party were already together and he felt like he might be intruding on something if he joined them. It looked like it wouldn't matter to Mimori whether she had friends or not... Which meant that left only Ranca.

Even though she looked fine on her own Eri felt like she should have people around her. Maybe if he joined her it could start something. He walked behind her and tugged hesitantly on her shirt(jacket... thing?)

"E-E-Excuse me!" He squeaked out. "C-Can I come with you? Please?"

I'm going to go post something for the messenger job soon, I'll start us off or something
Eri would probably also do the messenger quest because he still doesn't know what he does and it wouldn't sound that bad
Eri is a hero now, but what about the Dunk Lord?

Finally, the star was in position. The timing was not as well as it would've liked, but it would do. It began its descent even though it wasn't even night. Impact was imminent, nothing would get in the way now...

Eri burst out of the trees, tripped on a root and went flying. He landed on the road flat on his face.

"Hngggg..." When was he going to get a break? It seemed like within a few minutes of him doing something, something would go wrong again.

He struggled onto his feet, teary eyed. He was really tired and he just wanted to be somewhere safe right now. But as it turned out, fate wasn't letting him go yet. The star broke through the clouds, a streak of gold and red across the sky. It angled itself downwards towards Eri, but Eri had his back turned. He wasn't going to see this coming.

It hit him square in the back, sending him flying like a ragdoll. It bounced off his back, smashing into and rebounding off of a tree behind him, flew up and hit a low flying eagle before acring back downwards and dropping on his head just as he hit the ground again. Tears started streaming down his face as the ball rolled to a stop close by to him.

"Why.........?" He said.
Eri and the Dunk Lord - ??? minutes to impact

"Wha-?" He said, "Where am I now?"

A quick look around him told him that he was in a forest. That didn't really help at all because he was pretty sure wherever he was he'd never been there, and on reflection having a look around wouldn't have helped anyway because he still only had about 8 minutes worth of memories now.

"At least this time it looks like they're not letting me off so easily..." He said with a sigh.

He wasn't quite sure what had happened there but apparently he'd died again. He didn't know where the other person who had jumped in immediately had gone or the other people there who were also crushed immediately. But at the very least, he felt like there was something that wanted them alive for the time being.

"Hmmm?" He said, his ears perking up.

He could hear some voices from somewhere else in the forest.

"Maybe I should go to them..." He said.

Meanwhile, the shooting star recalibrated and shot in a different direction. Circumstances called for a change of plans, but fortunately its altitude allowed for some adjustment. Even if it were too low there would be an intervention, and even if it hit the ground without finding its target, there would be a way for it to end up in their hands. This meeting had been in planning for a very long time now, there was no way it would fail.
@RoflsMazoy Want me to flip a coin for you? :D
