Initially, Vilivyn was considering Siren out to meet Alba's spirits, but ... Lupa was acting strangely. Almost immediately, the demoness summoned her spirit to enhance her wings, preparing herself for something bad. Those slithering noises didn't exactly sound ... nice. The poor Lupa thought she was meeting new friends, but it sounded far more like some sort of serpent.

Then Faera swung at something that she didn't see. What was going on? "Guys! To the right!" Wait, this could be an ambush. After giving the fox spirit-kin a quick squeeze of the hand, she released Alba's before giving her an order. "Alba, make sure no one sneaks up on us! Those ears of yours can hear nicely, right? Is anything else coming?"

Of course, she hadn't seen anything herself at all. Despite being a demoness, her night vision was just a hair above average. The moment she spotted ... whatever this was that they were fighting though, she'd be sure to cast a hex on them.

Although maybe a fight wasn't necessary? "Spirits of the cavern, we mean no harm! Let us through unhindered, nooneneeds to get hurt!"
So one of my characters chivalricly sexually harasses the only girl who could probably give him a decent fight and the other is a well-intentioned airhead.

"Well, if there were only one nation, there couldn't very well be animosities between them, could there? But in more seriousness, weddings and common enemies would probably be the best chances at peace. And it's the common enemy angle I would push. Unless you want to run off to Hiertania and marry one of their dull-haired princes."

The second princess listened carefully as the jovial man replied to her question, smiling as he did so ... it was rather obvious the ambassador had meant what he said as a joke, but ... was he wrong?

Faylinn of course had toyed with such thoughts periodically, but instantly discarded them after a few brief thoughts. Those meat eaters were violent, hateful people who prided themselves in their power to push others down. But even hearing the man across from her joke about the possibility led it some credence ...

... and surely they couldn't all be bad? The Princess' eyes had drifted upwards to the tops of the tallest of trees as she wondered about not every one of them could be awful, even the royalty. Sure, many of them had dark hair, ate other beings, and thought of her people as hardly being human, but ... weren't these the same people who had the ideals of chivalry in their blood, and sometimes even a certain sense of justice?

And what if those princes on believed her people to be inhuman because they had never even met one of her kind? As a princess, hopefully her status would grant her sufficient ability to remain in their courts for a period of time. And what if the king or a high-strung prince became her friend or even fell for her? Wouldn't they respect her people then, and consider them allies?

The sixteen year old hadn't even noticed the approach of the other woman, and as her eyes returned to the courtyard she seemed surprised at the ladies presence. "Oh um ... hi Sky?" For a second, the princess shook her head to collect herself. She shouldn't make her thoughts so obvious. "So ... what did mom say? Do we have a plan for these recent events?"

The older man hardly took notice as the sounds of marching signaled the second prince's personal servant brining in breakfast in nigh military fashion, or the sounds of the first prince's hellions being scolded for being so childish. Castle life had always changed in his time, but it always remained the same as well with the characters around him only changing in name and appearance.

But damn wasn't the appearance of this maid serving him breakfast rather fine. Striking hair that flowed in long strands, a near regal facial structure as if she was the queen of all servants, and an ample bossom suggesting maturity as a woman. Adelbrand was far too old to have his thoughts become obvious, but this lady here would be fine to talk to!

With surprising speed, the sixty-something year old man consumed his breakfast with a fervor and enthusiasm rare within him. Soon enough, he had stood up, wiped the crumbs from his beard, and after a little travel around the castle before stumbling upon the beauty grabbing a small sword and swinging it in the most horrid, terrible, clumsy fashion possible.

In spite of that, the man thought he spotted some rare talent as the muscles in her back moved in an ... interesting manner. After delivering a quick bow to the second prince, he approached the black haired woman. Walking up behind her, he gently took the sword from her hands, placing Sterklinge into her palms as the target was in front of her. "Personally, I couldn't ever wield one of those twigs. Always snapped too easily." The other sword soon found itself placed into the weapon racks.

Once he returned to being behind her though, the man placed his hands on her soft hips and forced the maid into a position somewhat resembling a proper stance. "Back in my day, the ladies never fought. But if you are defending yourself, do it right." Pushing down slightly on her shoulders, he made a few minor adjustments to ensure that her knees were bent, feet positioned properly, and body ready to spring out with an attack. "Now sweetheart, put your body weight into it. Think of the target as a dirty brigand on the road."

Caitriona followed the other woman around as she crafted various fibers into a sort of primitive rope then formed the world's worst axe from a few spare rocks on the fiber. Caitriona of course at some spare greenish grape like fruit from her bag, watching with great amusement as the other woman spent a good amount of time trying to chop the tree down. Luckily, it had been angled in such a way to ensure it would fall away from her, but the native had been prepared to leap away at the first sign of trouble, so the woman remained sitting as she simply watched the thing fall over.

Looking at the sweating woman though, Caitrona stood up and removed the flask from her satchel, handing it over to the other girl with a smile. It was rather obvious the other woman had become completely irritated from their previous interaction, so the orange haired girl had decided to play it nice for a little bit. In addition, the other woman would find the circular piece of cloth meant for climbing trees in the cave for when she needed it.

"Cad é seo do?" The shorter woman pointed to the fallen tree, raising a curious eyebrow at Charlotte.

The magierprinz's eyes drifted over the other two as they toppled onto the floor. For a few moments Swen was concerned about the annoying money-waster until the puppy started mumbling something about steak. Soon enough, the bunny girl had opened the door, talking about her fears from the past. "Don't worry, if this puppy acts up here I'll take care of her. She's not my familiar but ..." The man looked down at the fire puppy's sleeping body and shrugged. He was responsible in her for a way, wasn't he?

The ever glorious position of being Meal-Ticket.

"Alright, thank you very much!" And with that, the magierprinz entered into the restricted section to start his research on the foe he would soon be facing.

Hopefully Lyssa wouldn't be too upset when she woke up all alone.

The kitten was suddenly brought out of her sadness as a strange object crashed in down in front of her, eyes widening in slight fear as she shuffled backwards a couple feet. Soon though, Maoin returned to her thoughts as it was quickly established that this was not a threat.

"Oooh...not one of my better landings..."

The stray's dark eyes looked upwards once more, immediately recognizing Lady Sorcha from the previous day. The cat tried to collect herself from the recent emotional trauma, but even then a few more tears, sobs, and moments of shaking passed by.

"Moain?...whatever are you crying for?"

The kitten wiped her eyes off using her arm again, although they watered back up rather quickly. The cat debated for a few moments if she should simply tell her teacher the entire story, or if the powerful woman would care about the woes of someone so weak. Surely the powerful being in front of her would simply laugh at the woes of a pointless, weak, insignificant stray like her.

But then again, she had cared when she panicked over the water. And didn't she help her overcome that? Maybe ... maybe she could help with ... this whole thing?

A small voice lacking confidence replied after a few moments, as if uncertain how much she should share. Her knees curled up closer to her chest, as if trying to contain herself. "... It's ... it's pointless ..."

The voice rose slightly as the girl realized the dragon would demand more explanation. "... I ... I took her out last night ... and ... I told her I love her. I'm an idiot, I know ..." Her eyes glanced to the side, her voice starting to speak a hair faster as a few tears streaked down her face. "... then we talk ... she leaves, and ... and I panic ... I ..." She raised her left arm up, revealing the bandages. The teenager missed some words as she rapidly thought through the events.

"She came back, said wouldn't leave ... petted me until ..." Tears flowed freely now, as the moment got closer and closer. Her thoughts become gradually less coherent as she tried to keep herself together. "... morning. Bottles, a note ... and then ... it broke ..." The girl buried herself into her knees, sobbing more as the world seemed to shake around her.

Whatever had been holding her together until this point burst, Maoin screaming without realizing it. Her eyes looked at Sorcha filled with emotion. "SHE LEFT WITHOUT EVEN SAYING GOODBYE!"

"The headmistress was there ... and I asked for help. She told me the truth ..." Her eyes looked back towards the ground, her body losing the animation that pointed out it was alive. It seemed as if she was rehearsing some words from memory. "... I'm a pathetic, sorry excuse for a familiar. All I can do is nag, annoy ... she should have dumped me sooner. I just would have gotten in the way. That she didn't have time for a stray." It was rather obvious that the word had a lot of meaning to her.

"That night ... she told me not to try and be something I'm not ... that I should stick to makeup, being cute, and just being a servant ..." Her body shook in frustration, then she stilled as her eyes drifted up towards Sorcha, life seeming to fill them once more. "... but ... BUT I don't want to be ME if all I'm worth is being ABANDONED!" The kitten was reduced to tears as emotion filled her, only managing to whisper a few final words as she curled up once more. "... you were right yesterday. I am just a stray."

Fia watched as the woman in front of her pulled something unholy out of the doll. Sometimes the headmistress magic seemed to feel strange, but this sort of manipulation was on an entirely different level.

Of course, the woman's explanation was logical. But for some unspeakable reason, the phoenix felt bothered to the core. As if this was breaking down the fundamental laws of the universe that kept life in some sort of motion.

To the woman in front of her, it would seem that the crimson haired girl was filled with a sort of terror as she suddenly sprinted out the front door, going after Livia.
@cloudystar One second, Vili can hear what Lupa is saying, right?

Cait followed the other woman back as she played her flute, watching her observe things such as the trees and the local environment, along with taking a quick survey of the cave.

The native had no idea what she was thinking, so she simply watched as she guessed what the other woman was doing. Looking for more food? Trying to figure out to place more of those strange contraptions she had placed down earlier? The linen dress blew slightly in the wind as she watched, feeling more an more curious about exactly what was going to happen.

Of course, if Charlotte needed help walking around or seemed like she was about to make a massive blunder, she'd help out. It was simply too amusing to stop seeing what was going on here.

The magierprinz's eyes went wide as he saw the small bunny deliver a rather ferocious kick to the dog. Sure, they were small and adorable. But damn did they have strong legs. "Alright, break it up you two." This time Swen pointed his wand between them, firing out his wind cantrip to hopefully knock them apart, angling it to make sure neither of them flew into a bookshelf. Looking over at Eith, he looked down at her shins to make sure everything was alright.

Not that he had any healing magic or anything, rather to ensure the school's resident white mage didn't need a call.

Hadn't this very same woman a few minutes ago told her to go after her mistress? The kitten's ears fell gradually as the headmistress let out a string of insults towards her.

The woman walking away from her was confusing at a minimum. But the kitten had a final word for her, jogging up to her before she looked at the taller woman with watering eyes. "... she'd die for me ... that's obvious." The kitten spoke her next words with frustration though. "... but I'd do the same for her too! If she gets hurt while I'm not there ..." A few quick words left her lips as she tried to keep pace. "... and I don't know what she had planned for me, she probably hoped I'd love some new master and would pamper them and everything ... but she's wrong! Alright!?" The kitten looked up at the taller woman, tears falling out of her eyes, hoping against hope that she'd budge and offer some sort of aid. It almost seemed like as if the girl was trying to convince herself.

If Livia didn't say anything, the cat would soon disappear.

The kitten's path took her around the school grounds, eyes instinctively darting around various nooks and crannies hoping somehow that her lady would be there, jumping out and giving her a big hug, telling her this was some sort of test of her faith and loyalty.

Of course, it didn't happen. The girl tried to hold in her tears as she walked around for a while, hearing a nearby clock chime several times as an hour passed. The three duffel bags weighed more than she expected as she finally arrived at the lake, sitting down. Out of all the things the headmistress said though, a singular word echoed most in her mind.

Stray.

That's what she was now, wasn't it? A familiar too weak to defend themselves. A sorry and pathetic excuse of a servant. Maybe she'd told Livia that she wouldn't be happy with anyone else ... but that was only a sign of her reliance, wasn't it? Someone so emotionally attached that they refused to improve on their own?

And besides, what sort of idiot would accept her anyways? She had no skills outside of some minor natural senses and making things look pretty ... there was plenty of stories like her own: adorable, young, defenseless, and cute familiars abandoned or kicked out when they became too annoying, useless, or the owner simply got tired of them. Maoin had always ignored them, but there were several of the sad stories around as she went to class wasting away in some nearby ally.

Of course, the kitten had always believed herself above them. But ultimately, she'd been abandoned without even a 'goodbye'. And now here she was. A stray.

She sat down onto the beach, looking out at the lake and remembering the fun they'd had when it had been frozen over, the snowballs, skating, and cookies afterwards. But ... it wasn't meant to be, was it? The kitten pulled on her own ears out of frustration, and she wasn't even sure with who.

And despite her best attempt, she pulled her knees to her chest and started crying, shaking softly as she blamed herself, blamed her lady, blamed the headmistress, and then denying any of this had ever happened, that this was all somehow a really bad dream and she was in a coma or knocked out or ...

Just a worthless stray.

As Kathrine called the doll a slave, the phoenix looked up at her with a slight look of fear, and immediately placed the thing away from her. "... I ... I have a vase ... for that ..."

What if there was people trapped in those things, forever bound to serve or be tortured? Fia knew what that was like, and reminders of the past were horrifying. And besides, if that was the case their will would be so far broken that they couldn't be trusted as anything but an extension of the woman in front of her.

"... let ... let them go ..." Perhaps it was a moment of bravery, but she was in Livia's house. The woman was likely somehow present, watching over this.
@AAB poor faylinn left alone :( XD

The magierprinz watched as the bunny fell for his plans, the hellhound still holding the rabbit tightly in her arms. "Yes Eith, she is cute. But could you please let her go so I could get into the library?" The mage put a small amount of effort into prying the puppy off of the librarian, putting a small amount of force in to ensure the hellhound got the message. Hopefully it wouldn't make her mad, but it was worth knowledge that could possibly save his life.

The kitten paused only to hear Livia's response, then frowned as the headmistress left through the front door. Maoin hesitated for a moment, then opened the door as she chased after the taller woman. It took a few moments, but she carefully constructed the arguments into her head before she started speaking.

"I'd converse with her ... perhaps she left me ..." The kitten looked down, faltering as she spoke. It was hard to admit that, the words causing a pain in her stomach as if she was slightly sick. But she continued anyways, pressing onwards. "... but if I'm not hers, then I'm free to do what I want! I've made my decision." Maoin seemed extremely steadfast, then started working on the second point.

"And I CAN fight. I'll have you know I fought a grand dragon and lived!" Perhaps that was a bit of a ... misrepresentation of the events that had occurred, but she wasn't about to stop here as she moved alongside the older woman. Her next words seemed more stern and serious, the teenager placing her unwavering will into them. "I'm stealthy, quick, and well balanced. I can pick locks as well, which I know she can't do. I can see in the dark as well, and have hearing far beyond hers. So I'd be an incredibly useful asset, and not having me along only increases the chances of her demise AND the chance of a failure. Unless that's what you want."

This time, the girl stood picked up her walking speed, trying to keep up with the headmistress. "I'm clever enough to know I at least need a starting point. Look, I don't know what you want out of all this, what the objective is. I promise I won't get in the way of that ... and I'll promise you a favor in the future. Anything you want, so long as I can do it and it doesn't hurt Lady Gwynn." Maoin finished speaking quickly, taking a few breaths to give the headmistress a chance to interject.

The phoenix lifted the doll up into a hug, feeling extremely strange about being the bigger party. Was this how Livia felt when she hugged? After a bit though, the girl headed back downstairs with the doll, looking around for the headmistress' friend. If she was there, the nervous girl would walk towards her.

"... here ... found ... your ..." The doll was lifted into her hands, ready to be handed off to the older woman.
