Name: Jonathon Summer Age: 17 Appearance: Standing at 5-foot-11, with jet-black hair that sits messily atop his head, Jon's attire tends to consist of a horizontally-striped red and white shirt with dark blue trousers, and brown shoes. Depending on whether or not he's on duty, he'll sometimes wear pale yellow blazer two sizes too large for him, with his name and rank stitched to the breast pocket in a rather amateurish way. Personality: A carefree and seemingly oblivious person. Jon's upbeat manner, ditziness and lack of common sense is at obvious odds with his profession, but since he wouldn't have the job if he was this genuinely incompetent... Truthfully, while he may not excel at spotting the vital clue at the crime scene, he's remarkably good at putting together the pieces available to him. While not quite capable of deducing the criminal from an errant speck of dust and a dirty footprint, his theories and guesswork is startlingly accurate in most cases. One of the types who's never seen angry, Jon is quite hard to rile up. He isn't even the type to suddenly explode if you exploit a particular berserk button, though he will drop his smile and lose the playful edge to his voice, so there's something? He is also aware of his shortcomings as a Detective, and strives to succeed, to the point that he'll deny any problems he might be having with a particular case, so as to not come across as a weak link to the team. History: Born in Hoenn, he met his current partners at a young age when playing near Mauville. He was entranced by the synchronised dancing of a Plusle and Minun, eventually mimicking their movements until he was spotted, causing them to flee. Over time, however, they came back to watch him from afar, like he would show up to watch them dance and play. Not too long afterward, they were the best of friends. When he was nine, his family moved to Johto, his father relenting to his son's begging and capturing the Plusle and Minun for him. A year later, he became a Pokemon Trainer, and gave his attempt at conquering the gyms of Johto. After only two attempts, he decided that the life of a Trainer simply wasn't for him, and made his way home. He encountered a few trainers on the way that had encountered criminals and had their Pokemon stolen from them, and hearing of their successful rescue later gave him the idea to try crime-fighting instead. And so, several years later, here he is now, a fully-fledged (Junior) Detective, ready to serve and protect the people! Region: Johto Team: Plusle, Minun Pokemon: Plusle Nickname: Tempo Personality: Like trainer, like Pokemon. A fun-loving scamp with a fondness for dancing. He's extremely protective of his counterpart and trainer, and attempts to intimidate potential threats of standing to his full height of... um... ankle-height? Strengths/weaknesses: Slightly more offense-oriented than Waltz, though without her support, most Pokemon would be capable of shrugging off his attacks. Pokemon: Minun Nickname: Waltz Personality: Quieter and more reserved than Tempo, but just as eager to show off her dance moves. Minun tends to act as a mediator between her fellow Pokemon. Strengths/weaknesses: On her own, she's not too good in a fight, but is more than capable of assisting Tempo's attacks with Thunder Waves and anything else distracting.

Okay, character stuff time. @McHaggis Norman and his team look fine to me, there. Accepted. @Rune_Alchemist Chloe and her team also look good. Accepted. @Fabricant451 Again, accepted. @LokiLeo789 The character looks fine to me, but the team is kind of strong. Like I said, experienced trainers are fine, but three fully-evolved Pokemon, and notably strong species at that, are a bit much. I'd suggest de-evolving them all at least a stage, at least.

Pokemon JUSTICE!

Hello, welcome to the world of Pokemon! ...Policing. My name is Looker, but people just call me... Looker. Welcome, future detectives! We are happy to welcome you into our ranks, and hope you help the many people of this world with your crime-fighting status! As a part of JUSTICE/Elite Crime Response Unit, it will be the job of you and your Pokemon to solve all manners of crime, from loitering to the planned destruction of reality! ...Though with any luck, things won't get that extreme. I am well aware that some of you have had some experience with Pokemon in some form, be it as Trainers, Co-ordinators or just simple companions, but please do abide by our rules pertaining to the usage of Pokemon. Safety reasons and all that. I hope you assist your branch to the best of your ability, and keep the innocent people and Pokemon safe from evil-doers! ------------------------ So you applied to the Police Force, huh? Great job! Now you get to travel the world and solve all the crime! ...Eventually. for now, you'll just be trainees handling whatever requests come in from the region's people. Which is still mighty important, by the way. Now, there's some trouble brewing about some mysterious thief that can effortlessly steal valuable artefacts from even the most heavily guarded of places, and despite all the deliberate clues said thief leaves behind, we can never seem to catch that elusive phantom... but don't let that concern you! Let the higher-ups apprehend that crook, and just focus on becoming the greatest police officers you can be! Gather many experiences and let that shape your future as the world's ultimate detective!

Ranking Stuff

I am sure you know full well the ranking of our Police Force, and do not need me to exposit the details again. However, because we're nice, here's a reminder!

The Detectives

• International Detective: The best of the best. Recognised for your Sherlock-With-An-Alakazam-level skills in investigation and crime resolution, International Detectives are given free reign to travel between branches as necessary, and even assume control in extreme circumstances.
• Detective: Generally the leader of the region they're based in, Detectives have shown to excel in crime fighting and possess mostly the same powers as an International Detective, though said I-D's orders take priority.
• Junior Detective: Officers-in-training that make up the majority of the force, generally restricted in the number of Pokemon they can use, but a vital part of our team nonetheless!
• Dutiful Apprentice: While not an official part of the team yet, this rank essentially identifies you as a future officer, once you're old enough to qualify. For now though, we appreciate the support!

The Science Side

The folk that don't do active ground work, but instead support justice from behind the scenes. Whether that be analysing clues, finances, or even just looking after our Pokemon friends back at base. Strictly speaking, they don't carry ranks, though they're still obliged to follow orders from Detectives, or Inter-Det's.

• Forensic Scientist: The brains that'll determine whodunnit, allowing us to catch our perps. Or at least who last used the coffee macine before it inexplicably came down with "Thunderbolt-itis".
• Day-Carer/Breeder: Someone needs to look after the Standard-issue Growlithe, right? And your Pokemon Partner's would probably like somewhere to play between cases. This person as you covered.
• Janitor: It's a thankless job, but someone's gotta fend off the Trubbish.

Rules

• Obvious one first: Standard RPGuild rules apply.
• No Legendaries or Mega Stones, I'm afraid.
• Relatedly, no former Champions, unbeatable prodigies, or Tobias. I don't mind decently-skilled characters, but we don't need to trivialise whatever battles may occur.
• This is intended to be light-hearted, so let's keep grimdark backstories or motivations out of this, shall we? We don't have to fill the RP with sunshine and rainbows, but at the end of the day, this is still Pokemon. No matter how Ghetsis you are, you aren't going to kick puppies and drown orphans in a pool of blood.

General Stuff

Depending on the number of players, it might be better if we all stuck to one region for now. If there's plenty of interest, we can expand to cover more territory and thus, more plot. ----------------------- Think I covered all the main points there. Post characters in the character tab, where you'll find the sheet as well. Discussion for accepting characters and the thread itself will be conducted here. So yeah, have fun and stuff.

What would you consider to be an important factor in maintaining law and order? Pokemon Champions? Pokemon Trainers? The stern old man that grumbles disapprovingly at you? ...Well, actually, I suppose they could all be important cogs too, but the point I'm making is; criminals aren't unopposed in this world! Just as there are teams dedicated to nefariousness and general villainy, there are champions of justice making sure they can't corrupt the justness of our fine society! ...Granted, random Trainers have kind of been doing a decent job keeping them at bay for a while, but obviously that needs to change! We can't have innocent kids getting involved in all this dangerous stuff! We need professionals to deal with these crooks! Actual professionals would also need to be employed for this to be effective, hence the new addition to our ranks! Team JUSTICE (meaning of acronym pending, or until one of our fine agents stops pushing for the name), formally known as the Elite Crime Response Unit, is made up of highly skilled detectives, abilities ranging from Pokemon battles and knowledge, to crime prevention, and deductive skills. Their job: Solve crimes before they become a problem. Let's make the world a safer place for both people and Pokemon! ---------------- Sooo basically, a Pokemon RP in which the players are part of the Police force, since that seems rather under-represented somehow. Must be the lack of Jennys in the games, but anyway. A simple, fun Pokemon RP that also has some mysteries to solve, probably with an overarching plot regarding a Phantom Thief, but the RP is largely about character interaction, and seeing the world through the eyes of a crime fighter. Who is probably no different from most trainers anyway. Any questions?
