I think I might not have been as clear in my writing as I should have been, so allow me to clarify: The dreams didn't end when you leveled up. You can speak with the people in you are dreaming about if you so desire.
"Indeed." Sir Shane lamentingly agreed with Patrick's ending remark. There was a lull in the conversation once again, during which Sir Shane ate a little more of his meal, then the knight broke the silence with another question. "The other people who live here..." Sir Shane said. "Do either of you feel they aught to be made aware of what has transpired this day?"
Before I do the full CS, I just want to quickly make sure the abilities I have made for my xeno are good to use.
0 stress: Sight across all of the electromagnetic spectrum and perfect vision from any distance. Near-unshakable balance and steadiness. Perpetual state of calm.
1 stress: Turn ordinary ammunition into mystic ammunition. (This ability might cost 0 stress if you are on or nearby a world with a high Weird rating.) Hit an improbable shot. Slow your perception of time.
2 stress: Create mystic ammunition from thin air. (This ability might cost 1 stress if you are on or nearby a world with a high Weird rating.) Hit an impossible shot. Halt your perception of time.
Optional Rule: When you deviate from your purpose (sniping in this case), take level 2 or level 3 harm (based on how wildly you have deviated) called “Gweldite Weakness” and add a gambit to your crew’s gambit pool. This harm can only be removed by performing holy rites of penitence and rededication for 24 hours. An indulge vice downtime activity will remove this in addition to any segments filled.
Sir Shane's face reddened slightly with embarrassment as Patrick laughed at his question. The knight knew the farmer's reaction was involuntary and didn't carry any malice, but it still made him feel silly for asking the question. Enough so that Sir Shane almost didn't want to ask the next question that came to his mind. But curiosity won out in the end though. "Who is old Fergy?" Sir Shane asked.
"I see." Sir Shane said as he this new information. After that, the knight lapsed into silence for a time as he enjoyed some more of the meal. "Since an army is likely out of the question, I suppose I'll be needing a tracker willing to guide me further westward." Sir Shane eventually spoke up again. "Does anyone of that profession make their home in this hamlet?"
"She's an outlander?" Sir Shane said curiously. It certainly explained the odd makeup she wore around her eyes. Though she couldn't have been that far from home. Other than that, there wasn't anything about Elaine that suggested she was a foreigner. "Did she ever mention where she's from?"
