"Okay..."

At this, Luka paused and looked back at Ashley, wincing when he saw how out of her depth she looked. With a flex of his willpower, the loud music and the clamor of the party faded into a distant, muffled quiet for the two of them as Luka stepped back off the dance floor. "My apologies." Luka said. "Sometimes I forget all of this can be overwhelming for some people. Especially when they're new to it and are abruptly thrust into the situation. There should be a way to the VIP lounge that goes around the dance floor if you'd prefer."

Regardless of which route they ended up taking, Luka and Ashley would arrive at a cordoned off flight of stairs that led upwards. There was a sign next to the cordon which read 'VIPs Only'. Needless to say, Luka and Ashley were allowed through without delay. "Your fixer is already up there, Mister Durand." The bouncer watching the stairs to the VIP lounge remarked as they passed him by. "They seemed very keen to talk to you about something, but they wouldn't say what."

"Thanks for the heads up." Luka said as he ascended the steps with Ashley. On their way up. Luka spoke to Ashley. "Fair warning: While they are one of the most competent fixers in the state, Jesse is something of an oddball. When I said before that keeping people guessing is a hobby of theirs, I meant it a lot more than you realize. It is very hard to predict what they are going to speak like, behave like, or even look like between one meeting and the next. So my advice? Brace yourself." Shortly after saying this, Luka and Ashley reached the top of the stairs and made their way into the VIP lounge.

The VIP lounge was located on a large balcony that overlooked the rest of the party. It came with a wide variety of comfortable seats and couches, a private bar, and a small dance floor among other things. Jesse was throwing some moves on the dance floor when Luka and Ashley arrived. "I see you are enjoying yourself." Luka said as he sat down on the couch closest to the dance floor. "Always good to know that my parties continue to meet your high standards."

"I think we are the guest Luka." Ashley spoke as she took his hand. "But whatever, let's get this thing done."

Luka gave an incredulous laugh in response to Ashley's words as he helped her out of the car. "Is that what you think?" Luka said as he escorted Ashley to the main entrance, where a long line of people was being checked against a guest list by a big beefy bouncer working the velvet rope. "I am a guest, am I...? Leviticus!"

The bouncer looked up from his list at Luka's call.

"If anyone in front of me isn't on the guest list, they are now!" Luka declared as he joined the back of the line. "Let them in! Let them all in!"

"Right away, Mister Durand." The bouncer said before dropping the velvet rope and speaking into an ear comm as the now enthusiastically cheering people in line eagerly entered the venue.

"I wouldn't call that limit I mentioned before sad, by the way." Luka casually spoke then as he leisurely made his way towards the entrance with Ashley. "It just means that I can't rely on myself for everything, even now. No man is an island, after all. And no king rules alone."

"Would you like me to request any alteration to your introduction ahead of your arrival, Mister Durand?" Leviticus asked as Luka and Ashley reached where the front of the line was before.

"Only a small one." Luka said. "When they announce my arrival, have them mention that with me is Ashley Herrera, the Guest of Honor for Day Three's party."

"Right away, Mister Durand." Leviticus said before relaying Luka's instructions into the ear comm.

Luka shot a wry smile Ashley's direction before leading her into the venue. Inside, the place was a veritable party paradise, as befitting a location of its notability. It seemed that the party hadn't started yet. The room was quiet and only the lights needed for proper visibility were on as people milled about, waiting for the fun to begin.

Upon seeing Luka and Ashley enter, the man in the DJ booth took up a microphone and spoke into it. "Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to the Twelve Days of Christmas Parties: Day Three!" The DJ exclaimed, eliciting a cheer from the crowd. "And now, please join me in welcoming your host and his Guest of Honor... Luka Durand and Ashley Herrera!"

A spotlight fell upon Luka and Ashley then, and the crowed cheered its welcome to the both of them. Luka smiled and waved to his guests, soaking in their adoration like a narcissistic sponge. As the cheering died down, Luka held out his free hand. A moment later, the hand was grasping a microphone courtesy of Montague. "Who's ready to get this party started?" Luka asked, earning himself another wave of cheers. "That's what I thought. DJ! Drop a beat."

The DJ was quick to comply with Luka's request. Lighting up the venue with all the colors of the rainbow as Christmas themed EDM filled the air.

Handing his mic back to Montague, Luka turned to Ashley with a wide smile of anticipation on his face. "Jesse will be waiting for us in the VIP lounge." Luka informed her. "And to get there, we shall have to cross the dance floor. Stay close, stay GLAMOROUS, and we will make it there in style." With that said Luka turned to the dance floor and began grooving his way towards the VIP lounge.
