"Wait! You're our first guests in. Three thousand eight hundred and four days,"
Are Faerie time shenanigans afoot at Wilderness Wonderland? That many days would mean ten years have passed since the last guests visited, but you've said previously that the park shut down 5 years ago.
This is why I made Eleanor a Mark of Handling Human in Lurking's game. XD
That is a good point. But consider these three counterpoints...
Counterpoint One: Dragonmarks are from Eberron lore, so the restriction on Speak With Animals is only really enforced in Eberron.
Counterpoint Two: Brutrumukk comes from the Forgotten Realms, where dragonmarks don't exist and where Baldur's Gate 3 and its associated owlbear conversations take place even so.
Would you by any chance be in agreement with Baldur's Gate 3 that Speak With Animals can work on owlbears. If so, would the owlbear's huff and growl mean anything to Brutrumukk if he used his new feat to cast Speak With Animals?
"Curse a creature you say?" Brutrumukk said in common when Aurora mentioned what the wanted poster said. "I can name a few creatures I'd like to see cursed." Brutrumukk chuckled darkly then at the thought of leveling a curse against one of his enemies. And all for the bargain price of bringing some brat to whoever made that poster. "What's there to figure out? An' what are you wantin' bears for?" Brutrumukk asked when Aurora then told Clapperclaw to hold off until bears could be obtained and the next move could be figured out. "Obviously what we should do next is go to this guy's cave an' eat all 'is food. Once we've done that, we find this Will o' the Feywild an' take 'im to whoever wants 'im so I can curse that kenku git from the carnival." With that said, Brutrumukk turned to Clapperclaw. "Which way's the cave?" Brutrumukk asked.
"Wait, faeries? Like... pixies, brownies, banshees and the like? Are you telling me that's what we're dealing with?!"
"That is at the very least what I extrapolate from what Cass has mentioned so far." O'Malley said in response to Loch's words. "I know your area of expertise leans more towards cryptids, Loch m'lass, but I like to think your knowledge will still map well enough to the task at hand. If you get stuck anywhere though, you know you can always ask your old pal O'Malley for a helpin' hand." A moment later, O'Malley glanced over at the open gate as he saw the figure of yet another person approach it. "Look alive you two." The animatronic spoke up while gesturing towards the incoming new arrival. "It seems there's going to be a fourth member to this band."
