Momotaro

Happy Landings
Fuyuki Park

Momotaro's eyes shot as he got distracted once more after making his landing, realizing he had missed that Assassin by merely a few inches. A single moment would have made the difference yet this Devil had avoided him, Caster's assistance was essential though. Without it, Momo knew deep down his master would be mincemeat and so would he, this flowery man would be toast too from the looks of things. His sandal-clad feet skidded on the earthen ground as he remained in stance before watching Berserker pursue assassin then the scoundrel disappeared into the shadows.

The Saber took a deep breath as he looked towards the Oni before turning to the surrounding people, nodding to Caster as the Mage beside him began talking. "You have my eternal thanks, Caster! Thanks to you both me and my Partner have survived such a vile attack from a devil in the shadows! You have given me so much fun! First you, then such a sudden shot to save my partner! Truly it's like the good ol' days! Slaying demons and having fun!"

He gave a chuckle before holding his sword up steady before turning back to Kotaro with a huge grin. "Good to see you made it! I'm always ready for anything, well, being flung counts as Fate favoring me after all, and yet here I am Partner! We have to be careful, who knows what could happen next this is such a true spectacle of an evening! God, I am so glad you were lucky enough to summon me! We gotta do more of this sorta thing! Any idea on the Assassin attack? I may have figured out the identities of the berserkers.." he said before going quiet as he turned to the rambling Mage.

"Cherries are pretty good! Not my number one fruit, but I agree pretty sweet and good, your thoughts Partner?"

Stranger Danger

Close proximity to the Caster's chest made the poor Golemancer blush heavily and shake visibly, melting into her after that, trying to avoid the terrifying Pup that was guarding her. This was most definitely a trap but deep down he was hoping that he had been lucky enough to meet one of those Independent servants that he had heard of. He gave a weak chuckle as he went to spew a bunch of lies to her to avoid any further danger that she might pose to him.

"Assassin, I may call you at a moment's notice, Shinto, keep an eye, those appear to be heavy hitters, f-follow them and see if you can pick off anyone weakened, poison at your own behest" he said telepathically, every so often accidentally stuttering out loud before realizing he had said a few words out loud as he was held by the Caster. Luckily he didn't say too much, but it was like his inhibitions had been clogged and intoxication had kicked in suddenly like a truck hitting him.

He swayed a little before clinging onto the hand she had gave him and gave her a bright grin before nodding. "Seems I had more ta drink than I thought! I'm uh, so like, the name's Walt, a pleasure to meet you Cassandra, if that is your real name" he gave a quick giggle before shaking his head at her. "Like you'd actually gimme your real name! I ain't that dumb, was tryna keep a low profile, almost got back to base but didn't expect such a beautiful like woman to swoop me up! You're definitely not a local"

he gave another quick chuckle, swaying with the alcohol invading his system. He felt the magic and twitched a bit before smiling at her, sincere thanks in his face, grateful for the company, but worrying that he hadn't;t abandoned Assassin her time of need. "Coffee sounds sick! W-we should go right now yknow? I'll call my assistant to come to join us later maybe or is it like a private affair?"

Master of Faster
Fuyuki Park

Momotaro's soul and passion were burning, his joy of the thrill of the fight, unbeatable odds flying towards and around him, it was all perfect for the young saber. Truly, the entire time, his bright boyish grin never left his face. In his natural element, the peach boy shone, dashing with such excitement, before positioning himself for a strike on Caster's defense before suddenly.

Whiplash.

Rather than himself moving, all he saw was Caster disappear before his very eyes, the woman launched from one location to another in the blink of an eye before suddenly, it was like the world around the poor confused Saber shifted entirely around him, as if he had never moved and the only hint that he'd even moved was the fact that a small dust cloud erupted from his feet, sandals against the grass and dirt before his realization to his whereabouts quickly kicked in.

The smile disappeared as his gaze turned to steely determination. Momotaro, born from a peach, was nothing but a hero and a representation of the will and spirit that dwelled within the hope of Japan. In legend, he knew nothing but protecting the weak from the monsters in the dark, slaying them and spreading joy, hope, and peace. Remembering the moment he faced down all those oni, his gaze turned quickly to the attack this Western Devil was making on his amazing Partner.

His stance shifted with swift precision, turning on his heel as he swooped into position his sword between him and his master. As he went to make the arch of his katana he meant a mental note to thank the Caster who had given him this chance and even if it was in her own interest, he appreciated the gesture nonetheless. In his eyes, she was a true ally, allowing him the chance to save Kotaro from almost certain doom, and by proxy, himself. Her tricks were nothing but fascinating to him, obviously, abilities that originated from somewhere more West than he had ever been. Oh, how he longed to hear tales of her homeland.

He arched his blade to give him one of two results. Slicing through the Assassin's arm at the moment of impact into Caster's barrier, or deflecting the metal claw with his mighty blade. With this territory in place and the raw feeling of evil that Assassin radiated, his strength was more boosted than ever, almost at the same level as the nearby Oni's. "Partner! Stay behind me! This beast is nothing but evil, find safety at once!"

He prepared to strike again, staring the assassin down as he watched for his next attack.

Uh Oh Spaghettios

Just before he had the chance to depart from Shinto Town, Walter's own incompetence befell him, striking back for not accompanying Hassan, surely they both would've been fine and safe if he had kept close to her. Of course, she would be safe whatever, she was powerful, fast, held abilities that scared even him. Going pale after hearing a voice call out to him, he pivoted on his feet and turned to the girl, quickly taking a chug from his hip flask to lessen the blow he knew he was about to take.

Giving a smile to the girl, he tried to ignore the obvious warning signs as he tried to play it cool. Sure he'd been getting luck every so often on nights out back in England, but he didn't expect something like this, that was undoubtedly a trap. Trying his hardest not to be flattered he patted down his pockets before nodding and giving a little chuckle, realizing he left his gloves at home and he was obviously a Master, even if his magus prowess wasn't obvious.

With the arm wrapped around his shoulder, he gulped as he looked to the puppy then back to the Caster. "Sure as long as I can enjoy the whole night, and that includes the dawn y'know? You yourself don't look like the usual kind of girl to just, run up and demand a night of joy and jealousy" He gave a grin before sighing as he felt it's gaze. Quickly he telepathically linked to Hassan. 'Assassin, be careful, think I just encountered something REAL BAAAD, but don't you worry, just focus on the Park and take easy pickings, or whatever y'think you can handle, godspeed'

Turning back to the girl after gazing off a little he gave another weak cocky smirk. "Mind telling me the name of my company, or do I not have that privilege yet?"

The Risk I Took Was Calculated
Fuyuki Park

This was bad.

Expectations of just lightning raining down and him having to dodge it was shattered with one moment as Momotaro's charge was interrupted by his shock and surprise as his charge faltered, crashing through the first barrier that Hypatia had set up for him. His sword was outstretched and as his charge hit the barrier, his sheer force increased as he stumbled through.

This was gonna be harder than expected.

With that brief stop, he pushed on, going back into his valiant stride, gritting hard as he felt the atmosphere shift around him. This was no longer anyone's territory but this Caster before him. With that, Raid of Onigashima activated, the skill-boosting the boy's strength but at this moment, he was well aware that brute strength would not be his ally in this valiant charge.

He skidded in his tracks, watching the monkeys rise up from the darkness of the park before him and he noticed the crocodile almost immediately. A wide boyish grin spread across his features, realizing these were not animals like the ones he had met in his time, nothing but fakes, and a perfect sparring partner. The young warrior heeded the warning, quickly wrapping both hands around the katana as he lashed out into the monkeys, dodging the crocodile with ease, dancing around him with a glint in his eyes, lunging out at the monkeys with precise strikes, finishing each one with a single slash, aiming for critical centers, destabilizing them with a clear cut through the middle of each one.

Time was running out, and he could feel magic on its way. Suddenly the beam began. And Momotaro saw an opportunity.

Suddenly, he stomped on the crocodile's head with his sandaled foot, subduing it before gripping its tail with a free hand, the other on his katana. Swiftly, he began swinging the crocodile around him as orbs bounced to and forth, sheathing his katana and only using the crocodile to swing it, bouncing the magical balls off of its husk, every so often a stray one would slip by his defense as he slowly stepped closer and closer to the caster. His grip slipped and the crocodile was tossed towards Hypatia as Momotaro unsheathed his sword.

That moment of hesitation was enough for the beam balls to rocket into the armourless boy, wincing as he felt the electrical bursts around him. Dashing was all he could do as he ran, enduring the onslaught as he slashed out at them, hopefully bouncing them away from him, but they would only bounce back and smack him in the face. Wincing he brought his smiling face up to face his opponent as he advanced on Hypatia.

"This is great! Thank you caster! AHAHAHA" he laughed as he responded, trying his best to roll to dodge the beams before coming back up and ducking beneath the bouncing onslaught, many striking him and electricity slowly began to build, slowing him down, but he continued nonetheless. "Apologies for the misunderstanding! Beserker of the Goddess will likely make short work of the oni! But I shall oblige you and spar! I hope you have more tricks up your sleeve!"

A wise grin was obvious as he took a deep breath and nodded, making a final dash for her, sword in both hands. "I promise you, at this moment I wouldn't dare! This is more fun than 3000 Onis!"

Shinto, Town proper - Heading Back to Harbor

GOTTA BLAST

Walter shuffled uncomfortably through the streets of Shinto before gulping uncomfortably, having sent Hassan on ahead and let out a deep sigh. How did he get into this damn situation? It was Night one, and already he could feel the odds were stacked against him. He bit down hard on his tongue before nodding.

"Assassin, it's Walt, I'm gonna head back to the warehouse, keep an eye on that Park business or some shit, I'm gonna duck back so I'm not an easy target, if you figure out any Servant's true names, lemme know and I'll do a google, for now, I'm going to retreat back and grab some drinks. If you need assistance just let me know and I'll send the golems out."
he telepathically said to her before turning on his heel and clumsily sneaking through the streets.

The blue-clad bartender just wanted this all to wind down, even though he could tell he had summoned a lethal weapon of a girl, he knew all it would take is a full-scale attack that would wipe him out in a blink of a lie. He sighed and started to run towards the harbor again, skipping through the streets of Shinto.

The Thot Extermination
Fuyuki Park

Momotaro was very conflicted.

The young hero was no strategist, he was not born to lead troops and make smart decisions, he followed his heart and delivered justice when he saw people in turmoil. Joy was what he brought, through his actions and his decisions, he brought joy and happiness and persevered. This situation with this fellow warrior and this demonic beast of an oni girl, well, it made him feel a little queasy. Damn he really needed another one of his Master's candies.

"Sword of the goddesses! I'm honored to fight alongside you tonight! I, however, shall allow you the honour of slaying this beast. I' don't know about you but I have had my fill of Oni slaying ahaha, to face another is just a cruel twist of fate! So I shall aid y--"

Before he could even conclude, that burst of energy took place and his eyes widened in shock, sparks falling to the ground, his reflexes and luck allowing him to avoid them, for the most part, charring his clothes a little before blocking a couple with his sword. The steely yet youthful gaze of the young warrior turned to seek out the enemy that was assisting this demon.

He locked eyes on her position and dug his feet into the ground before bounding towards her, sword drawn and his hand going down into his satchel. He could feel this environment, this weaver of misfortune had filled this with her tricks yet he had no idea what. Defenses. Perfect.

He advanced towards her with great haste, his hand tightening around something within his satchel, and his other tight around his sword, ready to evade anymore attacks as he sidestepped through the lightning, blocking it as much as he could.

"An ally of a demon is an enemy of me! Perhaps we can discuss this rather than the carving of the path of fate!"

He gritted his teeth, continuing his race towards the Greek mathematician.

A blush bright and pink appeared on the boy Saber's face as he burst out laughing in return, realizing his embarrassment almost immediately, but a sense of relief swept over him, realizing this guy had a good sense of humor.

His hand snapped out to catch the candy, eating it quite quickly, letting out a nice relieved gasp as he ate it. His smile shone bright as he enjoyed the taste and feeling of it. The modern world di wonders with food it appeared. A look of pure content washed over him as he listened to his new partner.

"I see! Partner, I like it! We'll have no problems Kotaro Toshizo it is almost by Fate that we were brought together y'know? Taro and Taro, we are truly Partners! You are a hero of justice and I too uphold justice! For that I can tell that me and you, will get along great! Gods! I am so excited to be working alongside you, Partner!"

he laughed heartily and toned his bright smile down a little. "I feared as such... What I did in my time was surely never enough to eliminate evil forever, it festers and remains! But have no fear! With the combination of you and me, I'm sure these modern demons will face harsh cold justice yeah?" he announced to Kotaro with another bright grin as he grabbed a coat and slung it over his shoulders, over his traditional wear.

He felt the energy and nodded to him as he began to make his way there.

Fuyuki Park

As he arrived Momotaro slowed down his advance as he enterred the park and sniffed the air. "Master, I would stand back, there is something sinister afoot" He uttered as the boy continued his advance into the park as he turned and saw the people already there. His sword sheathed he gave a bright smile as his glance grazed over William and Berserker before focusing on the Oni.

"I don't believe your kind of fun is welcome in a public area, good evening all"

He smiled brightly, his eyes sharp like steel. He stood there, awaiting his master to catch up.

Walter Garbury
Shinto, Town proper

Walter really didn't know how to do incognito. All he had done to disguise himself from his usual attire was to take his blue jacket off, not even replacing it or taking off the matching hat. He ran a hand through his hair with a sigh as he kept to the shadows. Back at base, he had left the golems to defend the base, on alert and if anything happened to them he'd be able to sense it and would be able to get back as quickly as possible. Shinto wasn't too far away from the harbor, hence why he had chosen this place to figure out if they could find any other masters and servants.

A sudden yelp would be heard by anyone roaming the streets, as Walter did a little jump as he felt the message and flares, both announcing the war was actually afoot. He took a moment to catch his breath and assessed the situation. The Academy was where he felt one invitation for a brawl and there was another at Fuyuki Park. He gulped as he felt his heart drop. Chaos was already going to be filling the streets tonight, at least two other Masters were on the prowl for blood and he was out of the base with Assassin.

Speaking of Assassin. he turned a corner and a bright smile washed over his face as he spotted her in disguise, walking over slowly with a smile, looking around himself idly. He sat next to her, staying just a bit apart so he didn't accidentally poison himself.

"Hey. Just got here, did you feel those messages too?" He squirmed a little as he thought about his next move. "I say if we don't know exactly where everyone is, I say you go to the park and see if we can spot anyone going there, kinda work out the competition y'know? Figure out who we're up against, maybe even follow them and figure out their bases?"

he got up and dusted himself off. Motioning for her to follow him as he made for the bridge. "let's cross over, and well...shit, go to the park, stay undetected and figure this whole thing out. See any moments to swoop in, be my guest I guess" He rubbed his temple and nodded to her, leading the way.

Momotaro
Saber of the Peach
Commerce District, Commercial office

Legend told of the heroic boy, Momotaro. He went on a journey by himself, a sole mission to save his people from the tyrannical Oni and steal their treasure. His world was small, his story was small. Yet his influence and his memory. Even in death, he could feel how people remembered him. Was he real? as he but a myth? Who cared, all that mattered was that people loved him and celebrated him throughout the centuries, he was a hero in the eyes of the people and that warmed his little peach heart.

Before the brave detective, mist swirled and lights flashed before finally, the mist separated and a figure stood there proudly, a silhouette that slowly morphed into that of a proud warrior. Barely standing at 5'3, Saber blinked a few times, confused as to the nature of how his master was addressing him. His robe brushed against the floor as he tapped his feet on the floor, testing it out before his eyes lit up.

"Japan! Sunrise Kingdom!" He announced loudly with a bright grin, adjusting his tie in his hair before walking over to him and peering at him with a bright grin. "Apologies! Where are my manners, my honor is lacking! Momotaro! Firstborn of the peach, of the saber class! You must be my Master! Tell me! What is your goal in this so-called war Master!" A bright grin washed over him as he bowed, before holding his hand out. "And you are?"

The familiar smells and atmosphere around him made him really comfortable, this was where he belonged, and this detective had given him another chance to enjoy the land once more.
