As Niki introduced herself and her companion, Kimberly sensed something. Kimberly had no idea what it was, only that skin tingle. Unbeknownst to her, what Kimberly was sensing was Niki's energy field. It wasn't doing anything harmful to her, but the feeling persisted within Niki's presence. "Conner, it feels weird in here," Kimberly remarked, confused as she turned her head from side to side and held her arms close to her. "Conner?" Kimberly asked, having had no reply from Conner, so she looked up to see Conner staring at Niki with wonder. "Conner!" Kimberly said more firmly as she smacked him gently on the face.
Conner, broken out of his trance, looked at Kimberly and exclaimed, "Ah, what?"
Kimberly gave Conner a rather disapproving look. "Let's get you out of this room," Kimberly said, pushing Conner out the door. "Ok, ok, jeez," Conner said to Kimberly. Conner looked back at Niki and waved while saying, "Um, bye!"
Once the pair were out the door, Conner asked, "What was that for?" Kimberly merely replied with a stink-eye and a "Hmph," as she walked away.
Before the two could converse further, alarms sounded and lights flashed.
"Titans! Assemble!" Hadrian shouted in the over the com and waited for his teammates in the entrance hall.
Needing no further prompt, the two made their way to the entrance hall. Something was going on, and they were there to help.

Kimberly enjoyed listening to everyone explaining what their powers were. She was about to explain her own, but Hadrien stepped in and said something about training and teams. Then people began to walk away before she could say anything. Disappointed, she walked away to search for Conner. "Hey Conner, did you find a room yet?" Kimberly called out as she walked forward. A moment later, a nearby door opened, and Conner stepped out.
"I'm right here. Come on in," Conner said, motioning his hand to invite her.
Kimberly stepped inside, and was impressed by how comfy it was. "Wow, this sure beats my room at home," Kimberly remarked.
"Yeah, shame we're not staying here forever," Conner replied.
Kimberly turned to look at Conner, surprised, and asked, "What do you mean?"
Conner looked back at Kimberly and asked back, "What do you mean 'what do I mean'? Did you think this was going to become our new home? I don't know about everyone else here, but we still have our parents to answer to."
Kimberly looked down, disappointed, and replied, "Yeah, you're right. I guess I got a little.... carried away."
Conner sighed, then went over to pat Kimberly on the head. "Maybe when we're older and stuff, alright?" Conner reassured her.
Kimberly looked back up at Conner and smiled. "Sure," Kimberly said. All cheered up again, Kimberly went over to the door and went out, then stuck her head back in and said, "Let's go into other people's rooms!"
"W-wait a moment-" Conner said, but Kimberly was already running off. Conner sighed and muttered, "Oh boy," as he walked back out.
Kimberly opened a random door of her choosing, which just happened to be the one to Niki's room. "Hello!" Kimberly called out to the blonde girl. Conner quickly managed to catch up to Kimberly and grab her by the shoulder. "Kimberly, don't run off like that. Jeez," Conner chastised her. Conner then turned to Niki and said, "Sorry about that."

What I meant was: put it in the first post, not later on. Not as many people are going to read further than the first post to get a first impression on this.
