Man, there are a crap top of us waiting for this. I can't imagine how tough it must be for Kho to manage this many people, even with Co-GM help.

I died and reincarnated into fantasy world- WHAT'S WITH THIS LIGHT NOVEL-LIKE SETTING!?!

Tori noticed that the tension had not eased between the woman and the group, despite their efforts. Tori was still too nervous to say anything. She briefly wondered if she should when the three lizard creatures appeared again, still panicking. The red woman seemed to notice that something was amiss, making Tori curious as to what that would be. That question was quickly answered when odd green tendrils of light appeared. They looked pretty to Tori, but the woman was definitely afraid of them, as proven by the way she acted. Tori then made the wise decision to run for her life, away from whatever was chasing them.

Tori had lost track of time as she ran. All she cared about was getting someplace safe, away from all the danger. Surprisingly, she managed to avoid tripping on any roots and was able to keep up with the others. Eventually they reached some sort of road with paved stones. The things that had been following them were stopped by some invisible barrier, and Tori was able to get a good look at them for the first time. Naturally, Tori had no idea what they were, but she couldn't help but admire just how magnificent they looked. Sure, they also looked incredibly menacing and dangerous, but beautiful in their own way. The mob of beasts soon moved away, though, with Tori still looking at them as they left.

The situation finally calmed down now, which Tori was grateful for. She then noticed just how tired she was, and she lied on her back as she breathed somewhat heavily, looking up at the sky. Tori then turned her head to her side, her eyes resting on a knife in a leather sheath on the ground. Pushing herself up, Tori got a better look at it and gingerly picked it up by the handle. Pulling the knife out, Tori admired it for a few moments before putting it back in the sheath. Attaching the sheath to her shorts, Tori began looking for anything else that could be useful when she saw Charlotte. Tori debated for a moment whether it was a good idea to go talk to her, then decided that it would be rude to not thank her. "Umm, e-excuse me," Tori said nervously as she approached Charlotte. "Th-thank you for, um, helping us, b-back there."

"I'll try not to," Leander said in response, eager to get things rolling. Vincent mentioned something about Leander getting killed, which Leander ignored.

"DUEL!" Leander said, the duel officially starting.

Leander Vs. Mystery Lady: Heroes of Light and Magic

"If you insist. My turn." the mysterious woman announced, picking up a single card from her hand of five. "I Summon my Heroic Challenger - Ambush Soldier." she started off, laying the card on her disk. From behind Leander, a hand got put on his shoulder. Turning around would reveal a creepy-looking soldier, wearing a helmet that completely obscured their features and a machete in the right hand. Their cloak hung loosely, hiding some of their camo-coloured clothes. The walked past Leander, taking a spot nice and easy in the middle of the mystery woman's field.

Heroic Challenger - Ambush Soldier: 0 ATK 0 DEF Level 1 EARTH Warrior

"I'll set one card. You've got one turn to impress, make it count." the woman ended, picking up one card and showing it in the S/T zone, soon followed by a holographic image of the back of a card. Her expression was still the stiff seriousness from before, and it wasn't going to lift any time soon by the looks of it.

Turn 2: Leander

"Draw!" Leander declared, drawing a new card from his deck. After looking over his cards, Leander knew what to do. "I discard Zeradias, Herald of Heaven in order to add the Field Spell card: Sanctuary in the Sky from my deck to my hand," Leander explained, taking the ejected card out of his deck and immediately playing it on the field. At once the area around them transformed, the ground beneath them becoming a carpet of cloud that extended in all directions as far as the eye could see, and a giant white temple appearing behind Leander.

"Next I play the Continuous Spell card: Valhalla, Hall of the Fallen!" Leander declared, another structure appearing behind Leander, this one with grey stone walls and red curtains. "Lastly, I activate Calling of the Sky, which allows me to add one 'Parshath' or 'Nova Summoner' from my deck to my hand," Leander explained, taking yet another ejected card from his deck and placing it in his hand. "Now, since Valhalla is on the field, I can Special Summon a Fairy-type monster from my hand as long as I got no monsters on my field."

"Champion of Light, smite our foes with your radiance! Level 7! Neo-Parshath, the Sky Paladin!" Leander chanted, the blindingly brilliant angel descending from a hole in the top of Valhalla.

With his monster summoned, Leander knew exactly what to do against a monster with 0 ATK. "Neo-Parshath, attack Heroic Challenger - Ambush Soldier!" Leander commanded, the fairy firing a ray of light from its blade.

"...Pointless." the woman murmured, sighing and closing her eyes for a moment. She waited for Leander to finish his declaration, then opened her eyes once more... With a noticable change. The right eye was glowing, and had its pupil split into two vertical lines. "My trap card activates, Storming Mirror Force. Your Parshath will now return to the hand. she commanded, the card flipping face-up. The ray of light slammed into a wall of pure wind, which seemed to become real inside the room. A huge gust forced the ray back towards Leander, putting Parshath into the hand. The woman herself seemed unphazed by her cloak getting whipped up and pushed against her body due to the gusts.

Leander felt a powerful gust of wind threatening to knock him off his feet, but he managed to hold his ground. "Well that's a shame," Leander said as he saw that his monster was back in his hand. Nothing he could do about it now, though. Instead, Leander grabbed two cards from his hand and said, "I place two cards face-down and end my turn."

Turn 3: Lady

"...My turn. Draw." The glow of her eye didn't stop, and the woman let out an exasperated sigh. She quickly took a scan of the card in her, looking bored when she knew what the result was. "Normally I would activate my Heroic Challenger's effect, but I won't." she informed, then took the card she just drew.

"I activate a Trap Card: Lightforce Sword!" Leander declared suddenly, a sword dropping down from the sky and pinning the card the lady was about to play to the ground, face-down. "This card lets me banish a card from your hand face-down until your fourth Standby Phase!" Leander said, feeling proud of that move. "I have no idea what that card was, but that was too cool not to do!"

"...Then I'll tell you. The card you stabbed, was Mystical Space Typhoon. And it wasn't my only one." she continued, picking up another card she had in her hand and showing it. Indeed, another Mystical was there to greet Leander. "With it, your second facedown card goes now as well." She played it, and the same gust that took over the class now focused itself on Leander's cards.

Leander shielded himself as the gust of wind shredded his face-down card, which revealed itself to be Seven Tools of the Bandit.

"Now I activate Reinforcement of the Army. It allows me to add Heroic Challenger - Double Lance from my deck to my hand." the woman continued, a single card jutting out of her deck and getting added to her hand. "Naturally, I'll summon it." she continued, playing the thing. A blue knight rose up out of a vortex,t holding a lance larger then itself forward. "Double Lance allows me to summon my second copy of Double Lance from my hand." the woman explained, another of the same knight crouching next to the first after they'd slashed the floor to open a rift for them.

Heroic Challenger - Double Lance: 1700 ATK 900 DEF Level 4 EARTH Warrior

The woman seemed to be hesitating somewhat. It didn't seem like she wanted to finish the duel at all. "...I did say I was going to show you a demonstration, didn't I?" she asked rethorically, the glow in her eyes becoming more intense. "I use my two copies of Double Lance to construct the Overlay Network!" The ground suddenly morphed to reveal a pitch-black vortex filled with stars, while Double Lance 1 & 2 became brownish, pulsating lines. They jumped into it, merged together, and then exploded in a flash of light.

"Mighty warrior who fought villains and rose to fame, arrive on your mighty steed to end their tyranny once more! Exceed Summon! Descend, Rank four, Heroic Champion - Gandyva!" the woman chanted, and out of the explosion rode a bowman in full armor riding their might battle steed. They had a beatiful gold-and-black pattern crawling along it, and a helmet to obscure their eyes.

Heroic Champion - Gandyva: 2100 ATK 1800 DEF Level 4 EARTH Warrior

"...Boy, do you know about the next evolution of the Exceed summon?" the woman asked Leander, awaiting his response.

Leander was confused at the mention of the "next evolution". He simply tilted his head and looked at her with a blank stare. "The what?" Leander asked.

"Then I'll show you. When a Heroic Xyz monster is summoned to my side of the field, I can destroy one Warrior type monster on my field." the woman started, Heroic Challenger - Ambush Soldier bursting into pixels. "By the effect of my Rank-up Magic, Heroic Force, I can now add this card from my deck to my hand." She continued, adding a Spell Card emblazoned with a crest. It had a shield as the main motif, with a crooked blade running along the rop line of it. The shield was a deep black and the sword a beatiful silver.

"I activate the Rank-Up Magic, HEROIC FORCE! Using my Heroic Champion - Gandyva I now reconstruct the Overlay Network!" they started shouting, a glow of orange engulfing the woman. This time, the vortex opened up above the two players as Gandyva became a brown line. They entered it, much the same as Double Lance from before, and the explosion of light soon followed.

"Warrior who leads his people, take up your Heroic spear to defend the land once more. Rank-up, Xyz change! Rank 5, Heroic Lord - Galakryzer" From above, a golden and white knight, quite a bit larger compared to the previous, descended. They held a spear the lenght of their arm in one hand, with a kiteshield in the other. Their helmet hid the top part of the face, with a vizor for the eyes, and a gray beard ran down from the face to the chest.

Heroic Lord - Galakryzer: 1500 ATK 2000 DEF Rank 5 EARTH Warrior

"When my Heroic Lord - Galakryzer is Xyz Summonned using an Xyz monster as a material, it gains 1000 ATK per Xyz material it currently has until the end of the turn." the woman explained Galakryzer's effect, the warrior grabbing the three floating orbs around them in his fist and crouching down. Energy seemed to flow into them, and their attack points shot up by a whopping 3000.

Heroic Lord - Galakryzer: 1500 ATK > 4500 ATK

Leander's eyes widened in surprise to see this "Xyz Change", and even more so when Galakryzer had 4500 ATK. A normal person would be scared, and indeed he was, but underneath that feeling lay something else... excitement. Leander couldn't help but bring a small smile to his face. Even in the face of such overwhelming power, Leander was having fun. "That is AWESOME!" Leander exclaimed.

The woman was clearly not enjoying herself, having the same blank stare as before on her face. "You might want to brace yourself. It hurts me about as much to do this, as it does to you." The woman raised up her free hand and pointed at Leander. "Heroic Lord - Galakryzer. Spiral Spear." she declared the attack, Galakryzer looking back at his mistress for just a moment. He then turned back and clasped his polearm with both hands, jumped up in the air, and launched it down at Leander.

"I activate the effect of Nova Barrier! When an opponent's monster declares an attack, I can Special Summon it and redirect the attack to it!" Leander declared.

"Pointless. While Galakryzer has a Heroic Xyz monster as a material, I can negate one Monster Effect activation once per turn by detaching a different Overlay unit." One of Galakryzer's orbs burst open on it's chest, and negated Nova Barrier's effect. The spear continued its trail. The woman's eye stopped glowing moments before impact, but the spear still stabbed itself through Leander and seemed to do some form of internal damage.

Leander felt quite a bit of pain from the finishing blow, clutching his stomach before falling to his knees as his Life Points fell to zero.

Domain (Portfolio) Description: Niciel has a strong proficiency over the powers of Light, from the light that comes from the sun and stars to the goodness of people's souls. With Purity, she can create, detect, and manipulate pure things, from the cleanliness of environments to, of course, the goodness of people's souls. With this power, Niciel ensures that things like darkness and corruption is at least kept to a minimum, if not vanquished entirely. She also possess powerful healing abilities, from removing curses, general healing of wounds, etc.

Alignment: Lawful Good

Personality: Niciel is kind and mature, always patient with others and always willing to support those in need. She greets everyone equally, fairly, warmly, and with a smile. She acts as a voice of reason with most other gods, and tries to keep everything in line. Even when she is mad or upset, not much of it shows, although one can still tell by her tone of voice and the aura she gives.

Description: Niciel treats everyone equally and acts as a motherly figure to all beings, whether they are deserving of it or not. She does her best to make sure no one is given unjust treatment. Even with chaotic evil beings, she tries to be gentle yet stern with them at first, and will use force only if the situation requires it. She maintains the peace with all beings she has jurisdiction over, including other gods. Even when fights and arguments develop, as they will do with any being, Niciel will ensure that it does not get too out of hand, and that a peaceful solution is reached.

Nice Mountains

Creation: Physical
Name: Nice Mountains
Description: A large mountain range with Niciel's purifying mist covering it. The mist is the main feature of the mountains, as it causes negative effects on those with ill intentions. The degree of negativity depends on how ill intended a being is, ranging from mere headache or slight difficulty in breathing for those with perverted intentions to downright incapable of surviving very long for those with murderous/mischievous intentions. It is currently a Holy Site, created using 4 Might.

Within the mountain range lies the Valley of Peace, the area the circular mountain range is holding. Inside, the weather tends to be peaceful. Usually it is sunny, though rain does come in from time to time.
Appearance: A circular mountain range that extends for many miles, both around and up. The mountains are partially shrouded by a pink-and-yellow mist.

Orbs and Wisps

Holy Wisp

Life: Species
Name: Holy Wisp
Lifespan: Infinite (does not die of old age)
Description: A ball of light that serves as Niciel's eyes and ears around the planet. Each one is capable of self-replicating by absorbing a small amount of energy from surrounding areas and then splits itself in half, similar to cell mitosis. They will continue doing this until they sense that there are enough of them in the area (usually about 4-5 within a 10-mile radius).

Each Wisp is capable of emitting a shaft of holy light that can either damage whatever tries to harm it or heal injured creatures. Wisps can also self-destruct, releasing a wave of holy energy that can also either heal or harm nearby life forms.

Holy Wisps have a hive mind, allowing all of them to know and learn what any new bit of information a single wisp has learned. However, they have low intelligence, which means they can only learn basic commands and how to avoid danger. Wisps are also attracted to the injuries of sentient living creatures, as well as their own kin, and will either heal or finish off creatures based on the circumstances.

Holy Wisps are quite fragile, so care should be taken when handling them. No one wants a Wisp to explode in their face, after all.

Orb of Escry

Name: Orb of Escry
Description: The orb that serves as the source of the hive mind of the Holy Wisps. Niciel uses this to guide Holy Wisps to specific destinations when she requires them to, and peers into this orb to learn what the Wisps are surveilling or have surveilled. Otherwise, though, the wisps are free to move as they wish.
Appearance: A ball that radiates pink light.

Orb of Holy

Creation: Physical
Name: Orb of Holy
Description: The orb that serves as the attack and defense mechanism of the Holy Wisps. Niciel can use this to have Wisps attack and heal specific targets, as well as to defend herself and heal others by emitting a much stronger holy light than what the Wisps are capable of.
Appearance: A ball that radiates yellow light.

Holy Tree

Life: Species
Name: Holy Tree
Lifespan: Varies depending on original species, 50-3000+ years
Description: Holy Trees grow and develop similarly to most other species of tree in Galbar. Most of these trees grow only within the Valley of Peace and the Nice Mountains, but a fair number do grow just outside the Nice Mountains. The trees seem to radiate an aura of power, although it seems to only cause chaotic and/or demonic forces to avoid them, and even that effect can be ignored by such forces if given enough effort. Their wood is slightly more durable and flexible than wood from other trees, which makes them a bit more of a hassle to cut down, but tools and shelters created with them tend to be better and longer-lasting. Their leaves also possess strong medicinal properties that can be used to treat wounds and illnesses. Yellow leaves tend to work best with wounds and injuries, while blue leaves tend to work best with illness, and pink acts as sleep and pain medicine would.
Appearance: Holy Trees retain a similar shape as the trees from which they were originally converted from. However, the color of the bark of the trees are instead shades of white, ranging from silver to snow white, while the wood underneath the bark is blue. Also, the color of each tree's leaves are a single shade of either pink, yellow, or blue. The color of the leaves and the original species of the Holy Tree have no correlation. Two similar species may have two differently colored leaves, while two different species may have the exact same color.

Angel

Life: Species
Name: Angel
Lifespan: 765 - 789 years
Description: Angels are beings created by Niciel just for the purpose of seeing them live and interact with the world the gods and goddesses have created.

-Growth: Angels are born similarly to how humans are: they mate, an Angel is conceived in the female, and it is born. Their babies and children are also indistinguishable from humans, as they are born without wings, and will not have wings until they reach the age of 16. As they age, their bodies continue to grow and develop similarly to humans as well until they reach the age of 18, at which point their growth suddenly slows down tremendously. As a result, Angels have an extraordinarily life span.

-Nourishment: Angels do not require food or water to survive, and not even necessarily sleep. Instead, a simple relaxation period is enough for them to survive. However, should they get involved in physically stressful situations like exercising, food, water, and sleep will definitely speed up their recovery. Otherwise, they may take even longer than humans to recover from fatigue.

-Society: Angels have a caste system based on their charisma, age, and power, their power ranking scaling from F to S. Those in the lower castes form the working class and tend to serve those in the higher castes. However, Angels are generally kind to one another and support others and their goals.

Angels have no concept of marriage, and instead choose mates to spend a certain period of time with. Both must consent to stay with and leave each other, and failure to do so is looked down upon for the offender. The act of creating children is sacred to them, and is considered to be the ultimate form of romance, not to mention that doing so essentially guarantees that the couple stay together for the rest of their lives. As a result, birthrate for Angels is quite low.

-Abilities: All Angels, except for those whose wings have not developed, are capable of flight. They can move in all basic directions and even hover in the air. However, it is not necessary for their wings to flap or anything of the sort; instead, it seems to be a magic-based ability.
All Angels are highly adept in holy magic. By imagining their desired scenario and concentrating on the power within them, they can harness that power and make their image become reality. While Angels can use all forms of holy magic, the color of their hair and eyes tend to determine the magic they specialize in.
Blonde Angels tend to specialize in offense, creating shapes from energy, such as swords or lances, to attack the enemy, or just firing rays and/or bullets of holy energy. These Angels are the fastest and physically strongest, making them very dangerous if fought head-on.
Blue-haired Angels tend to specialize in defense, creating powerful barriers that can stop many an attack. Their bodies are also the most durable out of all the Angels, making them great meat shields.
Pink-haired Angels tend to specialize in healing and purifying, being able to heal even fatal wounds, but even they cannot revive the dead. In addition, pink-haired Angels can turn their bodies into pink mist for short periods of time, although doing so wears them out greatly.

-Death: when Angels die, whether naturally or otherwise, their bodies turn into dust, as they are beings of solidified energy. This dust is surprisingly useful in many ways, from fertilizer to power generation, and more.

Appearance: An Angel's appearance tend to be indistinguishable from a human's, albeit a rather beautiful human. The only visible way to determine a human from an Angel is the Angel's wings. An Angel's wings are white as snow, and the size and shape of them vary for each Angel, although they are generally quite large. Angels have either pink, yellow, or blue hair. The color of their eyes tend to match their hair, and those that have differing colors are rare.

Heroes

Loth

Name: Loth

Alias: none

Gender: Male

Race: Angel

Appearance: Loth appears similarly to any other Angel that could be found in the Valley of Peace. He has white wings, shaggy blue hair, blue eyes, and wears a white robe.

Personality: Loth is one who rarely openly displays emotion. He stays calm and composed in most circumstances, and he tries to be the voice of reason. Loth is also shown to possess a strong loyalty to Niciel, and possesses remarkable intellect.

History: As one of the few Angels to be born by Niciel's power, Loth has always shown exceptional loyalty to Niciel. He joined a group of Angels to be the first to exit the Valley of Peace, although it was really more to protect them from threats and dangers. The group encountered a White Giant, which then began to attack the Angels, but Loth managed to fend it off and get the Angels to retreat back into the Valley of Peace. Niciel noticed this, of course, and saw fit to make him a Hero.

Time passed, and Loth realized that things were not right with the Valley of Peace. Things were too peaceful, and Angels were not doing anything about it. In light of this, Niciel granted Loth permission to learn more about the outside world and bring back the information when he returned. To help, Niciel granted Loth a set of items and a blessed White Giant with wings as a mount. After speaking with Falas, Loth set off to explore the world.

Alignment: Neutral Good

Items:
-A crystal that allows Loth to summon and control the White Giant he uses as a mount.
-A crystal that allows Loth to communicate with Falas.

Abilities: Unlike most Angels, who can use all three forms of Angelic magic (Purity, Holy, Barrier), Loth only possesses the ability to use only one form of Angelic magic: Barrier magic. As such, his power is mainly defensive and possesses very little offensive capabilities. However, his Barrier magic is the strongest among all the Angels.

Falas

Name: Falas

Alias: Brilliant Light, Commander

Gender: Female

Race: Angel (Seraph)

Appearance: Falas wears a suit of light plate armor, mainly colored yellow with pink and blue trim. She also wields a lance and buckler. Her hair contains three different colors: the left side is blue, the middle is yellow, and the right is pink. Her irises are also split into thirds, each one pink, blue, and yellow. The most striking part of her appearance are her wings, however. Unlike most Angels, Falas possesses 6 wings, each pair a different color of blue, yellow, and pink.

Personality: Normally, Falas is an honest and cheerful Angel. She enjoys seeing new things, and is friendly with other Angels. However, she is also known to display a serious side, especially when the situation calls for the Commander of the Angels.

History: Falas was the first Angel to discover the use of their magic, and the most proficient user of Yellow magic. Niciel, having seen her talent, decided to grant her and Loth the power of Heroes. Falas spent her days after that doing... not much, really. She usually moved from resting to training her abilities, but never moved on to other things. She was dissatisfied with her life in the Valley of Peace, but it was the only life she knew, and she couldn't really think of any other. That is, however, until Loth saw fit to change her life, and thereby other Angels', forever by giving her the goal of becoming the leader of the Angels.

At first, Falas was overwhelmed. She had no clue whatsoever about becoming a leader, much less the leader of her entire race. Nevertheless, she persevered, and over a long period of time, Falas gained enough support to become the leader of the Angels. Niciel, proud of her daughter Falas' hard work, decided to give her the power of a Seraph, transforming her into a powerful being.

Alignment: Lawful Good

Abilities:
-Magic: Unlike normal Angels, who are mainly proficient with only one form of their magic, Falas is capable of using all three forms equally.

-Color Characteristics: Falas also has the unique characteristics of all three colors. Needless to say, Falas is very durable, fast, and is capable of transforming her body into pink mist.

Items:
-Myremaster: the lance Falas wields. It is very durable and will easily hold up against the stress of battle. Using Falas' magical energy, it can also fire concentrated beams of either yellow or pink energy. Yellow will damage whatever it strikes, while pink does exactly the opposite.
-Novasylvyver: the buckler Falas wield. It is capable of expanding and shrinking at will of the wielder, allowing Falas to block a wide range of attacks. In addition, it can create a blue barrier around Falas, and potentially others, by using her energy.
-Artrogen: the armor Falas dons. It's quite durable and light, but beyond that, there's not much that's special about its physical capabilities. However, the armor can also transform itself into the standard white robe that most Angels wear, making it quite convenient. The armor also contains the two-way crystal that Loth had given to her to communicate with him.

The Lonely Tavern (Open to all)

Alia looked at him quizzingly. She had no idea what he was trying to say, nor why he was acting so nervous. She wasn't threatening him or anything. "I'm suggesting that you take the bed, of course, at least for now," Alia said. "You're still exhausted from the overuse of magic, right? Just lie down and take some time to recover." Alia smiled as she added, "I'll be with you and make sure you're recovering nicely."

As Edric did what he did, Alia was reminded of the old days with her master. She had been in the same state from overuse of magic, and her master was the one who brought her back to some comfortable place to rest up. Even when she feebly tried to complain that she could go on or that she was being babied, her master simply gave her "the look". And here she was now, doing more or less the same thing for someone else. Alia thought it was pretty funny and couldn't help but smile at the thought. Time certainly passed.
