My rant(s).

People refusing to roleplay with me because I have a low post count. Listen, I have been doing mostly PM roleplay since I got here, and on top of that, I assure you I have lots of experience. Quit judging my skills just based off of my time on this site, jeeze.

Secondly, and this is no one's fault, really. But it sucks working on an advanced interest check for several days and then having no one bite or show any semblance of interest. I even made a bloody map!

I feel you, Gimple. Really, I do. I used to try and make RPs all the time, put in system. Go out of my way to give people as much control as possible, add stuff to make the worlds more interesting. Work on flavor text and ultimately in the end at best to get like 2 people interested, whom realistically I would of rejected due to the quality of their CS submissions back in the past. Honestly, Cost of Magic is the first RP people have actually turned interest in.

It's like cooking over an oven, placing the pie on the window side in dodgy part of town and then coming back to find a letter saying "Nah" on top of it. It's one of the reason I went off RP'ing for like a...a year way back. For what's it worth. I thought it was good, I almost joined even but I I questioned if I could commit to it properly with my own one and RL stuff as well.

Kaiju War Chronicles [Revised]

I have never played Arena games nor have I ever watched a kaiju although I played war of the monsters.

I'm up for this, even if no one else takes this up I'm up for it on a 1 v 1.

Well, we got some luck. I think we might just get a break when we're very old to see space travel but nothing what it would be like if we had own ships, you know. Virgin open up a space visit trip called Galaxy but it costs a hell of a lot and uses some new kind of transformer plane/space ship hybrid, you also got to under go astronaut training or something. That's not inter-planet but its commercialization of things exclusive to astronauts, maybe if Mar One is successful galaxy will set up some sort of vacation to mars and we can all overthrow the oxygen taxing government/corporation.

Still, it's a real boot up the ass of my hopes and dreams of being a legit space fairer. I want a rebirth of the colonial days where Europe went "holy shit. We can use wooden ships to go to places" but with space ships. It's also be great that if I get really sick of a places shit I literally have infinity to fly into. While now I got to go home and watch cat memes.

VR stuff coming out dulls the pain though.

This is an odd thing to bitch about but what gets me is that realistically I would of been dead 40-70 years roughly before the idea of personal spaces ship become a thing and individualist space expansionism takes place, unless bionics becomes really good at keeping old people going I'm never going to get to fly around in a crappy, low grade death trap and jokishly call myself Han Solo.

The current state of affairs doesn't lift my spirits for a new space race either, especially after that whole shirt fiasco for the comet landing. My only real hope that a modern space race culture will take place if Mars one mission is successful but I'll be shifting past middle age before I know that or not.

God Speed you magnificent bastards none the less.

That's a good idea, but don't force it. We'll do it naturally as we go along. I just need to adjust how I write, I also got to be honest. Between being sick and not sleeping well for a while now, I may be RP'ing gin so cut and dry because my head is muffled.

@babbysama Sorry I haven't gotten around to checking up on you in PMs, man. Between RL, getting sick and checking other PMs I got confused a bit about stuff I still had to do. I don't have a lot of experience in GM'ing.

We should talk a little, I'll help you with anything you need one on one if you like.

That goes for anyone, if you're unsure. Just PM your ideas and I'll help you brain storm.

EDIT: oh and, no one HAS to refer to the 3 factions. Those are just some big ones that been about, so your guys might of had meet them in passing once. They're also just examples. I don't expect you to follow them as example of how it "should" be done or consider them key parts. They're just some input in order to help other people get faction concepts and hooks.

The faction in your own CS can be totally your own whether it's a town, a guild, a group ectr.

Yes, I am going to be honest. Gin is a dogmatic person and I have a bad history of not being able to make my character split from their dogma a little, in terms of religion and tone. I think you are right, perhaps though that can be a part of his personality though. His aggressive nature can make him overly reserved to whatever crap he believes.

I might make him slip up a bit more from now and show his quirkiness.

Deadly, yeah. Conflict is what I meant, I don't think anyone really made a bold enough statement in character points to really create it though. I sort of tried to do that with Gin when he went ranting a little but it seems writing play are a bit different for the hooks we use. Xikari seems to be an adventure player and I'm used to psychological, slow scenes. So I'm trying to drop subtle things that slow stuff down and Xikari- whom is being a good gm by the way via doing this- is keeping stuff moving constantly.

So, it's a little of pacing shock on my end.

I think that, our characters aren't meshing too well. It's not bad but we can do better. Maybe we should talk about possible stuff we can do to make their interactions a bit more spicy?
