Name: Comma Monadi

Age: 21

Height: 6” exactly

Weight: 140 lbs

Appearance: Comma is obviously a fairly tall individual, but for her time, she’s on the shorter end of the scale. She’s also fairly attractive, with a darker skin colour indicative of someone of North African heritage, with hazel eyes and almost pitch black hair that she keeps tied back in a ponytail. Otherwise, her lips are full and she has quite a toned body type, and her legs are quite obviously muscular, but her arms are noticeably lacking in this department.

Clothing wise, she was transported whilst in full DJ kit, so she’s wearing a pair of ankle-high sneakers, tight-fitting but still breathable trousers, a short white tank-top, over which was a combat jacket, and, obviously, a pair of headphones. Everything is coloured a light blue colour, with the coloured parts looking like they’re almost flowing through the getup.

Personality:

Comma is a pretty active person, it must be said. She did athletics throughout her childhood and has good reaction times, but has truly abysmal strength, but this doesn’t bother her. Her job was really all about standing in once place and doing very little lifting, so these skills have atrophied a fair bit, but her charm hasn’t faded.

She’s a very in-your-face individual as well, a side-effect of working as a DJ for three years, and doesn’t tend to let up when she gets going, which can be both a boon and a curse depending on the situation she’s in, and this is reflected in her fighting style, which mostly relies on being able to confuse her opponents by being in about forty different places at once, then stabbing them.

History:
Comma comes from a world where the rules are… A little different. The universe has a constant rhythm going through it, known as the ‘beat,’ and certain people are either ‘beat sensitive,’ and can feel the beat, and others go a step beyond and are ‘beat reactive,’ where they can tap into this underlying power for their own benefits. It is possible for a beat sensitive person to become beat reactive, but if you aren’t born beat sensitive or reactive, then you’ll never feel the beat. (Yes, I’m gonna make a ton of puns.)

Comma is beat sensitive, as are most DJ’s. Because of this, she can essentially feel where she’ll be more powerful; where the beat is strongest, beat sensitive people become more powerful.

Comma was born in a fairly average family. Two mothers, one father, with both of her mothers being biological. Whilst only her father was beat
reactive, she was lucky enough to inherit part of his ability, giving her some, but not a lot of advantages.

Her headphones: A nifty piece of tech these are, and a bloody expensive piece of tech too. They function as a pair of headphones, speakers and mobile phone, and can fold up into a handy pocket-sized… Half-headphones. Pretty bulky nonetheless.

Switchblade. It may be called a switchblade, but it’s 6 inches long and bloody sharp, so there you go.

Cash: Well, more specifically a debit card. Bank of America, nothing flashy. She’s pretty broke right now, about $320 dollars on it.

Her ID: Driver’s license. Might be a bit useless what with the fact that her DOB is in the twenty second century, but maybe if you don’t look too hard you can sort of get away with it?

Solar charger: Never leaves home without it. Plonk it down, unfold it, and it can charge her headphones up in half an hour if there’s enough sunlight.

‘Supplies:’ Actually just a few crisps, a chocolate bar and an energy drink.

So. I'm sitting here shitting some sentience when I realize that I can just post the finished items list here and you guys can PM me your choices. Would be a lot more, motherfucking. faster and easier.

Also, Fetzan my good sister from the supper has already posted her accepted character sheet. Maybe you guys can talk about characters that might be fun to RP as the game goes on. I mean, they can't know each other due to there being more multi-dimensional dickery than a lovecraftian porno.

but it might help you think of a direction by thinking about synergy. Apart from that, I'd say go with something that fun. Hell, you can even just be yourself. It's really that open. But you know, you can get hurt and die in this game, be a bit strange to see yourself die if you did in a failed roll or fight or something.

The sheet is almost done. Right now I got 12 items for you guys to pick from.

Picking items will be done in PM in sequence: first choice: lady Selune, Ekilpse, Fetzan
and repeat for each choice. This is so that everyone has a chance to get items and also so people won't immediately pick the best items together. It helps add to the randomness.

Note that all items are linked to a curse, so before you pick think about the horrors that might come with it. Not all curses are funny.

I also want your guys opinion on the best way to do this. I'm willing to flex on the platform and where we will meet up. If the time zones become an issue, although I want us to not do it on the forums

I'd like it if we can use a platform that we can make considerable progress within an hour or a night-and chat based stuff allows us to do that- I think you all will feel me that while I like forum RP the length of time between post does seem to give large chances for it to fizzle out or people to drop. Willingly or not.

Roll20 is the immediate thing to come to mind, but if you guys know any other methods just let me know. It most likely will not involve a lot of maps and purely exist in text form. Just because, it's easier to set up and movement rules really won't be implemented. It will all work in "scenes"

I would like us to have at least 3 at all times, I'm ok with it becoming 5 people. If you are worried that won't have the time, no one will look bad at you for dropping out.

I don't DM alot in real time. I've done some zombicide games but that's it. So, expect me to be a bit absent minded. But I'll get the hang of it you guys can be patient with me.

you're allowed. 5 mundane items: this includes coat. backpacks, flash lights. Food. A simple dagger all that stuff.

Your items have to be thematically appropriate: if you're an office worker you ain't going to be carrying survival gear as you walked about.

you may however carry something useful in the civil world like say. A buss pass, maybe a laptop or an iphone. A credit card/pay pal with under 400 bucks on it. If you do have military/cop ties you may not have anything bigger than a hand gun to begin with.

even if you just say you lost your automatic in the multiverse jump. each ammo or clip takes up a slot too. Keep in mind that, since you may be in civils area too. Items that seem useful can be a real pain.

A guy walking around in low class body armor for example in broad day light with a pistol will properly alarm everyone around you and get the cops after you.

Are the basics. Keep it relatively short. You brothers can properly gauge short reasonably. But as a rough outline don't let put too much stock in it since your character will start in transporting to other multiverse. With earth being the first one. But a vague rule is try to keep it below 5 paragraphs.

I'm just working on the items now. I'm doing them in like. a CYOA deal. So it's more fun to shop them. But for now.

The point rules are: all your points start at 1 for free. You got 18 points to spend on your stats.

A new system is that: if you have an item and you gift or someone else takes it from you by killing you. They get the gift without the downfall of the curses.

You guy can be from any universe. Even established universes. Like you could be from mass effect but power wise you could only be one of the NPC's from standard throw away merc or gangs. Or you can be something totally original or whacky or whatever. It's all cool. Although you're character personality and background should be original.
