Dragons are interesting. They rang a great deal from proper dragons to Wyverns to something called a Zilant (which is pretty much a Deviljho).
GODDAMN IT, its only one more day urban until monster hunting season is open, i dont need to be remined of EVIL JHO already! XD
It doesn't matter how long you live or what games you play. Deviljho will always be right around the corner, waiting for your succulent ass.
Gonna throw out a few questions... I couldn't help but notice there's less female characters, is it cool if I write up a female elf with Nemean lion companion? Are we allowed to write lore if there hasn't been any established yet? For instance not much is currently known about the orcish tribes and I've got some cool ideas that I think could work in the setting. Obviously any lore-heavy posts would be run by one of the mods How often would you see a dragon in jikaris? Or anywhere else in Tithe? What power and personalities do they have? I just can't stop thinking of Smaug when it comes to dragons ... :(
From what I gather from the bestiary, Nemean Lions are pretty much just regular lions except they put in a cheat code to activate invincibility. I don't know how Maxx would feel about one being a companion. Personally I dig the idea, but you should think up a contingency idea just in case it doesn't fly by him. He'd also know more about orc tribes, not me. As for dragons, it looks like they were once plentiful, but civilized expansion has pushed them into lower ranges. Doesn't look like they're the intelligent kind from the description, just your average, fire breathing, cockbite flying lizards. We are not closed to the idea of submitted lore. At least, we shouldn't be. Run it by Maxx when he gets back and work out whatever compromise you can, and everything will be fine and dandy in the end.
Still slowly working out my characters, bouncing back an forth between the two. And I'm adding two females(well, Dryads) to the mixture :3 The genders are spmewhat imba currently
You and them pesky Dryads.
Made the necessary changes to my sheet. I also (rather generously might I add) made him an inch shorter due to the ever-increasing demand of non-giants.
Taking initiative. I like that. Kudos.
Guys, if there was anymore salt in this thread I would have came back to get some for my steak.
Pepper Steak. I hope you fuckos are ready for the bugs in the desert.
Calm down, mortals. Your god is here. @SirBeowulf Sheet looks good, but it's a little light. I think you should try a little harder in the personality and appearance sections personally, but they're acceptable I suppose. When you say longsword, however, what kind of sword are you referring to? While in a lot of MMOs a longsword is one-handed, in real life they're generally two-handed weapons, which don't seem to fit Tazzano's style. If you're pressed for a sword, I would suggest an arming sword, as it was generally used by knights in the medieval periods and was fairly long. It's funny that you say his last name is Ferdinand, because that is the surname of the King of Talbor. The Ferdinand family has ruled in Talbor for about 75 years. If you wanted to change Tazzano's backstory some and have him be related somehow to the King of Talbor, you can, though you certainly don't have to.
doggonit. His sword is a mix between a longsword and a rapier. Really, swords have a bunch of the same names and are really confusing. A one handed sword, just like the arming sword would suffice. His off-hand weapon is about the same length as a machete, maybe a bit longer. As for his family named... should I change it? It might seem a bit confusing. It would ruin his amazing name, though.
If you make him related to royalty it'd be all the more material to work with along the way in terms of subplot devices. I say go for it.
Ah, but the sheet does not say disadvantages, it saws weaknesses. Even if it did say disadvantages, stating that fighting your character in this style would end up with both of you pretty badly wounded isn't a disadvantage.
By that stuff, I meant that his weakness was that he had no actual defensive skills. If you want more, I've added a bit on him being fairly pampered as a noble, no real skills or knowledge of things outside his field of work.
I'd say it's fine. Don't know about the other guys. Oh, oh, give him a magic-induced flower allergy halfway through the game, that'd be hilarious.
We're about to do a high fantasy roleplay with fantasy races, impossible magic and all that, but... GASP... SOMEONES HEIGHT ISN'T REALISTIC IN A FANTASY RP?! OH MAI GAWWD STOP THE PRESSES, THAT'S JUST UNACCEPTABLE...! OH THE HUGE MANATEES! Being sarcastic mind you. XD Just think it's funny. Impossible races, impossible magic, but we have to abide by height physics because it would be unrealistic if people were very tall? Wat? Did I miss the meaning of a fictional fantasy?
Too many tall people and we won't have enough folks to fit into the War Tunnels. Personally I don't give six dicks how tall folks are. You can all be shawties or longies, but in the end, you're still gonna get shot in the ass.
wordes.
Righto, I forgot there was a whole size chart on the front page. Also that people were shorter back then. I was really intending for him to be two or so inches taller than the average man, not a whole five or six. Also added onto his disadvantages, but aren't limitations a disadvantage?
What's wanted moreso in weaknesses should be tailored to your character personally, something the can be used against specifically them. Like an allergy or a past injury. Come to think of it, I haven't seen any characters with any allergies. Huh.
Clamped down on his prosthetic, limp and loose. Clifford eased up his stance with Aubrey locked down on his arm, numb to the bone. If he could smile, he certainly would right about now. He raised his other hand and patted it on the unconscious Aubrey's head like nothing was wrong. Pap, pap. He turned and started dragging the transformed Aubrey out towards the Main Holding gates. He waved for Jesse to get back up and follow him before the onlooking werewolves decided to go ham on the two. Jesse quickly picked up the shock prod and hurried behind Clifford, locking the gate behind the two as they made their way outside. Clifford was hauling Aubrey along with seemingly no effort. Unsurprising, for a man of his stature. Jesse merely followed along, observing intently, making quick glances back at the caged specimens. They made their way to the extraction rooms. Time for a professional demonstration of the company practice.
