Bozak

“You ask Bozak why he walks? Well, why does anyone walk? Standing and sitting are boring. Walking takes you places. Good and bad places, but, still places. Is better life than settlers. Is best life for Bozak.”

Bozak descended the stairs leading into a subway station, keen on checking out the immediate interior. More often than not, these types of city constructs were used for shelter purposes. Metros and transits across the nation were prime locations to settle within. Safe from outside elements, easily defendable, hidden away, all the like. But for many, the tunnels of the underground were too unsettling to reside within. And almost every city Bozak had been to so far, there was always something lurking in the darkness amidst the rails.

He paced along the concrete walkway, noting the scattered papers and luggage. He checked a few, but he didn’t find much other than spare clothes and impractical baubles. Cell phones have no place in this day and age. He checked the bathrooms and the offices – more useless crap, and the first aid kits had been picked clean. Oh, well.

The subway tunnel. Bozak took a peak down both ways, seeing no indication of a hostile presence or any settlers. He considered wandering down one of them but, that never turned up anything useful. When there’s lights in the distance, you know there’s folks ahead. They always built their hovels in the slightest view of the exit so they wouldn’t get lost, and so that escaping was easy, if escape were necessary. No lights mean either nothing was down there, or whoever were down there wished to remain especially hidden. And Bozak wasn’t up for disturbing anyone in the unfamiliar darkness at the moment. New city, new lessons.

He emerged from the station, out into an open area a little deeper into the city. Buildings reaching upward, cars strewn about. Mixtures of grays and browns and faint greens. Something pretty in all of it, when you stop and look.

But stop for too long and it all disappears.

Bozak kept moving, shotgun drawn, weaving through the cars, looking for more and more things to pilfer amidst the ruins.
@Penguin I sadly may only be able to be on for an hour a day., is that okay?

Also, two little kids that like to blow stuff up? That would be lots of trouble for Adelaide. "Well it WAS a forest, we may or may not have burnt it down." Though Graham is not that friendly to people, - People are annoying,- he might actually like Atlas.

I can't get back on til' tomorrow, bye.

The pooch is mine. I have claimed him. Ask @Horrid, he'll admit it.
Just gonna make a note here that @Horrid and I are going to pair Bozak and Atlas together. Just so that's out there.
Bozak

Somewhere on the outskirts of New York City

Got a doll baby, I love her so,
Nothing else like her anywhere you go
Man, she's anything but calm,
A regular pint-sized atom bomb

The radio played on as Bozak sat on a toppled concrete pillar and searched through a pilfered satchel. Scattered around the ruined section of the street were the bodies of five “raiders”, as was a common name for their type. Some moments prior, Bozak and the party had stumbled into the street from opposing directions, and hostility quickly ensued.

“Toss your weapons! Everything!”

“Bozak refuses.”

“Right NOW damn it!”

“Bozak. Refuses.”

“RIGHT NOW OR WE’LL FUCKING SHOOT.”

“BOZAK. REFUSES.”

It didn’t end well for them. The thing with raiders is, they’re not patient. Oftentimes they’ll come running to get at their prey quickly rather than wait them out, like smart folks would. One by one, save for the two that rushed in together, but they all fell nonetheless. Nothing beats a shotgun waiting around a corner, and Bozak had taken very good care of his twelve-gauge over the years. Good for killing, not as much for talking.

Atom bomb baby, little atom bomb,
I want her in my wigwam
She's just the way I want her to be,
A million times hotter than TNT

The raiders didn’t have much on them. Must have been a dry week. Not even any ammunition for either of Bozak’s guns. One of them was lugging around the radio though, plus a bunch of cassettes. Fun thing for settling down at a campfire maybe, but Bozak wasn’t intent on taking it with him once he was done with his looting. And speaking of such, the satchel he was sifting through had proven to contain absolute bupkis. Just some ragged cloths and empty bottles. He tossed the satchel aside and stood up from his seated position.

Atom bomb baby, loaded with power,
Radioactive as a TV tower
A nuclear fission in her soul,
Loves with electronic control

New York City was a big place, though. He was sure to find something worthwhile on his trip through. Just had to keep going.

Atom bomb baby, little atom bomb,
I want her in my wigwam
She's just the way I want her to be,
A million times hotter than TNT
I posted a character, was I not supposed to? I don't see it anymore.

Yours is still on OOC page one, don't know if Penguin has accepted it.

But, dude, a ten-year-old handling a heavy AR? He shouldn't even have working arms. Or shoulders.
Ignoring the implication that he's burned down several settlements and is responsible for the murder of many yet feels no psychological repercussions at such a young age.
I might change mine to NYC. I have no idea how I'd get Lonely from Texas to New York.

He finds a barn with an old pilot dude living on it, punches him in the dick, steals the biplane hidden in the barn, flies to New York, crashes the biplane into the Empire State Building, survives, continues with life as though nothing happened.
<Snipped quote by SepticGentleman>

I saw a few of you were starting off going to NYC, so I put myself in the middle of the action. James is pretty well hidden, but if he sees anyone he'll probably run up to them immediately. He hasn't seen ANYONE in basically ever. It's a miracle. As far as he was concerned, he was the last person.

Don't let it be Bozak then. He'll be very disappointed when the big man doesn't greet him, just pats his head and tells him to stay in school.
Bozak is ready to murder good and party strange.
Good thing we all just naturally gravitated to NYC. Don't have to bullshit my way across a few states to get in the meat of things.
so... anyone that is not a alone at start type want to pair a char to Patrick?

Why would Patrick need to tag along with anyone? He's a big boy now, with his superhuman body and senses, and his melding his brain with the computahs.

He can handle it.
