About
I go by Sarge. Im in my mid-twenties. I don't identify by gender. I've been RP'ing on other sites but just moved over here in hopes the community will be better. I consider myself Advanced but I'm not terribly picky. I'm comfortable writing a novella or a sentence (though the later rarely happens).

Malazan Book of the Fallen

I just started re-reading that series. <3

The way it works: You play a character, yes, but you also control a faction.

Gotta be honest not really loving this. I understand why you want it this way... Still, I'm probably not going to join if this leans towards the NRP direction.
Depending on the character limit I was thinking of making either an Aes Sedai/Warder (it is all dependant on how many we get of one or the other) and/or one of the Red Hand.
@aviendhaYou could probably use the search function to see if there has been any other Wheel of Time Rps and maybe see if any of those people are interested?
I might regret joining another RP, but you have my interest.

I second this.

  • My only real misgivings are towards the abilities section. In terms of the Fujioji clan bojutsu, it'd be nice if we could get a feel for what exactly would make it a distinct style? Nakazono may not have a grasp of it yet, but surely he has at least been drilled on the principles behind it for the day when he would supposedly begin proper training in the style? As an example, neither Mikoto or Ria have master Murakumo-ryu Ninpo or Mi-enshin Kaiho respectively, but there's an inkling there of what may come about in the future given future training. I'm kind of going to give you a break on the Focus & Skills section off the strength of the fact that he's gimmick at the moment is that he "sucks".

I've thought long and hard over this and I've come to the conclusion I have no idea what you want from me. You use the word "distinct". I find myself unable to make a "distinct" style because I have no reference within the Naruto universe of any bojutsu fighting other than what the Third Hokage does. And I think the Fujioji clan is already different than that because of the size, shape, and usage of the bo staff. If there's nothing to compare it to how can I make it distinct?

You also mentioned "an inkling of [what's in store]". What are you looking for? A list of unique Fujioji techniques? Are you looking for a rough outline (E.G. Fujioji's use their natural chakra type to augment their abilities. Some who use fire add fire attacks while attacking with their bo staves to add more damage.)? Because all the Fujioji clan does is use ninjutsu with their bo staves. Most probably use their bo staves over ninjutsu sometimes. So I'm not really sure what you're looking for in terms of what's to come.

FYI- Totally not upset/angry or anything. Just not getting what you want.
@Gowi@Sloth@RyoRyoRyokenI made the edits that were requested of me. I hope everything is good now, but if not I'll keep working on it. And for everyone's FYI all the bojutsu techniques have videos attached so if you're confused just click on the name of the technique and watch a video. :D Because I do admit I've never fought with a bo staff and I'm probably not the best to explain each technique.

Ty's sense of direction lead her unerringly to the gas station. She poked her head over an abandoned car and watched two Zombies slowly move. They were between her and the gas station. Which wasn't good because the pumps were right there in the open. Ty tightened her grip on her gun and took a few seconds to plan her next course of action. She could make some noise and then skirt around the area while the dead were distracted. It would give her a few minutes to get gas. Which meant she needed containers and first. And maybe robe so she could carry more than one gallon.

Ty nodded her head and set off again, making her way slowly around the walking dead. She paused just around the corner of the station's store and poked her head around. She waited barely breathing as she Zombie slowly turned away from her. Without giving herself a chance to second guess herself she dashed to the door. She opened it hoping against all else that it wouldn't chime.

Ding-ding

The melodious tone of the sensor was apparently in working order. Ty cursed as she pulled the door shut behind her. The closer zombie was already turning towards the door. Ty cursed again and looked around for anything that could be used to keep the door shut. Not that it would stop the freaking zombies for long. Glass wasn't as good as a solid wood door. Watching a zombie go through glass was a real stomach turner. Even more so if it was the only thing separating you from the hungry dead.

Ty looked for anything that could work to tie the doors together. When she came up short she let go of the door with more curses and stripped off her belt. With quick movements she tied it around the doors and none too soon as the zombie walked right into the glass. Ty wasted precious seconds waiting to see if the thin leather would hold.
Sorry about that guys. I feel ill and spent a lot of time in bed. But now that's over with (thank goodness) and I'm getting up a post a.s.a.p.
@Sergeant I don't speak for @Gowi (though I reckon he probably is of the same mind here), but the comments on the clan size were basically just light ribbing. More or less a comment on the fact that the family tree you've outlined is bigger than most people would be bothered to put to page. That's not a bad thing by any means, though.

This was a rambly way of saying: Lighten up juuuust a smidge.

As a general observation: I was not upset, just really confused. I added the rest of it as a comparison because I just could not wrap my head around the concept that my clan was large. Lol.

Anyways, if it was just ribbing I can understand that.
There's something hilarious about stating that the Fujioji aren't a huge clan, then having an absolutely massive family relations section.

◈ You have succeeded about making a small less noteworthy clan of traps seem large and relevant through the extensive description of Nakazono’s immediate and extended family.

I'm quite frankly stumped on how you both came to the conclusion his clan is large. I listed about 20 people in his immediate family. If you'd take out those who are dead there're 16. Since the are three families in the Fujioji clan we can assume their numbers would be about the same which brings the number to ~ 60 if we wanted some wiggle room. Maybe 100 if you really wanted more.

That's a pretty small clan especially compared to some clans like the Uchihas. Who probably number twice that. Maybe even three times especially if you're counting those without the bloodline (those who married in, etc).

In a town as large as Konohagakure they probably wouldn't even make up 1% of the population. Keep in mind it takes about 160 people to maintain a stable population without breeding in generic birth defects. The number can be fewer if you don't care about the purity of your bloodline and intermix with other clans.

And as for them being important.... I'm not sure how I might have given you that idea because they have no real standing in policy making or any decisions outside of their own clan. I might have to add in that they're more solitary as a clan, they like to keep to themselves. Sure, they're important to themselves but isn't every family?

Anyways. I'll get started on the edits you guys want.
