Fate/stay Night - War of the Fourteen Magi - High Casual - Alternate Universe

I'll place my interest, and I like the idea of being able to play just a servant. I'm thinking of one legend that could work as Archer or Assassin, but do they have to be premade or can I use fan-made servants?

As he spotted the incoming projectile, he fought the instinct to stop in his tracks and instead forced his legs forwards while shifting his centre of mass downwards, causing him to slide underneath the cannonball with the barest of margins. Pushing himself back into a crouch, he angled his run so that he drew closer to her. His thumb flicked a switch on the side of his rifle, the lights near the end of his weapon turning purple as a vial of Gravity Dust clicked into place.

He managed to raise his weapon in time as she fired her second shot, firing a bust at the incoming cannonball. The gravity dust infused into the shots ignited on contact, the resultant forces knocking the iron ball off-course to smash into the ground to his right. Seemingly un-phased on the outside, Venator was very glad his on-the-spot gamble worked out, or he would have taken a mass of iron straight to the face. Taking advantage of the time between shots, he ran towards her at a shallow curve, hoping to keep her pinned under rapid bursts of gravitationally-assisted gunfire.

Typically wearing Smart-Casual clothing, James doesn't like to dress like a slouch, with a focus on jeans and leather jackets over hoodies. His slim frame is dotted with various tattoos of different meanings, including a Grim Reaper on his left fore-arm, a pair of mechanical wings on his right wrist, a 3d dragon perched on his left shoulder blade and two wolves, one black and one white, fighting over his heart.

Polite but quiet and anti-social, James doesn't really present himself much in a casual environment, and he's very much the type to disappear into the background without anyone really noticing. He can present himself if he needs to, when he's working and whatnot, but it doesn't persist after he leaves work. He has few friends, and even fewer close ones, and he's almost always seen alone. This doesn't bother him much, as he feels uncomfortable around large groups or spending prolonged periods of time with others.

Those that get to know him can learn he is actually quite opinionated underneath his quiet exterior, and like to debate with people he is close with. The only people that know this, however, are living on the other side of the ocean in the UK.

James is heterosexual, but while open to a relationship he isn't actively looking for one. While some people believe he is more interested in a physical relationship, the truth is a string of failed relationships as a teen has damaged his self esteem to a point that he feels mostly unwanted.

● O R I G I N S T O R Y ●

Born in Colchester, England, James had a fairly average childhood. Born to married parents Adam and Victoria Carrigan, he is the eldest child of 3 siblings, two younger sisters named Naomi and Sam. An intelligent young man, He finished his GCSEs with A* and A across the board, while also being involved with the local detachment of Air Cadets as well as learning to play the violin to grade 6. He enrolled in a Hi-tech Engineering course at the local technical college after leaving school at 16, completing it 3 years later with high enough grades to be accepted into University. He has an A2 Motorcycle licence since turning 19.

Instead of going straight to University, he decided to take a gap year and travel to America for a year. After a few weeks travelling, he settled into Verona, with the intention of staying until the start of the next educational year. He took up a few odd jobs to make ends meet, such as a mechanic, store clerk and bartender at some of the less reputable bars. While travelling, he also started as a graffiti artist under the handle 'Zero', so he's a regular at the Gallery in his free time, when he's not shutting himself in his apartment or riding around on his bike, a 125cc Suzuki Marauder.

After mysteriously falling ill from the strange illness that struck the town, he recovered three days later with seemingly no differences. Strangely, some of the residents of the town start to get headaches around him, but he doesn't understand why.

His power completely cancels out the powers of other Mundanes. Telepaths can't read him, for example, and any attempt to do so results in a mild to searing headache to those that try, depending on how strongly they try. This is a reflexive ability, but he can activate it at will when he becomes aware of it.

As he becomes more aware of his power, he can expand the range of his power to cover larger areas, or focus on specific targets at a distance.

● W E A K N E S S E S ●

Physically, his body isn't enhanced in any way and his powers cannot negate any effects not directly linked to the usage of a Mundane's power. Elements that weren't directly summoned by a manipulator can still harm him (like fires or electricity) and physical objects like knives or guns can still injure, maim or even kill him. Projecting his power is also draining to his stamina and extended periods can cause him to blackout and collapse.

Having prepared for an attack, Venator dived to the left to avoid the attack. Rolling with the action and using his momentum to carry him into a crouch, he raised his weapon to his shoulder and let out a long burst of machine gun fire before getting quickly to his feet and moving.

He briefly toyed with the idea of using dust-infused rounds or even his semblance to end this quickly, but decided against it. He didn't know enough about his opponent, and he could end up giving away more than he stands to get back. For now, he'll use regular tactics until he had a better idea of what he's dealing with.

As Venator stepped back into the arena, clad in his combat attire and adjusting the bracer on his left arm, he raised an eyebrow at his opponent's choice of weapon. Ordinarily, he's pass it off as a regular instrument but the context heavily implied it was anything but regular. Nevertheless, he switched his weapon out of it's compact carry mode and into its ranged Assault Rifle mode before he stepped over to his starting place and held his weapon in a ready position. He gave his blonde opponent a slight smile, confident but subtle.

"I'm lucky I have such an attractive sparring partner. Best of luck."
