Bio

My Name is Shadow Daedalus, but I will accept pretty much any diminutive form you can come up with. I am active in the GMT Timezone, and I mention this to help coordinate posting times with others.

I like to RP things with fighting and grit, but chilled out RPs are good too. I'm a little out of practice, so my writing style falls anywhere between Low-Casual and High-Casual.

Wide range of tastes, like Sci-fi, Modern, Fantasy and Historical. This also includes a diverse range of Fandom content, especially Games and Anime.

I don't usually play more that three characters at a time, and I'm more comfortable as a male character, but I might try to expand more in the future, you'll have to wait and see...

Not very interesting, so feel free to ask me questions :D

@vancexentan I'm working on something now, keep your head on
@CadenGallic

Using the electrical stun effect to his advantage, Venator bolted towards his target as he fired off a stream of Ice-laced bullets, the freezing effect serving to further immobilise his opponent. As he got close to Pazice, he swept his leg around and kicked her legs from under her before pressing his boot into her ribs, hard enough to keep her down but not hard enough to cause severe pain. He lined the sights of his weapon to the spot between her collarbones.

"Surrender."
@CadenGallic

Venator barely had time to react as she fired. He side-stepped just in time to avoid the worst of the blow, but it was still enough to knock him backwards and off his feet. Rolling to recover as quickly as possible, he put his weapon back into rifle form, quickly raising the weapon to load Lightning-type dust and fire off three retaliatory bursts, one in front and two on target.

With any luck, the increased velocity of the bullets would grant him a few more hits, and the residual electrical effect would stun or at least slow the girl down. His goal of using as few tricks as possible getting further and further away, Venator was still hesitant to rely on his semblance if he didn't know more about Pazice's fighting style. After all, the right semblance could counter his completely, which would be a serious problem.

@vancexentan@Turboshitter Those points make a fair amount of sense, so I'll probably just leave it be
@vancexentan That's why I ran it past you first.

My justification is that the elements my character is aligned with are Fire and Earth, which deal with energy transfer and embedding respectively. The process itself is similar to reinforcement (a simple magecraft that even Shirou could handle), but instead of the mana strengthening the object, it instead embeds his origin into the object. Because it is his origin that allowed James to use his unique magecraft, I figured it wouldn't be too much of a stretch.
@vancexentan I didn't realise the IC had moved on. @mentions don't work if they're edited in after posting.

I wanted to run something by you before I added it to my Character. James can imbue physical objects, like his swords or the bullets in his guns, with his mana, which gives them the same effect as his unique magecraft. He can use this skill 4 times a day, for up to 5 minutes each time.

Interacting with: Disguised Man (Saber) @vancexentan, Amina @Phase Transit

As the hand landed on his shoulder, James turned his head enough that he could look at the man in the trench coat out of the corner of his eyes but didn't turn around. He observed the man, his eyes searching for every detail he could make out... although he was faintly aware of something blocking off anything beyond physical. Tall. Confident, almost 'knightly' stature. Anachronistic mannerisms. A Servant, maybe?

"Honour is a tool, nothing more, and one that I have no need for. I care little for your sentiment, but I'm not stupid. I am extremely outnumbered by enough magi to potentially level this city, without the weaponry to fight them. I do not plan to start anything but these..." He gestured to where his handguns were hidden. "...are because I don't trust the other masters or the church and I'd rather have something to fight with if needed."

He kept his tone level and cold as he spoke before he turned his head back and walked inside, uncaring of the man's response. He glanced at his partner for a moment as they walked, unsure as to how to approach the subject. While it wasn't the first time they had partnered together, They had never been involved in something this vast. Dismissing the thought for now, he turned his attention to the large hall in front of him. Unnoticed by any of the other masters, the pair had arrived to catch the tail-end of the Overseer's speech along with the following discussions between the masters. Raising an eyebrow at the concept of the allying and forming teams, he turned his head to where Amina was standing. He kept his voice low, to avoid catching anyone's attention, but loud enough that she could hear him clearly.

"14 Master/Servant pairs. Meaning 12 potential enemy servants and at least that many human enemies, maybe more. While forming teams would definitely make it easier to reduce enemy numbers, it can also work against us should they stab us in the back. I'm not a fan of those odds, especially with two Assassins running around, So I think a small team is out best option, may be 3 or 4, but It's your call."
@vancexentan

Sorry about not being able to post, I've had everything from college work and my job to christmas shopping and relationship problems getting in the way. Although, it would be appreciated if I was tagged in a few things that require my attention

Interacting with: Amina, Lancer @Phase Transit

Although he didn't show it, James took careful note of the restraint in Amina's hands as he grasped his own. He was aware of her physical attributes, but it wasn't hard to tell from the strength he could feel, even if she was holding back. The corner of James's mouth lifted slightly as he appeared to adjust his coat, brushing back the sides of his coat to reveal his armament, careful not to let any of the others see.

"I understand, but we've fought mages before. Most of them rely on magecraft as a crutch, so It's hurts them a lot more when you kick it out from under them."

The sound of approaching foot steps caught his attention and he swiftly moved his hands, letting his coat fall back over his weaponry. He watched wordlessly as the approaching man announced himself as a Master before disappearing into the church, a eyebrow raising on the hunter's face as he did so. James turned back to the swordswoman in front of him.

"He seemed far too nonchalant for a man entering a war... Regardless, we have two objectives for now. Ascertain the purpose of this meeting, and summon your servant. Lancer is on standby outside, but we should hold off on your summoning until we find somewhere more secure."

When he finished speaking, he tapped into the telepathic link between Lancer and himself. "Lancer, remain by the gate. Interact with some of the other servants if you deem it prudent, but be careful to avoid giving away any important information." As he was relaying his instructions, he pulled the gun on his left leg from its holster, chambered a fresh round, and replaced it doing the same to the gun on his right. As he pulled back the slide, he held it for a moment as he looked back at the Ossetian witch.

"Let's go, shall we?"

And with that, he let the slide go, a bullet sliding into place with a satisfying metallic click before he slipped the weapon back into its holster and pulled the scarf a little looser from his neck.
