@Ace of flames01 you can just stay on the ground then
Glodin had grown tired of riding after four days. His ale reserves had run out the night before and his patience was growing thin as he had no idea how close they were to their destination. Glodin stirred his mule to catch up with the Knight-Captain just as a scene up ahead came into view. Glodin was one of the first to jump from his mount to join the fray, but one of the last to reach the fight. As Glodin made his way through the horses and ran to the fight he stopped next to the wounded officer who was the last of his group. Glodin barely noticed that the fight had ended before he could take a swing at a single cultist, his eyes were on the beast leading them and its familiar broken teeth. As the beast fled Glodin hurled his hammer past the Knight-Captain and at the beast, only to watch it miss by less than a yard of the beasts head and slam into a tree. "YOUR HEAD SHALL BELONG TO ME, BEAST!" he shouted aloud as he readied himself to catch his hammer which came flying back to his hand.
Before krovah goes down, Glodin wishes to fight him one on one even if only for a few brief moments.
I shall post tonight after I return from work. I have been busy all day.
Us dwarves got each others backs when it comes to not being able to reach things!
After making sure all the horses (and his mule) were tied to posts and secured, he walked inside the tavern just to move out of the way of the Knight-Captain's exit. Glodin qyickly ran over to the barkeep and pulled out a small flask from his back pocket. He took one last swig from it before handing it over to the barkeep. "Fill 'er up my good man, with something strong enough to keep me warm on a cold night." As he spoke he placed a few gold coins on the counter and waited for his flask to be filled. Taking his flask back he looked the bartender in the eyes, "Sir, I wish you best of luck in the hours to come. It will not be easy and I want you to know that I respect you and your townsfolk for being strong. This town's name shall live on long after the walls crumble." He gave the man a firm handshake and left the tavern in time to watch his captain behead the prisoner. "Damn I should have volunteered to slay that beast." As everyone began to mount up he saw a fellow dwarf having trouble reaching the stirrups of his horse. He walked over and without a word interlocked his fingers together and gave his brethren a boost onto the back of his steed. With a nod and a smile he trotted back over to his mule and mounted up to get into position.
@TheDarkTemplar im here
Just been busy
@OtomostheCrazy makes alot more sense now that thats cleared up XD
@Zetsukoyou might want to change "swordsmanship" to "combat" or something, because I'm pretty sure swift stabs and swings work all that well with axes and war hammers.

EDIT: oops. I meant @Zelosse

Actually, swinging a sword and axe feel completely different as they are weighted and shaped differently. Axes and hammers gain power from centrifugal force and usually differ in effectiveness depending on what side you use. A sword is more flexible but lighter and weighted more for smaller more controlled movements (not counting greatswords and some long swords).
