As an aside, if you guys wanted to see a list of the effects of your choices, the effects of your choices are now visible in the first post of the OOC under the "Our Clan" section (which will be renamed after we name the clan). This new section is at the bottom of that post, beneath the picture of half-naked dudes on horses. I've shoved it into a hider.

EDIT: By the way, folks, we're ALMOST DONE with this vote series. I just need one person to send me a second terrain choice and I'll be ready to tally things up.

So, I figure now is as good a time to re-explain the last vote section and also talk about Storm Giants.

I've got the big events surrounding Storm Giants in my head, but haven't put it into the computer. I'd intended to explain what the Storm Giants did in this current question set before writing the two current questions, but, uhh... I goofed.

Instead, what I'll do is add a lore tidbit on the Storm Giants at the end of the voting process.

The final voting round will involve two open-ended questions. Instead of tallying votes, I'll be choosing my favorite of your submissions, and I'll give you guidelines on what I'm looking for. Don't worry, the guidelines aren't super strict. You'll see what I mean when the next round is upon us.

The present voting series ends at 3/22 at 6 p.m. Central. I dunno when I'll be home, so 6 p.m. seems a safe bet.

Pretty much, yeah. It's more curiosity than anything. Each nation could easily have their own name for it, even, but I figured I'd ask.

Something just occurred to me...

What is the name of the planet? Or is it effectively just called "the world" at this point? Would anyone call it, say, Earth or <Insert other name>?

Real world names for Earth have always revolved around, well, the earth itself. Earth, Gaia, Terra... Etc. Though Gaia was a personified thing in Greek mythology...

Exile

The reign of High King Harlaus over Urland has proven to be a polarizing one. Some have compared him to the bad kings in the eternal darkness while others have compared him to Urak himself. For better or worse, he has united the many clans under a single banner, subjugating his foes with his mighty army. For whatever reason, some dissidents have been banished, our clan among them.

Why has our clan been forced into exile?

This land we have found, this Hidden Valley, is a beautiful and idyllic place. We have suffered greatly in our journey, but perhaps this place makes it worth it. Some think this is merely a sojourn whereas others believe this could be our new home.
