They say it's about the journey, not the destination. This is true of many things. Pizza delivery is not one of them.

TFW you know what you want to happen but the words aren't cooperating. Why is plot suddenly so much harder to write?

Bio

I am an adult, though I don't usually act like it. I'm a voracious reader, and not overly picky about books. I am artistic in a variety of areas, including music, drawing, writing, and sculpting. I have a minor obsession with dragons, and love the color violet. Fantasy is my preferred genre, be it past, future, urban...as long as it has a fantasy flavor to it. I also like scifi, mystery, and some horror. I am crazy, and I like tormenting my characters. But I don't bite...much. ^.~

Or me! How will you talk to me (save individually, which is no fun)?
@Lovejoy yes I noticed. Which is super creepy, and probably hurt. A lot. She couldn't have been born that way.

And this after the description that said she was born with heterochroma, too.
It does mean that Ziotea targeting a rival Inquisitor's catalyst is less viable, since that'd be dangerous to herself and her teammates, but...she'll figure somehting out. Taking it away from them should work just as well.
@Lovejoy
@CollectorOfMyst well I mean reality seems warped there, so it's a possible explanation (though not the right one, I'm sure). I personally like the idea of it being a massive magic bomb that just...KOs everyone in the area. Maybe with a side of hallucinations/reality warping for a little bit.
oh man, so much for destroying a catalyst to depower an inquisitor...And this also makes Essa handing hers over less of a Big Deal (yes, Ziotea considered destroying it).

hey, if it's known that destroying them makes reality warping stuff, that totally explains Omestris.
@Lovejoy Trust me I understand. I"ve been super depressed and I don't even wanna get out of bed. Hang in there, Love! *snuggles*
oh look it's a post. A short post...but a post.
By the time they reached town, Amuné was slightly more comfortable with Ethan, if only because he seemed to be trying really hard to be nice. That was good, right? But she reminded herself that smiling faces could be lying. She should leave. She would, once she had a few things so she'd be okay on her own. Flint. Steel. A bag...did she dare steal food too? She shouldn't need that much. Her parents should come find her soon -- she was sure of it.

The town didn't let them in at first. When they did, she saw that it was a tiny place, even smaller than Pinesgrove. The nice healer split off, and for a moment Amuné thought about going after him. But she didn't really want to go inside, even with Adrian. She was uneasy -- she hadn't been in a town since....

The girl shook her head, trying to dislodge the awful thoughts, and buried her face in Wyth's fur for a long moment. The other child seemed to want to go as well. Was he running away too? Maybe she should stick with him -- he'd understand better, wouldn't he? But someone approached them before she could act on the idea, a young woman with a staff, saying sharp things and asking about her parents.

Amuné took a step backwards. Images flickered across her vision, too quickly to make sense of. She was glad when the foreman arrived, and took the woman's -- Freya's -- attention away. "Wyth, his name's Wyth," she said softly at the accusation. "And he's a good boy, he protects me." She wrapped her arms around the moorcat's neck and smiled unsteadily when he nuzzled her face. Would they make Wyth leave? She wouldn't let them -- she'd rather go than be separated from him. She'd find another group of travelers, or maybe she could sneak into a town, or...anything rather than let him be turned out while she stayed. Tigers was scary, but not as scary as being alone among strangers. Even nice ones.
@Lovejoy Nah it's just Zt being all "you're missing my point, kid". She won't actually devote herself to any gods because the gods don't deserve it. <3 You got nothing wrong.
@lovejoy

Zt: That is not what I said. At all.

But hmm, it does make me wonder. We've only hearsay of hearsay to indicate that Asherahn was evil. And given that Omestris was...apparently more than a bit nasty herself....Iunno. Pretty sure most of the Remnants are less than stellar, but it's a harsh world and they fit it.

I didn't realize that the Omestrians still prayed to both gods. That's interesting. Kinda odd, if he's supposedly wiped from history -- is he remembered or not? Possibly foolish. Possibly sensible. But interesting. That or the people of the Hand means a specific group of Omestrians, not all of them.

And the Lanostran goddess fought for a while, but then she surrendered too. T'sarae surrendered. Omestris...it's unclear what happened, right?

Nice post all around. <3 @collectorofMyst, you're welcome to have Oren make it back. And...if I'm slow posting, I apologize. My muse is being very fickle.
