@Sigma; here's a few ideas for some shared history; if we share borders on the cosmographical map.: At one point the Federation and the Hegemony were unaware of eachother's existence; and the Graal would most likely have stumbled upon a Federation world while colonizing new solar systems. The Graal, who have no desire to seek peaceful relations with weak willed humanoids launched a series of attacks; orbital bombardments and planetary invasions of the Federation's colonies ensued, with a blitzkrieg of the Graal legions that overtook the small planetary garrisons, the Graal threat seemed magnified when the Federation discovered, at the that the Graal; even when outnumbered and outgunned, do not surrender and do not retreat. For the first six months, the Federation failed to materialize a victory until Federation high command intercepted Graal communique's indicating they were intending to invade larger, more industrialized Federation planets and staged an intercept at their rendezvous point. This sneak attack; the saw the destruction of the Graal High Command; and in the next two years the Federation; utilizing stolen Graal radio commands destroyed two of it's Legions and reclaimed it's planetary holdings, returning the Graalo-Federation borders to the status quo.That was just an idea I saw in my head. Take it apart. Add stuff. Subtract stuff. Tell me what you think.

Naasu

Race Name: Naasu
Race Info/History: The Naasu hail from the World of Naaoi, a world of monsters. It is a world where the days are short and the nights last for days on end. The Naasu are a timid and cautious species, having to survive a world where great beasts prowl through the Fungal Forests, hunting them since the first tribes emerged. For eons they had to survive in secrecy, hunt while the beasts were unaware of their presence. As such, the Naasu, through their evolution, developed defense mechanisms to make it through the Long Nights. Glands that enable them to bend the light of their surroundings, making them invisible to predators.

When hunting for food, the Naasu lacked tools, as such, they developed biological weapons, within their tendrils are poison stingers that, upon command, are injected into their prey, and depending on dosage, can paralyze their prey or slowly shut down the heart and brain.

Upon contact two hundred years ago, the Naasu Tribes were relatively easy to integrate into the Federation. The federation proving itself worthy of their loyalty when they were giving the gift of technology, conquering their world. The Naasu are one of the more peaceful species of the Federation, rarely do you find Naasu among the ranks of the military, however, the with the Naasu's abilities, they are often assigned to the Rangers.

Religion: The Naasu Religion is a Monotheistic one, Niantism, centered around the worship of Ni'shek'to, the Illuminated One.

Ishkaarans

Race Name:Ishkaarans
Race Info/History: The Ishkaarans, native to Ishkaar, are a mammalian species with two sets of arms, a larger, dominating set of arms, and a much smaller set around the chest area. They have quite similar beginnings compared to humanity, slowly advancing through their own ages. Stone, Bronze, etc. Fought Holy Wars, World Wars, Civil Wars and the like. Despite the alien nature of them, they can relate with humans on many occasions.

Four hundred years ago, they came into contact. The Ishkaarans were in their post-space age, colonizing their Moon of Roan, and had established Space colonies. However, they were also in the middle of a Interplanetary War. The the Roan Colonists had demanded the Right to Sovereignty, to be their own nation. The nations of Ishkaar were not so keen on the idea, and so war sparked.

The Federation was caught between a rock and a hard place, and for the time being, stayed out of the conflict. For seven years the war waged, Ishkaar's orbit now a ship graveyard from fierce battles waged. The war took it's toll on the populous on both sides, and the people of the federation could not stand by much longer and sought to put an end to the hostilities. For another two years they met with leaders of both sides, slowly trying to convince them to cease the fighting and join in hands with the federation. Many had objected to the proposal, but many others saw joining the Federation as an opportunity, like the Uarshi, the Ishkaaran's technological would jump forward hundreds of years with their aid. It came to a final decision for both sides to sign a Peace Treaty to put an end to the war, followed by Ishkaar's membership into the Federation.

The Ishkaaran People, like humans, are a resilient, resourceful sort, using their enhanced skills in mechanics to a great advantage and are expert drivers, pilots, etc.

Religion: The Ishkaaran Religion is Polytheist, where they worship a Pantheon of Four Gods. Sinnaria, Goddess of the Void(Space), Qinsorin, God of Light(Sun), Isino, God of Kaar(Earth), Unaqia, Goddess of thee Depths(Water).

Uarshi

Race Name: Uarshi
Race Info/History: Native to the Arid World of Uarsh, in their earliest moments of evolution, had their beginnings as tunnel-dwelling creatures, similar to ants. The ancient beastial ancestors of the Uarshi however, were forced out of their tunnel networks from viscous predators, namely, the Urgok Rock Worm. Forced from their habitat, the Ancient Uarshi had to adapt to the surface of Uarsh, and it of course, was a slow process.

As the ages pass, the Uarshi were soon becoming the Apex Predator of Uarsh as many tribes spread across the planet and dominated. They're intelligence grew and grew as a new caste was born a hundred thousand years ago from present time, the Soldier Caste. Soldiers were the first step in their evolution, as they developed into a Hunter Gather Society. These bipedal variants led way to the establishment of civilization.

The Uarshi are divided into four castes, the Queens, Soldiers, Diggers and Drones. The Queens are at the top of the Hierarchy, by far the most intelligent members of the species, they of course, are responsible for the leadership of the Hive and maintaining the population. Below them are the soldier castes, the most populace caste, compared to Queens, they are about the same in intelligence and sentience, the Soldier caste is by far the most diverse in given tasks. Not only do they serve as guardians and warriors, but also serve as diplomats, workers, and even potential Queen replacements. Often times, a number of female soldiers are born into the hive to serve as heirs to the hive, should the previous queen meet an unfortunate fate.

Diggers are descendants of the Ancient Soldier Castes, what they once before. Now they serve in creation of tunnels and structures for the hive. Drones, the lowest of the castes serve as the main worker force, and in times of war, as weak, but numerous soldiers.

A century after the Federation's foundation, Humanity had come into contact with a world emerging in the Industrial Age. Their beginnings were shaky at first, but soon came to trust one another. Despite their differences, a majority of the Uarshi Queens sought fit to align themselves with this new Federation, and so, joined hands with the humans. With their technology, the Uarshi's space age jump forward tenfold, colonizing dozens of worlds. However, this comes with it's own troubles. Many Uarshi remain at odds with the Federation's Democratic Ideals even today. Such as a growing movement to grant Drones basic rights like all members of the federation, only a minority of Uarshi are in favor of such a measure.

Despite such glaring disagreements. The Uarshi are the most industrious citizens of the Federation, forming of core of it's Military Industry.

Religion: Uarshi are rarely the Religious sort, there was a time Queens were seen as Living Goddesses, but such sentiment has died out as the times went on, However, it is not uncommon for a more philosophical Soldier Caste becoming a Devout of other Alien Religions within the Federation, although they are a rare breed indeed.

Technology

Earthquake Gun

The Graal War has taught the Federation a harsh lesson in warfare. The Federation was ill-prepared to defend it's worlds from the onslaught of the Graal hordes, their ships free to roam orbit unhindered. In the Aftermath, the Federation sought to correct this, leading to the creation of the gigantic Earthquake Gun, a Railgun Artillery Installation made for the task of defending worlds as a both Heavy Artillery, and Anti-Orbit defense, capable of switching out varied types of shells for such purposes.

Surface Barrier

Along with the Earthquake Guns, they alone were not enough for the surface defense of the Federation's worlds. The Surface Barriers followed suit, a single one is capable of shielding a whole city from orbit bombardment. Now close to sixty years after the Graal War, nearly 98% of federation cities now maintain a Barrier Tower in case of times of war.

Combat Stimulants
Combat Stimulants, or "stims" as they are commonly known is a special type of enhancement drug taken by Federation Soldiers on the battlefield. Once injected, an Federation Soldier on stims benefits from greatly increased speed reflexes, muscle density, the ability to deal with high stress, and overall effectiveness in combat.

History: The Federation's Origins date back a thousand years ago. After the Singularity War, the Outer Colonies fell into disarray as they lost contact with Earth. Factions among the Outer Colonies went their own way, giving up any prospect of liberating Earth, and going about life as usual, and preparing for the inevitable Machine retaliation. As the years pass on, the threat of the Machines was fading away from the minds of the colonists, two hundred years after the fall, the worlds of the Outer Colonies begun to fight amongst themselves, leading to the Unification War. A conflict that would last twenty years, which also ended with the sole victor, Aurolia. From the ashes of war came the United Aurolian Federation.

For the next few centuries, the federation set out to create a new destiny for the Human race, for at the time, they saw themselves as the last remnants of mankind. Discovering and settling new worlds and as time went on, they slowly grew to forget Earth, the war, everything. It grew from History, to Myths and fables, of valiant knights defending the Cradle of Mankind against the Machine Devils that Humanity spawned.
