The New Dawn Cell was always out of the hundreds of cells all over the planet at most risk, they were among those that couldn't afford to be based in hidden bunkers and the like, and often had to make due with what they had and what was given. Although it was a great risk in establishing camps all over the slums, the Cell could do more then just fight a war, they also helped the impoverished exiled communities trapped outside the wall, both out of the goodness of their hearts and to find potential recruits, needless to say, such a task was not difficult.

The New Dawn Cell were based around three field bases, one of which was a whole city block, code named Delta Base, and it was under heavy attack. The APEC had the rebels surrounded, shelling the fortified block with repeated rocket strikes, unfortunately for APEC, the artillery strikes ceased, the rebels having somehow sneaking past the blockade and wiped out the artillery position, but it was no matter for the APEC Commander at the helm.

From a short distance, the APEC Commander, a woman around her mid thirties, observed the rebel base with a pair of binoculars, taking notice of the jittery sentries, she smirked. "Heh, can't hide forever traitors, I will be coming for you."

"Commander Walton." An APEC Officer spoke up from behind her. "Shall we proceed with the assault?"

"Do what you must Captain." She replied.

With that, the Captain pulled out a small device. "We are green, I repeat, we are green, commence the attack." All around them, the roar of engines could be heard as they flared to life, several Justicar gunships rising from the ground as they soared towards the base, firing off bolts of plasma at the outer barricades, all the while on the ground, APEC soldiers equipped with Tactical Combat armor marched down the streets, supported by Crusader Tanks and APCs.

"Let us end these heretics and traitors."

New Dawn Rising

Little memory remains of the Great Cataclysm, the event that tore apart and forever altered the old world, the world we once knew. How it started has yet to be seen, and remains as the greatest mystery of our time. However, as the years go on, centuries, even millennia, the facts of the event's origin and its going on's grew more murky, many interpretations springing forth, the truth now seemingly lost forever.

But we did not let this fact deter us and let the past chain us, we simply rebuilt our world anew. And marched on forward.

Despite the drifting memories and various versions of the tale, they all share this, we were told as children that the Earth was once the beating heart of great Empires, spanning worlds just like our own, the stars above were once ours to rule. It was the Golden Age of Peace and Dominance for Mankind, but something terrible happened, a great war was waged between the Empires of Mankind, leading to the Great Cataclysm, a great blank in history, followed by the Age of Darkness, the Earth was scarred and broken, and fell into total chaos for many centuries to come,

The Age of Darkness, however, came to an eventual end, as Warlords rose to the power, and at their helm ere the Technologies of the First Ones. These Warlords banded together as they sought to bring stability to the world once more, this period of foundation became known as The Hundred Year War, as parts of the Earth was slowly brought into the Fold of the new kingdoms.

Over a Millennia had passed since the war, and although the founder kingdoms had long since fallen, the Order on the Earth has slowly, but surely restored, New Nations rise from the ashes of the Old World and in place of the Founders. Mankind and its children may be witness to A Second Golden Age, leaving the past behind us once and for all, but that may not be so, for Mankind is quick to forget the sins of the past, and through their personal ambitions, bring war to our scarred and changed home once more.

Welcome to New Dawn Rising, an NRP set in a Post-Apocalyptic(well, rebuilt) Earth in the very far future. After centuries of chaos, Order on earth has been restored, giving rise to new nations on this Changed Earth. Not only have land masses sunk, but the the environment has gone a bit wonky as well, regions that could've been heavily forested have now become deserts, or swamps, as well as the reversed.

In the new world, baseline Humanity are not the only ones to control the planet, human offshoots and various other races have emerged, all descendants of an age of heavy genetic modifications and engineering, be it common civilian technology or military and corporate experiments set loose.

There is one thing however that I'd like you the players to decide, the setting's tech level. For such a world, what do you think would be most fitting? The Middle Ages? Mid 20th Century? 21st century, veering onto near future? Or do you have a suggestion unique from the others?

And any questions need asking?
