Not sure if anyone brought this up. But will we be able to see who's online and who's viewing what thread soon? I know the site is under construction, just wondering if we'll see a return to that.

Crowned Republic of Esmaria

Government Type: Monarchical Republic. The Crowned Republic functions differently then most democratic nations, in that while they elect their leaders, rather then a lone person, the entirety of a Noble House is chosen to be the Ruling House of the Republic, the current Matriarch/Patriarch of the Elected House is chosen to become the Head Sovereign of the State. The rest of the Major and Lesser Houses then form the Royal Assembly, whom both act as the Advisers of the Ruling King/Queen, and help govern and enact laws of the republic.

Yes, what do they specialize in? Are they a Freelace mercs? PMC? A group of terrorists? Are they renegades of any sort? Do they engage in piracy or act as an Independent Intelligence Agency. Anything really.

As for Affiliation, yes, if they were a say, an elite branch of a military. Black-Ops, or even just another military unit. Or Mercenaries who are under permanent employment.

A few other questions/notes:
1.Etherium enables magic, right? If so, so is it like a focus you cast magic through? Does it have to be touched or consumed to unlock magic?
2.Do you want every nation to be player-made? While it does sound quite nice, not having a preset political situation will make the story hard to make and follow.
3.Do you have a clear direction this RP will go? As for now, it feels like there is none. While player-made nations and organizations are nice, (the latter I approve of), this RP currently feels kinda.... empty... without that "hook" that really catches peoples attention.

1: For it to work, it must be consumed, the energies would then flow in the body, the user now wielding the powers of the ore. And in very rare cases(1 in 100,000), the etherium energies can be passed down to later generations, permanently.
2: Well, kinda yes, but, NPC nations are not out of the question.
3: At the present, not now. But I will think of something. However, we'll need more players before making deciding what that will be.

It all began many centuries ago, when the world entered a new industrial age. It started with the discovery of the mysterious elemental ores known today as Etherium, a mineral with powerful properties, if consumed, fuels the individual with untold power at their bidding. Manifesting the worldly energies around the tip of their fingers, at their command. It was thought of as sorcery in it's simplest terms, and many ways, they are correct. The Ore itself is Magic in it's rawest form.

Then as Civilizations grew more advanced, the curious soon discovered the ore was a perfect source of fuel for machines as well. Nearly replacing all other forms of fuel, ushering in a new age for the world of Adrius. Etherium soon became the driving force for the next millennium, and in that time, the world emerged anew, more prosperous then ever before, it seemed a Golden Age was to dawn on this new world. But, such things cannot last for eternity. Hard economic times have fallen, nations begun to squabble over Etherium Deposits, some even looking to the colonized moon of Qodra for salvation, by less then pleasant means. An Age of Strife has begun, and all out war is on the horizon, what actions will you take to survive these trying times?

As said, the rp's setting is magitech. The ore Etherium being the source of most fantastical magic and sorcery and the main resource of civilization. And to explain, the hybrid style role playing being that players have many options to play as. From a lone character, a small group of them, an Organization and even nations. You the players shall craft the world.
