Nickname: As far as everyone is aware, he's given people his middle name and not first. Teachers have addressed him by Donovan or "Mr. Ryder", for reasons your characters will discover soon enough. He hasn't made friends but for people that needed to call him by a name (may it be for a group project or something of that sort), Max told them to call him Don. Once the cat's out the bag, people will probably call him Max or "Prince" since he's the Prince of the Fashion world.

VBR has a heavy focus on wedding apparel, lingerie, and womenswear and is known for being one of the best-selling French brands in the world, with additional collections of beauty products, accessories, bags, and shoes.

Role: Loner to Potential King -- yes, even for a Junior (his true reputation is high up there). Max has paid the school to keep his identity under wraps, using a persona of Donavan Ryder. He chooses to stay at the bottom of the hierarchy and doesn't talk to anyone unless he has to. Once Evelyn transfers, his life will be turned upside down.
In Depth Appearance: 
Up until Evelyn transfers to BHHS, Max has long messy brown hair that covers most of his face and wears unfashionable dark clothes (which he is very aware of). Aside from the loser look he gives himself to hide his identity, he is the same height as his half sister standing at 5 ft and 10 inches but weighs 158 lbs. Although he's an artist, his father makes sure his son exercises and keeps up with his image when he walks out the Bellerose Estate as Maxwell and not Donovan. Well aware that his son strongly needed a break from the limelight, Mr. Bellerose has used social media to his advantage, making his son a rather mysterious figure: Where's the successor of the Bellerose fashion label?! Is he in Italy? Japan? Netherlands?! Who knows! He's doing big things and we can't wait until he makes an appearance at the next big fashion show! Watch out world! There's going to be a new collection! I can feel it.
The way Max looks online compared to how he presents himself at school are completely different, which shows he's pretty good at putting on an act, hiding himself right under people's noses. Not believing he's one for the spotlight nor thinking he has any acting capabilities whatsoever, Max's demeanor is more of a lone wolf, who intentionally avoids crowds and people, for his own mental peace. There are no piercings or tattoos on his body, due to the fact that his father believes such things would ruin his image completely. Mr. Bellerose was already against the whole attend school and hide who he was to the masses idea, believing someone of his blood should take pride in his family's name! Luckily, Max's mother was able to convince her husband to allow it, setting strict guidelines, rules, and regulations, that Max had to accept. When Max presents himself as the successor rather than "Donovan Ryder", he is one hell of a sight to see. Well kept, clean cut, and highly fashionable, it's obvious he got his father's genes. Max Jr. is required to be a walking fashion statement when he makes appearances. Without his long hair, his tone body and attractive facial features are definitely noticeable and lack of smiling only makes him "cool" on camera. He's not rip, but he is fit in a healthy sense, even though one of his guilty pleasures is indulging in pastries, cake, and other delicious treats.

Nothing like any of his sisters, one being crazy driven in a overbearing way and the other one being YOLO personified, Max is calm, cool, collected, and just doesn't want to be involved in petty drama. He prefers avoidance or scaring people off with a cold stare. Eve tells him he has a strong aura that says "royalty" but he doesn't believe her, more often than not doubting his potential. He's very oblivious to his own charm and leadership skills. There was a time when Amity received hatemail that made her cry. Lets just say, Max dealt with the sender personally. When it comes to his loved ones and protecting them, he would go lengths for them even if he doesn't necessarily agree with their methods. He's a simple guy, really, with simple needs and wants. As long as he has time to himself where he can draw under a tree and possibly fall asleep, he's all good.
Overall a nice guy, Max does not realize how narrow minded he can be when it comes to choosing his loved ones over other people, regardless if his loved ones are in the wrong. The fact that he was raised in fashion has shaped him up to be a little judgmental on other people's looks but he doesn't often offend people like his baby sister might--unless they ask for his opinion. He's good at holding his tongue and saying the right things when the time needs it. He doesn't like hurting people so he tries to keep his opinions to himself, most of the time. Oddly enough, he isn't afraid to tell a love interest how he feels even though he hasn't dated much in his life. If he is really into someone, he will woo them tenfold, which he'd like to think he gets that from his father who is kind of the romantic.
Right now he is struggling with being ready for the responsibilities that are drawing near, Max already knows he's the successor of V.B. Rose, but that's pretty fucking scary when you feel like you can barely take care of yourself. He doesn't enjoy an abundance of attention nor does he want to be his father's puppet, but at the same time, he wants to become something more than what his father is and that's A LOT to live up to. For now, he'll just sketch and think to himself about this crazy, little thing called life.
Always a man of fortune, Maxwell Bellerose Sr. had a father Psychiatrist and a mother surgeon. He spent a decent amount of his life trying to become a surgeon like his mother but instead found love in Fashion and the Beauty of Women. It also helped that he sewed and drew designs during his spare time, having little to no rules or restrictions growing up. Using his money and any resources he had, Mr. Bellerose was determined to fulfill his dreams at all costs. His goal being: become a renown figure in the Fashion world. The easiest way to do that was to get his outfits noticed and use his family's money to influence people. Soon enough, he became a judge at Project Runaway, and made one of the biggest connections in his life that led to him creating the Velvet Bellerose brand. Driven individuals can achieve anything if they set their minds on their goals and look away from distractions.
During his climb to Fame, Mr. Bellerose met the beautiful Émeline, who was actually one of his first models for his debut collection (and an amazing opera singer). Without a second thought, the wealthy man married her, not revealing that he was a despicable man whore, even if he truly loved her. This is a summary up until he reached the age 33/34.
During one of his major Fashion events, which was being hosted in Rhone-Alpes, France, he met someone far more intriguing than anyone he's ever known (more so than his wife and that's an incredible feat to achieve). She was a married woman, but this wouldn't be the first time Mr. Bellerose had a secret rendezvous with a "committed" woman. His life that seemed to be only about work and being successful felt thrilling for once and he truly considered leaving Émeline to be with Cyndi Harding, this bodacious 21 year old that rocked his world. Of course, good things had to come to an end as she pushed him away, stating that it was her duty to dedicate herself to her husband. With her gone, the man still thought about her face, curves, and beautiful personality everyday and hated the fact that he had to accept these circumstance. By pure dumb luck, an incident happened which attached her to him forever... she was pregnant with his first born daughter. To say he was happy would be an understatement. Maxwell Sr. was a selfish man of wealth that claimed his muse by impregnating her, he was elated. They kept in contact and he made sure she would never forget that he was the man of her heart. Shortly after that, back in Paris, France, his supermodel wife, who devoted every fiber of her being to her husband, conceived a baby boy for him. His first son. The successor or V.B. Rose! Having this euphoric bliss of being a father, he didn't stop after his son, he couldn't. Talking it through with his wife, they decided to have a "second" child to keep Maxwell Jr. company as he grew older. A year after Junior was born, Amity followed soon after with a bright, dimpled smile.
All Maxwell Jr. has ever known was to keep a fashionable image, work for what he wanted, know he was better than most people, and to be just like his father. While Max went everywhere with his dad, Amity was growing into this talented, charming icon for media and teens. The Bellerose were a dynamite family in terms of wealth, fame, and reputation. Around Amity's 10th birthday, when he was 12 years old, they discovered there was more to their father than him being a workaholic. A man by the name of Van Harding got in contact with Mr. Bellerose and that's when Max Jr. discovered he had a older sister named Eve. Unable to comprehend that his father had a major affair behind his sweet mother's back, the boy decided to brush his feelings under the rug and make sure his mother kept positive, strong, and always had a reason to smile.
When Max was 14 yrs old, with his mother's help, he was able to convince his dad to let him attend BHHS but in the shadows--hiding his identity completely from the students that attended the school (staff members and teachers knew, but no one else). The alluring factor to this proposition was that the Bellerose successor would become a media mystery and people would be dying to know where he was (WHERE'S WALDO?!). There were terms and conditions that the boy had to agree on and as long as Max obeyed his father's wishes, he wouldn't get pulled out of school and thrown into the working life of a fashionista. For most of his teenage years, up until present day, he stayed in contact with Eve. Recently, the aspiring designer has discovered that she is considering transferring to BHHS and he doesn't know how to feel about that.
