It's ok.

I was tired and drunk when I wrote that. Looking back, it's a miracle I only made one mistake.
There is no feeling in the world worse than a GM having a problem with something you've written.

*sigh*

I'll delete that whole bit.
Woodswatch. A small collection of buildings unfit to be called a town and not friendly enough to be called a village. If Woodswatch had a slogan, it would be "Welcome no no-ponies-land. No houses are welcome here." Skywhistle had already got funny looks from the inhabitants when she came last night. The innkeeper she gave her bits to was no less frosty. They didn't hate her, she told herself, they hated her gilded hoplite armor. They hated the Stormwing crest on her bronze shield. They hated the blue and brown dyed hair in her helm. In all likelihood, her armor and weapons were the only thing keeping ponies from gathering the courage to pick a fight. None of them hated her.

She longed to regain her honor. She would get strong urges to fly back to Rainbow Dash and beg her forgiveness, and plead for a warrior's death. She was already getting sick of the Woodswatch folk hating her for wearing the fruit of every labor in her life. She had worked hard for the status of hoplite, and even if House Stormwing fell, a hoplite she would stay. She didn't know any other life, nor did she want one.

She left Woodswatch as soon as she was fed and rested, and flew fast towards Redheart's Refuge, where her dreams beckoned her. She had had another one last night, saying the same things as before. She made good time, touching down on the outskirts around midday, when the sun was straight up in the sky. She knew that if she tried to fly over the walls, there would be consequences. She had to talk her way in.

She approached the gates. Wearing her armor would not help, but she could not part with it. They would just have to trust her word.

"Hello. I wish to enter the refuge.

I've been having strange dreams. I feel It's my destiny."

She did not know why she said that to them, but it was true.
So...

Who wants to follow that post up? Because I don't feel confident enough to.
So part 2 is just a few hours after part 1?
How long ago was the attack. I'm not sure how high up the ladder to put Taleste.
I love sci-fi too, though there's no genre I don't like. I don't have a favorite genre, unless you count 'Classic' as a genre, in which case that's my fave.
I am so glad that stuff's moving again!
Kaliflur sat down, staring at all the monitors in the lab, tail swishing irritably. There were too many people investigating. If the 'bigger fish' wasn't as big as they thought, it would be like watching a pack of dogs tearing a cat to pieces. If it was bigger than she thought, however, she would be there as a backup plan. On that note, she ought to train. She felt much stronger than she'd ever been, but she already knew the price for overestimating herself. She got up and started walking to the training rooms. As she passed Orin, she shot him a look. She was still dead sure he looked more Saiyan than human. It was the hair, and the eyes. Even if he didn't have a tail....never mind. She was being foolish. Of course he was human.

She entered a training room and brought up a Frieza clone with a power matched to her own. She turned the gravity up to 100x. The Frieza clone immediately wiped the floor with her. She got up, struggling to match her old speed in the new gravity, which had made her movements stiff and slow, whereas the clone was unaffected. She took an offensive stance, and tried again. She'd try and try again until she could beat him.
Violet threw her poncho from her shoulders and onto the ground.

"I don't know, but I get the feeling it's going to be much stronger than an average soldier in the Planet Trade. It's probably going to be stronger than Captain Ginyu. So, Saiyan pride aside, how well can you fight?"

She took a fighting stance, and began to circle him.

"Words are biased. Don't tell me. Show me."
Kaliflur took a vial of the serum, and injected it into the crook of her arm without so much as flinching. Her strength had instantly and fully returned to her, and then some! This was so much better than the healing pods on her old moon! But the fact that the ship had disappeared had worried her. She'd seen similar things a lot in her time roaming the galaxy. The ship had definitely been destroyed by something a lot more powerful, and It couldn't have been shot down from earth, or she'd have sensed something.

"It must have been destroyed," she cautioned everyone in the lab. "There's a bigger fish out there, and it just ate the smaller one."
"It was a Saiyan," said Violet to Kires. "Officially, the rumor around the galaxy is that he was slain on Old Namek by a Saiyan called Kakarot, but the truth is he survived that battle, and was killed by a half-blooded Saiyan named Trunks Briefs right here on this very planet, as was his father, King Cold. His brother Cooler, however, was killed by Kakarot. That was on New Namek."

Violet gasped in surprise suddenly, and looked up in the sky, before looking back down to Kires, nervously.

"This may be a little soon to say, but how good a fighter are you?"
