Would i be allowed to post in the lobby as well, seeing as Ijok is supposed to be in the tourney? Might as well be a good way to start off something with him.

No, you are too OP. . . Too OP!!!!!

That still cracks me up. Sure, I suppose as long as somewhere you punch Rilla's character.
The armour is not poorly constructed. The real protection is the underlayer which spreads out kinetic energy. That being said could Shin break Metz' sternum? Maybe, maybe not. I suspect the blow most probably hurt. Possibly cracking or fracturing ribs. I leave that to Melon.

The real issue the entanglement that follows. (On my phone since I am out. I will continue with an edit once I reread actions)

Metz has a knife, he collided with Shin's fist. While the blow hurts it will not stop Metz from stabbing Shin. (Will do more getting ready to eat lunch)
Faith and loyalty are paramount to perserving the empire.
Well the Dreamers can most certanly be considered not living by our standards can't they? If they perceive the being or race as a threat they will either enslave or eradicate. Law, order in a multiverse of chaos is something they strive for but know it is ultimately unobtainable. So they strive to establish order for as long as possible. Yes they know of the Fallen, they also know Ghoukas and the Fallen are enemies of the Dreamers. The enemy of my enemy is my friend.
@LeeRoy hmmm? What did you want to know? Khan has pretty much nailed their world view. But I can fill in the gaps.
They might be affected to some degree. Will it debilitate him? Probably not, but it can be disconcerting and uncomfortable. Couple it with the energy drain and it can be worrisome.
Ah, nevermind. I guess building new worlds is just too taboo for something like roleplaying.

in all seriousness, I understand. it's just intimidating to dive into "the multiverse" will all of these rivalries going on already. just some tournament for newbies would be fun, get our feet wet

There is going to be noob tourney. We are currently in the end of the year NoW event. But you can join the NoW lobby where a multiversal event will take place. Get to know other fighters and participate. You can craft a character, have the community review it to help balance it. The most important thing is to become active.

Many thanks! Another question however - I've noticed there's a scaling system going, in particular, how a character's "power level" is determined. I've poked around and haven't really found any given scale. Any chance I'm over looking it?

It is in the arena FAQ. Basically it is normal human, powered (which encompasses a broad spectrum-fighters haggle powers to roughly even themselves out) and god-like.
I'd like to start a new world. That'd be cool. I was just looking at the Arena battles recently and apparantly these people have fought to the death like 20 times before. Explained away because of THE MULTIVERSE! How about instead of "people fighting to kill the other guy because of tournament" we have actual in-story problems, like a feud between two clans or something, and that is our motivation to fight eachother.

Not sure how tournaments would work though. Maybe the tournament part could be OOC, and the fights just take place in that order because of IC reasons?

You do understand the multiverse does what you want to do and the tournaments do advance character/ faction elements.

Too many people want to start new worlds instead of helping build the one already in place.
Alright, can someone please give me the rundown how this arena business works? Any volunteers wanna run me through a tutorial fight?

Vordy has it pegged for the most part. The best course of action is to find a sparring partner for the type of fight you want. Open the OOC for comments and ask the community to comment on your stance, actions, attacks and defense. It allows you to see what others see in the situation, often times giving you an opportunity to have multiple mentors at once.
