I am assuming that Sarah is the target of a friendly sniper?

Hrmm. I wonder what a nice 40mm will do to her chest. :D

Definitely not a friendly!
<Snipped quote by Aristo>

It was still in the process of being unboxed.

Oho. Nothing like that new-cockpit smell! I hope she doesn't put a dent in it.

Surely she'd have seen the other FRAMEs in line while getting on-board, though. They were right in front of the ramp.
@FosterIf Marlene's FRAME was being serviced on the Samigina, wouldn't that have given the crew ample time to set up the frequencies and IFF? If it was with the others, it'd be pretty hard to mistake friend from enemy, unless, she was really scatterbrained, or on drugs, maybe.
@Aristo
I had a post five times longer than my usual length ;-;

It took me two hours to write ;---;

and now it's all gone

You copy/pasted it but didn't save the original? Sorry; I learned that lesson before, and more than once!
Also, as Marlene's mech is specialized in sniping, nobody has really seen her mech before, and she hasn't seen the mechs of her allies...

*Shoots sniper-rifle at random black specks on the horizon and hopes for the best*

Look for the Panther insignia on the shoulders? Here's hoping everyone painted one up during the trip. Although, it's not like you could see them clearly at night through thermals
Marlene fought in the PU; I'm sure she's seen Barghests before! Not like these, though.
Each turn is a season, just to represent the passing of time.

How could narrative dialogues not fit in? It's fairly easy to work something out over PM, and then post it in the IC thread.

I'm not suggesting they couldn't; only wondering who's 'turn' they'd be posted in, if two or more people are involved. I guess wherever the exchange occurs would make the most sense.

Sounds about right!

I've added a new hider right above the rules called "Miscellaneous Setting Lore & In-Universe Objects." This'll be updated from time to time. So far, I have writeups of PADDs and Augmepazine within it.
I suppose it'd be useful to have a new section on the first page for in-universe lore.
At this time, I wanted to introduce a drug called 'Augmepazine,' which is prescribed to people with implants or mechanical prosthesis. It's used to treat symptoms of rejection; in many individuals, the human body will reject certain augmentations, which is potentially life-threatening, if those augments are connected to vital organs. Augmepazine helps the body to function with, rather than against foreign artificial materials in the body. However, in a few rare cases, individuals have become addicted or overdose on the drug. Anyone with enhancements is expected to pay for prescriptions (doesn't count towards our gameplay mechanic), and so the poor sometimes are unable to fight their body's rejection, or avoid getting augments at all.
If you've read Amelia's overview of Cradle's HFI in the IC, Augmepazine is a necessary component in the HFI procedure; to ensure pilots can interface correctly with their machines.

Hooray, foreshadowing!
I'd be game for collabs. I'm not sure how narrative dialogues would fit in, with every post being counted as a turn. Guess we'd have to figure out who's turn they'd be incorporated into.

I might have missed it somewhere else, but is there a period of time that turns, or a full cycle of turns, are supposed to represent?
I woulda posted, except my intenet was being derpy and when I copied the post and fixed it all, my clipboard only pasted this random string:

So there's my IC post, everyone.

Gasp, meta-gaming! I thought better of you, Wilson. You can't break the secret code yet!
