My Very Brief Bio

Male, 33 years old. (I'm even more dead than before.)

Likes (other than writing and roleplaying): I'm into all genres of music. I love to cook. I love the outdoors, and walking through the park near my house. (Yes, really.) I read a lot of thriller/mystery novels. And I usually watch seasonal anime. (Or cooking shows. Because Western Media provides even fewer things that are worth watching.)

But as for my many other neglected hobbies, I've played basically every sport. (Soccer and Bowling being my favorite of the bunch.) And I'm trying to play more video games. (Going through my never-ending Steam library.) Plus, I've dabbled in making electronic & metal music, and I used to play a number of instruments. (Guitar, French Horn, etc.)

So much writing.
Prompt: You poor unfortunate soul, do you see all the suffering around you? People’s misery and cruelty. The world’s disasters aren’t actually natural at all. Your perceived reality is an illusion. So wipe those tears from your eyes and don’t fear me for my strange otherworldly appearance. I am your ally. I am someone that understands your pain. You cannot possibly understand the evil that motivates the world around you. Demons are invisible to the naked eye, spreading their plague and infecting the masses. I can make you a magical girl. You alone can stop every sin caused by demons using humanity and the world they inhabit as their puppets. You will create a utopia and I’ll help you achieve such a righteous goal. Just take my hand and trust me...

The sky was as dark as the demons intentions. A lone creature stood atop the roof of a ramen shop, its sullen face illuminated by the orange glow from several small diamond shaped lanterns hanging from a branch that it held in its cat-like paws. Looking down from the edge as these city’s streets flooded, but it knew this wouldn’t quench their thirst for chaos. It was on a mission to search for a brightness that only certain souls possessed. It began to ascend in the air and let out small puffs of white smoke, but it stopped to let out a soft gasp, noticing the hung lantern serving as the tip of its long tail starting to blink. Carefully swaying its tail through the air like a metal detector, until it noticed a young girl zipping through the streets on her bike and as the tail’s lantern blinked faster.

“She’s the one.”

This weather washed away her chance for a normal day. Somebody from her class thought it be really funny to steal that from her bag when they had their lunch break in the school’s garden. It was way past her curfew, but she couldn’t lose what was precious to her. And school wasn’t that much farther away. But even with her umbrella and rain jacket, she was getting soaked to the bone. She would just kept checking her dying phone to see if there was any new responses, but it was just the same strange ones she received.

"Peace is like a precious seed that grows into a beautiful garden if enough people pour their hearts into it. Humanity will see its splendor; diverse in the colors and life it brings to the world, when we’re all capable of loving and living with each other. But it needs be protected at all costs — from the demon uprising that’s spreading like a weed. Those with half-hearts may care less about what one does in the dark. But I warn that you must be the thorn in their side, for they lurk among the shadows, where you cannot hide. And cast your light to disinfect those that kill without mercy, before it goes beyond your control in a hurry…"

She’s seen a message like this before. It was connected to a recent online phenomenon that was being discussed in several message boards that spoke about gruesome-looking demons committing various amounts of violence. An attempted explanation at the spike in criminal activities for the past few weeks that seemed to be getting covered up by every news outlet. Anonymous users tell of their videos and photos being conficiasted by the police. But one mysterious username kept getting mentioned; sending phones cryptically poetic messages that was rumored to be a messenger angel. Though the amount of people that took any of this seriously was dubious. But something inside her knew this wasn’t a joke, as she briefly saw one of the monsters running downstairs into the school’s basement.

But she would never expect that someone was following her...

It was a cruel sick joke. Using her phone’s flashlight function to see the rose bushes that she planted were losing their vibrancy as they had been callously hacked into pieces. But the rest of the garden lay untouched and the item she came to retrieve was sitting on a mound of dirt. The young girl’s emotions were soon interrupted by the comforting orange glow that shined from above. Witnessing a lop eared rabbit cat creature floating on down? Speaking up in the softest and saddest sounding voice, it sounded like a young boy or maybe a girl? It was difficult to tell, but something kept her eyes glued to its tail lantern’s immense glow.

“It’s an unfortunate truth — that the beauty of your world can wilt away if no one cares to stop it before it happens. But weep not my child, as the clouds above show you great sorrow. You mustn't let your voice be drowned out by the storm. I can make your desires be heard, loud as the thunder. My lantern’s light will reveal your true potential, so you can shine even on the darkest of nights.”

The creature’s eyes filled with hope and a reassuring smile as it extended its long tail within the young girl’s reach. With white smoke pouring from all the lanterns...

“You know about the demons don’t you? I know you’ve seen them. I’ve been searching for ones like you that know the truth. The trouble they’ve caused your poor city. Those poor innocent lives stolen and buried within the dirt like your own possession. I’m sorry. I don’t want my words to hurt you. Quite the opposite — I want to bestow you with magical powers beyond your wildest dreams. To become as strong as your heart. You need to help me stop these demons for hurting any innocent soul that just wishes to live and love. Grab my tail and accept my light to destroy the dark! You can become a hero! A magical girl!”

It spoke so confidentially about something that sounded so silly. And answers to such a sudden and difficult question may have brought pause, but she would be given no time to think about it before hearing a loud cry for help. Was it coming from the school? How could you even hear it in all this noise? The promise made by the creature ran through her head a thousand times and all that she needed to do was grab its tail. What if she really was given the power to save lives, could she pass that opportunity up? It looked at her pleadingly.

“Please, just trust me...”
Posted. Had a very hot and busy day yesterday, so forgive the delay.
The red ball finished growing in size and then it seemed to beamed some its energy straight at your ship. Your ship was covered in a translucent red light in an instance, but you weren’t taking any damage according to your computer. But it was slowly drawing you closer to the other, were you in a tractor beam? You were pretty certain that technology was still in its infancy stages back on your home planet and did that imply that was he beaming you inside his ship? It was certainly larger than yours, vertically, but the alien’s craft didn’t appear to have the width necessary for that to be feasible. The only alternative that could be rationally assumed was that it was bringing you close to make it easier to help you, though if that was all, why not just approach your ship?

Those preconceptions vanished along with your ship did from the vacuum of space. Finding your craft on solid ground and surrounded by pale red lights that dimly illuminated the entire area. You were in the middle of a large and empty docking bay. Rub them if you must, but your eyes weren’t deceiving you. Your computer was able to conclude that there was sufficient oxygen and an atmosphere clear of toxins that would allow you to exit the ship without needing specialized equipment. You heard loud speakers that filled the area with that same passionate voice that sent you the message before. “Welcome abroad, The Ingentis. Feel free to come through the big doors on your starboard side, that will lead you down a long hallway where I’m at the very end. I’m afraid I’ll have to enlighten you about both of our current situation. But don’t be a stranger, or be intimidated by my stature. I look forward to seeing the face behind my guest.”

You saw large mechanical doors from both the northwest and the northeast that looked like it could easily fit an elephant through them, and you had to wonder just how big was the first alien you would come into contact with? Hardly seemed like you were given another choice at this point...
Oh, believe me I know that feeling. Don't feel the need to be overly wordy if only a few will suffice. Sometimes posts will need to be shorter. Some longer. Short and sweet works fine with me.
I figured I'd leave it open to suspense. :P
You were quickly blasted with a zealous and deep voice in response.

“Loud and clear! Quite the bizarre circumstance if I do say so myself! Seems as if ours ships had accidentally collided in and out of a multidimensional wormhole! But it’s wonderful that you seem unharmed! I am Oraborom! I’ve called my ship, “The Ingentis”, and I’m obliged to grant you assistance!”

The message had ended, which allowed your ears to recover and ponder your situation. You hadn’t heard either term before, hinting that the sender was alien life or a sarcastic bastard. But you were familiar enough with the theory of dimensional wormholes and why your brain instantly wanted to write the possibility off. In layman terms, they were supposed to be warping points through completely separate dimensions. But it was likely that, regardless of their existence, they’d be too chaotic for ships and humanity to handle traveling in. And even without the instant death, it would only transport one-way, meaning you’d be hopelessly lost. But because your S.O.S broadcast didn't receive any replies, and you seemed to be cut off from your fellow Pathfinders, you couldn't ignore that option.

Suddenly, you had something more immediate to be concerned about. The ship in front of you seemed to be charging up an ominous ball of red surging energy that was growing underneath his ship. The last thing you were going to survive was a firefight or outmaneuver another spacecraft. At this point you weren't certain if their enthusiasm was a saving grace or your end. But it you didn't do or say anything, you'd learn soon...
