My Very Brief Bio

Male, 33 years old. (I'm even more dead than before.)

Likes (other than writing and roleplaying): I'm into all genres of music. I love to cook. I love the outdoors, and walking through the park near my house. (Yes, really.) I read a lot of thriller/mystery novels. And I usually watch seasonal anime. (Or cooking shows. Because Western Media provides even fewer things that are worth watching.)

But as for my many other neglected hobbies, I've played basically every sport. (Soccer and Bowling being my favorite of the bunch.) And I'm trying to play more video games. (Going through my never-ending Steam library.) Plus, I've dabbled in making electronic & metal music, and I used to play a number of instruments. (Guitar, French Horn, etc.)

My 1X1 Interest Check: SleepingSilence's Tavern (Want 1x1 RP's? Please come in.)

Hope you have a wonderful day!

His smiling face had yet to show any signs of distress. Though the truth is, he would’ve rather choked and died, than continue to smell what lingered on the bullywug’s breath. So the secreting stem had yet another intentional benefit to Dylirius, as it eliminated the foul odor entirely. “Oh, of course.” Dylirius replied, with a friendly smile. Dismissing what was in their mouths as casually as the warrior did, when he failed to share his name. Now stuck in place where his footpaws stood. As any movements that Dylirius did make, would uncomfortably tingle and sting like a scorpion's tail. “And I could give you those flowers-” The cat reiterated with emphasis. “But while we’re both standing here. Perhaps I could interest you in something more—potent. For someone of greater stature.” Dylirius offered, with his sales pitch prepared.

“Either way. You’re certainly not going to find a better resource to get high, in all of the Everdark.” Dylirius asserted confidently. Knowing that those particular flowers and other rarer materials within the Everdark, had been pilfered by whatever humans managed to escape after the massacre. Meaning he’d be lucky to even scavenge some withered-up petals from others’ corpses. And the last thing you would want, after taking strong mind-altering substances, is the modest reduction of a quality rush. Thus, Dylirius waited to see if the bullywug was interested in his wares.

Ready to move and make the deal between them at the very second, once Spore's effects wore off. With the good chance that Dylirius would be able to move before his uncustomed customer would be. Even if it was only a slight difference. Given how frequently inflicted he had been by the Spore’s effects. Both through natural circumstances and risky experimentation done on his own. Not that Dylirius would ever make that obvious, when interacting with his skittish companion. Having no desire to worry him deliberately. “I’ll take whatever you can give me, in exchange for creating your payment.” Dylirius acknowledged, with his eyes briefly looking up and to the right. Better to use junk items than my own mana reserves. He thought, before his glowing amber gaze focused on the frog. “But know that alchemy tends to emulate what is sacrificed.” Dylirius noted with a scholarly tone. “Therefore, for your own sake, if you want something good. You need to give me something good.” Dylirius clarified, in hopes that Phaid understood that his offers had consequences.

Noctowl’s six sharp talons had been perched on top of the thin greystone chimney of her master’s three-story farmhouse. Unshaken by the sudden drop in temperature, as the whistling winds began to chill her backside. As the owl’s head rotated 180 degrees to look beyond their wooded backyard, and at those distant mountains that were further south of them. With her piercing red gaze, able to cut through the encroaching darkness, while she watched how quickly the storm clouds moved overhead and enveloped the early afternoon sky. Only to instantly turn her focus around and down below, as she overheard the creaking sound coming from the opened front doorway. Easily spotting their youngest family member - a prematurely-evolved Croconaw - proudly waddling himself across the dirt path outside. Letting the door swing closed on its own, as he proceeded to stomp his way up north. Notably getting more used to his growth spurt, since he hadn’t tripped over himself yet.

Prompting the brown owl to sigh gently and descend from on high, as she called out his moniker from above. Using her usual prim-and-proper tone, to catch the chunky gator’s attention, as his head tilted backward to stare up at her. “Hatchling. How many times have I told you about sneaking out without supervision?” She questioned, before landing on the bright red awning above the front door. Her head tilted slightly to the left, as she waited for his excuse.

“But you’re already watching over me.” The croconaw contested in his deeper, albeit still juvenile-sounding voice. As he grinned and raised his stubby little arms in the air. “And you’re doing such a great job too!” He declared with bombastic enthusiasm. Striking ‘The Resident Watcher’ where she was most vulnerable, and seeing results almost immediately, when Noctowl’s wings were lifted to conceal her face.

“Oh. S-stop that.” She stammered. Being interrupted by the boom of thunder, and the frigid drizzle that soon followed. “Y-you know it’s my duty to make sure that nobody gets hurt.” Noctowl mumbled shyly, behind her feathers. Feeling her puffed chest pounding, as she tried to calm herself. “And I know how much you like playing in the water, hatchling. But it’s much too risky for you to run off somewhere, when a lightning strike could-” Noctowl hastily elaborated, before she stopped to notice that he had long since scampered off. Seeing Croconaw running past a broken section of fence, that led him over a big hill, down into a sprawling field that went on for miles. Not long before the light rain showers turned into a heavy downpour.

Leaving Noctowl with no choice—but to rise upward into the small window on the second floor that was always left open for her. Oh my. I hope he’ll at least stay near the barn... She thought, proceeding to head inside. Where everyone else in her family was safe and asleep. All unaware that they’d have their first trespasser in a while—and that the child would soon cross paths with them.
* * *

The peaceful traveling weather had turned foreboding rather abruptly. With the thunder clapping as if it was a captivated audience. Creating non-stop noise around her and giving the unsheltered pokemon caught in the middle of nowhere, its full wrath. So how fortunate was it to find a huge red barn within her sights?
Pokemon Characters

Relative’s Old Team
Lucario: “The Resident Shepard” (Leader of operations, and mediator between any disputes among his family.)

Miltank: “The Resident Chef” (Useful in both cooking, and creating plenty of food and drink for those in her family.)

Sceptile: “The Resident Gardener” (Able to plant seeds, grow and cut down trees. Being one of the bigger powerhouses and alpha males in the group.)

Tauros: “The Resident Workaholic” (Used for pushing and pulling whatever was necessary, all day and all night if it was required. Often seen with special equipment strapped to him.)

Mudsdale: “The Resident Transport” (Used for journeys elsewhere, if the Master ever needed her to go somewhere farther away.)

Grumpig: “The Resident Grump” (His psychic-type abilities allow him to be useful in many ways. But he’s the one who stubbornly refuses to work.)

Young Master’s Team
Audino: “The Resident Medic” (Keeping everyone happy and healthy. She was certainly the motherly-type, and the young Master's first pokemon.)

Timburr: “The Resident Repairman” (Helping with repairs to maintain their shelter, and keep everything in working order to the best of his ability.)

Mareep: “The Resident Power Generator” (She was used to maintain power for the farm’s special backup generator, which kept everything running.)

Croconaw: “The Resident Waterer” (Able to water the field crops, and goes out of his way to help with whatever else he can.)

Noctowl: “The Resident Watcher” (She stays up late and outside, to watch over the farmland and alert the family of potential trouble.)

Combusken: “The Resident Firestarter” (Keeping the indoors warm and toasty. He was also the family’s feather-duster and tidy-upper.)

Ralt's Character(s)

Eevee: "Fifi" (Fifi is generally a rather kind and caring girl that likes to help others, although she is known for being a little selfish from time to time. She loves being around others and becomes rather excitable when she does, often trying to be the center of attention or becoming rather competitive with others. She struggles to get angry, but tends to become rather socially jealous if she feels left out or disliked. Due to her history with humans, she is very distrusting to them and will tend to avoid them whenever she can, although she rarely brings up why. She is deeply insecure of her abilities and personality, and this has lack of confidence has manifested itself as overconfidence where she legitimately believes she is better than others as an unconscious cope-ing mechanism for feeling so unworthy and unlikeable, she also gets very defensive and sensitive if her perfection is called into question, even if not done to belittle her. Overall, she is a kind soul that can appear challenging and overwhelming due to deeply rooted insecurities.)
Hell
Fully agree.

@Magic Slime To clarify the upper statement. He means put "what makes a slime, a slime" in the 'Race' section of your character sheet. It's strengths and weaknesses etc.

Here's mine for example.
Race: Lesser Demon (Intelligent, multilingual, darkvision, able to cast illusions on self, below average strength, most vulnerable to holy and light magic.)
Not that I've ever been personally concerned about OP characters. (Since you can usually roleplay around it. Make the characters weaker, or use their bigger threat status as a disadvantage in IC. Etc.)

But I will say that the slime character has four separate non-combat skills. (And the rest of us, regardless of its particular versatility, put only one down as the character sheet instructed.) Honestly, most of it could've simply been squeezed into one description. But I don't mean to be a prude.

Just crossing my fingers that we don't get on the bad side of Slime Jesus. (As my friend/ex-roommate described the slime isekai anime character.)

But minor digression aside, I will be working on a post shortly.
I'm kind of glad that I didn't have to work on a post here today. Because I spent a lot of it, worrying about where one of my parents' cats were hiding, and making sure they got along with mine.
This was edited. Probably by magic or something. :D
