Question: So if Batman is off-world, who is Batman in his place? Dick? Tim? Jason? Oh GOD, let it be Jason Todd - he could do the whole bad cop/worse cop spiel with Damian.

That's sooooo not a good look. Tim would have a mental breakdown and everyone else would just have a lingering suspicion Jason's going to kill someone.
@Sloth Can Kintaro speak English? If not would you be giving him a manager, or would he be sort of a silent character with a mystique to him? As for the whole facepaint and elaborate costume gimmick, what if we utilized him like Finn Balor in NXT? Where he wears the face paint only for certain matches. If would give those matches a real big fight feel.

I would say that he does, only it's obviously accented. It's when he slowly falls back in to the Akira character that he becomes silent and methodical, though I'm not sure if giving him a Paul Bearer would work that well, heh.

Regarding his facepaint and entrance attire, I think for the time being, which is his debut period, he'd come out in simpler stuff, his tights and a vest with a logo or two? For the purpose of kayfabe, he's just some dude from Japan trying to forge a new identity for himself after his time in Japan with lingering habits from the good old days. (Good old days? Shit the dude's been wrestling since he was a teenager, so damn young.) If the GPW eventually booked him to go full Great Akira, I'm sure he'd bust out the craziest stuff he could, gotta teach these muricans how Japan rolls. No but really, I'm sure the facepaint and over-the-top attire will come in due time.

On an aside, if you've got time, go look up some of Muta's entrances/entrance attires, the pageantry is insane.

As a general comment I really like the "global" feel we are giving to GPW. We have some guys form the UK, an Australian and a Japanese wrestler and I think that's cool. I wonder if I'm the only person in this thread who is actually from North America in real life? (I'm Canadian btw)

United States of American here.
I figured I should show what I've got so far, which is not exactly that much, but hey, would be nice to get some comments.

Happy to drop the issue mate.

Somebody suggested a character sheet having various versions of finishers for situations. I think it sounded fun. Anyone think that would be a good idea?

I dunno, I was more-so thinking of having a "wrestling/fighting style" bit that described strengths, weaknesses, and general move-set (IE: Being good at chaining moves and technical wrestling more-so than power moves) with maybe a few sentences for a "typical finish"? I dunno, considering the style I had in mind involves mind games and the all-powerful Asian mist, I'm not quite sure whether to have a move-set/style section or just put it in a gimmick section? Hmm.

and she's fucking the guy who Vince thinks is the most over guy in the company, and is related to the girl who is fucking the ACTUAL most over guy in the company.

Hey now.... John Cena is the hottest heel in the company!

Actually scientific studies shows you are wrong on both counts. Male brains are typically 10% larger than those of women (though that is literally just a measurement of size and could not be used to infer factors such as greater intelligence) and males have faster reaction times on average than women.

Hold on, I'll need to consult Bill Nye on this one.

Seriously though can we drop this?
I'm down for this. Yes, Haitch's entrance was silly, and after DX came out, n.W.o.'s appearance was predictable, if odd (Considering that Sting spent most of his Vigilante time in WCW feuding with them.)

I actually thought it was pretty standard for a Triple H Wrestlemania entrance. Then Arnold showed up and I just started laughing my ass off. Too bad they didn't have Goldberg come out and spear the crap out of Haitch after an obligatory Shawn Michaels cameo.

Kinda wish that New Day had won the Tag Team belt, because Mr "FAWT LAUTYDAUDY" and Mr "Lock-Up-Yo-Mid-Card" would be amazing if pushed right.

I don't think Kofi has a chance to escape the lower or midcard ever again, the time's passed and his character doesn't do....anything, hell he's not even Jamaican anymore!
I was probably gunna fill in the power submission guy. I always liked them as huge hurdles and I always love a Monster Heel....not as much as Vince seems to like them...but you know.

Not as much as Vince loves putting over 50 year olds. What do you mean Sting vs Haitch at Mania was actually good? Shut up!

Vince is losing it, man, I'm telling you. I'd like to make one main event guy and a midcard guy. Or just the midcard guy... so many options!

Heck man, if I were to attempt to make a main eventer it'd probably just end up being the Taker-Wyatt-Gangrel-Raven analogue. So far I think I'm going to focus on my midcarder's (or maybe he'd technically be a jobber since he's a fresh face? Who knows, all depends on how much heat he gathers.) progression to super-stardom. I may or may not be saying this mainly because I've got a move-set, finisher and stuff in mind already.

Then again an American would probably be far more plausible than a dude from Japan, but fuck it, he's over Maggle!
You are encouraged to have an in-depth background for your wrestler. The more history you have to draw from, the better. If that history is intertwined with other other player's wrestlers that's awesome. I'm a huge fan of Japanese wrestling (Shinsuke Nakamura is probably the best wrestler in the world) so I'd love to see a wrestler from Japan come into our fictional promotion.

Bro, it's all about Kazuchika Okada, rainmaker for days. No but really, cool stuff, I'll have to let my imagination run wild then, initially thinking I might draw inspiration from the likes of Great Muta, Jushin Thunder Liger and the like, though who knows where I'll go depending on just how much experience the guy has.

And yeah I thought WrestleMania was great this year. Glad to see them put the belt on Seth Rollins but keep Brock Lesnar as an unbeatable beast. I also loved that Rock/Ronda Rousey segment, and that RKO on Rollins was nuts.

The only negatives I had for the night as a whole was that they really should've pushed the show back an hour or so, the coolness of Bray and Taker's entrances were taken down like 20% because it wasn't pitch black out. Also saddened they didn't put Bray over and am afraid for what the hell they're going to do with the character now, but hey, overall a great Mania.
I'll keep a tentative eye on this, as I've always been interested in eFeds and have recently renewed my interest in the WWE product (How about that Mania ay?)

My only questions are whether or not match interference, backstage quarrels (IE: Reality and not Kayfabe) will take a part and just how in depth a player is allowed to go with their wrestlers' gimmicks and actual background. For example, say I made a guy who's been traversing the indie circuit for a few years before getting signed by (what I assume is) the international federation the RP would be based in, or that he comes from a wrestling family (Insert "The Rock's Cousin" joke here) would that be too advanced or what have you?

(I could go on about heat and repackaging and stuff, but I assume that'll be brought up in the OOC if this happens.)

Hmm, I'm now wondering whether or not a luchador or newbie from Japan could work.

To the thinking chamber so I can decide on gimmicks and such!
I'm also here and stuff.

(In case it's not obvious I didn't exactly know what I was supposed to say.)
