Finn sighed as the limo he was currently seated in approached the gleaming towers that housed the Guards. To say he was nervous was an understatement. While he had been eager to join the Guards, despite his powers, he was now terrified. What if someone found out? He'd probably be shot on the spot, or at best, sent to the Outlands. He chewed on his nails as his limo neared his future home.

As the limo pulled to a stop, Finn grabbed the duffel bag that Alessa had helped him pack. He smiled as he thought of his kind hearted nanny, the one who's eyes were lined with wrinkles from smiling so much. He hopped out of the dark green limo that signified he was from Principle and looked around. He saw at least four white limos, but there were only two people from Principle, himself included.

Finn was not the average child from Principle. While he had been raised with mass amounts of money, he didn't take after his Grid mates with their snooty attitudes. Years of having to hide his powers had humbled him. However he knew that he'd most likely be targeted by one of the Recruits, someone who had a grudge against those in Principle.

Finn looked up at the instructor who had called for everyone to gather at the front of the steps. Having chewed his index finger nail to a stub, Finn moved onto the thumb as he walked forward with the rest of the recruits. He stopped, duffel bag slung over his shoulder and his eyes focused on the instructor.

UGH! I meant Finn, I'll fix it now. John is the main name for most of my characters so when I switch it up it takes some getting used to. Thanks for pointing that out :)

Secret Gift: Photokinesis or the power to manipulate visible light. John has the ability to manipulate any visible light to his will, shaping it into a solid object. However creating an object that is any bigger than a medium sized backpack takes a bit more time and energy. He can also increase the intensity of the light, which allows him to burn things with it.

Weapon of Choice: Besides his light constructs, Finn's preferred weapon is a crossbow that shoot's laser bolts. The weapon generates a bolt when it is drawn back (assuming it has enough power) and then works just like an average crossbow.

Gear: Standard Rookie gear, a small bag to hold ammo and a pistol holster.

Bio: Finn grew up with anything he could desire. His parents were both film stars and therefore he was raised by a nanny while they were away, which was quite often. When he started displaying his powers, his parents hid him from the public eye, fearing for his safety. His nanny, Alessa, revealed her own telekinetic powers to him, and also how she had snuck in from the Outside. She taught him how to control his powers and she became a second mother to the scared, young boy. Unfortunately, his parents died when he was eleven, leaving him their mansion and all their wealth. Alessa moved in permanently to take care of him and help him hone his powers, and teach him the ways of the world. He grew up with the knowledge that not all Anomalous were bad, and when he got the call to join the Guards, he accepted. While Alessa feared for his safety, Finn believed he could change things.

Habits (Optional): He bites his nails and fingers when he gets nervous.

The Ghoul Game (An Odd Harry Potter RP)

I'm so sorry. I was in a ditzy mood when I posted my CS the other day and I didn't realize you wanted them posted in the OOC first :/. Anyhow, sorry again and here's my CS.

John Lockhart

Appearance:

Name: John Lockhart

Age: 15

Year: Fifth Year

House: Gryffindor

Personality: John is a Gryffindor through and through. He's loyal to his friends, and believes very strongly in standing up for what he believes in. He's also a fierce fighter, and often thinks that most conflicts can be resolved with a wand or a fist. He's a social being but he's also incredibly smart, and if he isn't studying, it's probable that he is hanging out with friends.

History: John Beckett is what less cultured folk would call, a mudblood. He was born to two muggles, Olivia and Martin Beckett. His parents owned a very successful bakery and so the Becketts would often provide their son with every luxury. They did however make sure to keep him grounded, and as such made him work in the bakery at a young age. John began showing signs of magic at around five, when he turned a very rude customer's hair a bright, vibrant shade of green.

Once his Hogwarts letter came, his parents were thrilled. Every parent wants their child to be special and now their's was. John was sent to Hogwarts, wide eyed and curious. There he was sorted into Gryffindor where he became fast friends with most of the kids in his year. He quickly discovered his aptitude for Defence Against the Dark Arts, and it became his favorite subject. He excelled in most of his classes, however Herbology bored him. In his third year he began taking Ancient Runes, and Care of Magical Creatures, the former being his preferred class.

This year he decided he'd sign up for the mysterious Ghoul Studies, mostly just to prove to one of his friends that he wasn't to much of a pansy to face a bunch of ghosts. He figures it will look good on his auror application as well, seeing as how the class deals with all sorts of dark creatures.
