@Wintergrey Ian is the funniest person on this planet I think
@CirusArvennicus Most technology is combined with magic if that's what you mean. Currently debating if there should be a type of sorcerer who can control technology or at least affect it to some degree.

@greywolf375 Awesome! And yeah a sorcerer would be able to use guns.

I'll get an OOC up once about 2 or 3 more people express interest.
@Sagittarius Guns. They're still around since not all types of magic lend themselves to quick killing (I'll put up all the magic types in the ooc) but they're slightly more advanced than what we have now thanks to magic helping to speed things along. Most ammo that's been marked with runes so that they do some other sort of damage like fire or electricity.

@SimpleReading Glad to hear it

To whom it may concern, greetings and welcome to the Griffins. We are also known as the Rebellion, or in less polite circles, Those Fucking Anarchists. This letter is here to help you get situated, and informed about what is going on. And that starts with a history lesson. Don't worry, it's a fun one. So, as you may or may not have guessed from the evil sorceress who took over the world, magic is real. Now, our friendly neighborhood dictator would have you believe that she has granted those who deserve it, magic, and that she is a godsend, here to bless us in any way possible.

Well that's a load of horseshit. And let me tell you why. Since the beginning of time, magic has always been around. It's in the air, the tress, the water, even in you. Sorcerers are just the lucky people who are able to harness that magic. Now, long before all this, but just a little bit after the dinosaurs, sorcerers and normal humans coexisted. But, seeing as us humans are the literal scum of the earth, we drove the sorcerers away. This created a discord between the two groups, and as they evolved, they grew farther and farther apart, until the humans believed magic to be nothing but a fairy tale.

All that changed in the year 1922. That was when sorcerers were discovered. And that's when the world began to crumble. On January 1st, 1922, the sorcerers came out publicly to every government around the world. And they were greeted with open arms. Their powers helped advance technology at rapid speeds, and they helped to heal some of the worst ailments. But there were men and women out there who despised the sorcerers for their powers, angry that they didn't have their abilities.

None of this hatred was helped by the fact that sorcerers were becoming more and more common. By the year 1975, sorcerers made up almost 40% of the world's population. And if it's one thing humans don't like, it's being threatened. Worried that the, "good-old fashioned, normal folk" would soon become extinct, violence against sorcerers became much more common. Despite their powers, it was hard to defend against a surprise bullet to the face.

All this violence led to rifts between the "norms" and the sorcerers. And it's what led to where we are today. America was always a hub of sorcerer activity. A majority of America was in fact, sorcerers and as such, in 2000, Lucille Laurent was elected the first sorceress president of the United States. She'd pledged to end violence against sorcerers and to unite the people as one loving group of humans.

And unite them she did. By 2004, she'd enslaved the norms of America, and called for sorcerers all over the world to rise up against the humans and destroy them. And many did. By 2007, Lucille Laurent was now Empress Lucille Laurent of the Sorcerers' World Order. Yeah, it's pretentious I know. Humans were forced to work, and the sorcerers who didn't agree with that, were killed.

The humans who escaped enslavement and the sorcerers who went against Lucille soon found each other. Their common enemy turned them into allies, and they formed the Griffins, a name chosen for what it represented. The humans are the lion, angry but strong and stubborn. And the sorcerers are the eagle, granting the lion the wings and the talons it needs to defeat it's foes. It's beautiful I know.

So yeah, that brings us to 2016. The Griffins are hard at work trying to bring that bitch Lucille to her knees, but it's a hard war to fight. Luckily, we have you. Yeah, this is a generic letter, addressed to everyone, but everyone who joins the Griffins is important. A war isn't won without people. Remember that, and train hard.

Sincerely,
Jessica Lancaster

So, basically this RP is about a rebellion against a sorcerer dictator. It takes place in an alternate history, where magic is real, and b now is more common than non-magical humans. Our characters will be members of the rebellion and they can be either humans or sorcerers, it doesn't really matter but yeah. If you're interested or have any questions just say something down below.
@The Muse I talked to Blue and she mentioned having her character's cousin coming to town. I think I'll do that if that's good with everyone :)

It was quiet in the Royal Library today. I mean, it was always quiet, that was just the nature of a library, but this was different. His mentor, Geoffrey, wasn't present today, and so the scratching of his quill on paper was absent, as was his absentminded mumbling. No one from the court was present either, which was strange. Generally someone wanted to come in and get a book of some sorts. Curious, Clarke stood up and began to wander the empty halls of the library until he came across a window that overlooked the tournament field. Oh of course! Nobody is here cause the tournament is today!

With a mystery solved, Clarke made his way back to his room, a small dormitory that was right next to the Royal Library. He rarely saw other parts of the castle, and when he did, he was on Keeper's business, and had to rush. Such was the life of an apprentice. Back in his room, he quickly changed clothes, having been in the same outfit since the previous night. He'd been up late working, and when he had finished, he fell asleep as soon as he sat on his bed.

Content in knowing that he no longer looked like someone who rarely changed his clothes, he strolled through the castle, and out into the courtyard. Geoffrey wasn't there to keep him busy, and so he decided that fresh air would do him some good. He breathed in the smells of the town, smiling. As much as he loved books, spending all your time with them had it's downsides. He strolled throughout the town, towards the docks where he saw a large ship, a Roman ship. He furrowed his brow as he watched a young woman get into a carriage. He'd never met someone from Rome but he'd heard of their love for the mystics. Seers and the likes. A thought briefly flitted across his mind but he shot it down. Camelot was his home, and he couldn't ever leave for a cushier job. He sighed and began walking back to the castle.
If you guys still have spots available, I'd like to join :)
Okay working on a post now. Clarke's relationships are up, they're pretty short but I really only did ones for people he'd know right now. I'll add more as time goes on.
Okay I'm gonna try and get a post up today. For relationships, I'm figuring Clarke would be pretty good friends with most of the people in the castle. Let me know if anyone wants to have a different sort of relationship with him but as of now I'm probably going to be operating off of that. Sorry it took me so long to get all of this up, I just finished up my midterms so I should be more active in the coming weeks.

They hadn't been walking for that long when the swarm of birds came. He heard some kids in his group talking about it and spun around to see what all the commotion was about. He stopped and stared at the aviary swarm, awestruck by the color. When the swarm came upon his group of survivors he smiled. It was then that the shock of where they were finally hit him. This was unexplored territory. They were they first humans to see those birds. They were the first humans to walk on this planet, to breathe this air. The smile was quickly wiped off his face.

As the ground rumbled, Charlie's head went directly towards the sound of whatever animal had made the noise. It was coming from the south, which was good. Hopefully they'd be able to outrun it and get to wherever they needed to be. He saw Athena and another kid take off, while Violet and Avery ran ahead of the group. Emmy, and the boy she was with caught up to them as well and it wasn't long before his legs were moving, arms pumping, and waving the slower kids in front of him. Whatever had made that noise, it sounded pissed, and he didn't want to be around to run into it.

Avery had gotten a decent amount of supplies from the ship. Her own backpack, some food and bandages, a bottle of rubbing alcohol, and a knife. When Charlie and Tobi had announced that they were leaving she knew there wasn't any question about it. She and Violet couldn't stay here with Athena and the others. She knew Violet and Tobi were complicated, but luckily that hadn't gotten in the way of things.

When the swarm of purple had overtaken the group of delinquents, Avery had begun to laugh. She couldn't help it. Breathing the fresh air and feeling the grass tickle her exposed ankles, and the light touch of feathers brushing against her face, it all culminated into a fit of laughter. A fit which was quickly put to a halt as the ground trembled and some sort of beast began to roar.

She saw Athena and another boy begin to make their way towards their group, followed by Emmy and some boy she was with. Her eyes were wide with fear as her mind began to draw horrible pictures of what beast could be waiting for them. Violet turned to her and said the exact thing that had been on Avery's mind. "We need to go." Avery didn't need to be asked twice. Once Violet began to run, Avery followed, her feet slapping against the soft earth as she trailed behind her friend, her red hair coming out of the bun she'd had it in earlier and whipping around behind her.
