@Doc Doctor

Andreas brought his breathing down and listened, he wasn't going to be caught peaking from his hiding place. He heard a slumping sound, like weight hitting the ground and risked looking. He saw the taller man now hunched over the other.
"Right then, allow me to rephrase my inquiry. Tell me where the Engineer was last seen, or I'll have you feet up."

Andreas listened in, he'd get the information he needed and go, all he had to do was stay here a little longer - with any luck he'd beat this Xil Gil to the location and then stay one step ahead of him. If push came to shove, he wouldn't be too far behind Xil and could confront him if there was a need after they found the elusive engineer; no need to make himself known now.

The Velvet Grove. Andreas recognized the name, he'd partied there his first night a few days ago in the zone. For all he knew he'd probably bumped into, come across or even socialized with his objective and be none the wiser. He pondered on it, but only for a moment as more ruckus distracted him, Andreas once again peaked from his cover and caught sight of the man being kicked violently to the ground before his assailant wrapped his hands around his neck and began to squeeze. Xil spoke but to Andreas it sounded like nonsense although had the undertone of causing harm or worse. Instinctively his grip tightened further on his handgun, for a brief moment he almost ran out and confronted Xil Gil - But why? Who was this man to him other than a stranger among a society that put little to no respect on life, humans were a dime a dozen. His grip loosened as he reminded himself to stick to the plan but kept his eyes on the event as it went down.

As Andreas watched, it would have been no more than a couple of seconds when something came over him that he couldn't quite explain. He brought himself upright, boots scraping off the gravel and focused his sights on the back of the cyborg's head, taking quick steps towards him, "Enough!" His voice was amplified but not quite shouting, a commanding tone. Shit. Hindsight was a curse, or it seemed especially so now at least, Andreas immediately regretted the action and was still dumbfounded as to why he'd acted.

Something Wicked This Way Comes

A presence dark invades the fair,
And gives the horses ample scare,
For chaos reigns and panic numbs,
When something wicked this way comes.

So toll the bell and sound the drums,
For something wicked this way comes.

Beastmen, once having lived in Nomadic tribes, brutish and unnatural creatures that resided in the deep forests, raiding and pillaging villages and towns, have been banded together by a Lord of the beasts. Shador, champion of the Beastmen, unified the raider tribes under one banner. Hagur-Ur, the northernmost part of the known lands, an already barren land became the makings of an empire, an empire ruled by beasts. However, the intent of this army was to reach far further than Hagur-Ur. The gnarled grasp of the North slowly reaches outside of its domain, clawing at the civilizations of Man and all non-beast.

The Beastmen warbands attack with no warning, and villagers, merchants and travelers live in constant fear of ambush. They try to prepare themselves for such an event, and often desperately appeal to the nobles to scour North with their armies - however, at such a time of political upheaval with a pestilence spreading from the East and the dead inexplicably rising from their graves, the nobles have far more pressing concerns than the pleas of low-born villagers. Forced to fend for themselves, terrified villagers hack down great swathes of forests around their settlements, and the better off hire the services of mercenaries to protect them, barricading themselves indoors when they hear rumors of a marauding band within the area.

The more isolated villages and farmsteads are most at risk from attack. Far from any and all aid, travelers frequently will discover buildings or entire villages raised to the ground, cattle and villager butchered alike, lying where they were cut down. Full of malevolence the Beastmen take particular pride in tearing down the carefully constructed and ordered structures of men. For the united tribes of Beastmen, the battles fought in the South as well as the chaos and senseless murder are part of a religious war, an effort to bring down the civilisation of man which offends the Beasts’ gods. They believe that after the taint of man has been wiped from existence, the Beastmen shall inherit.

Our tale begins in the township of Galloway at the dainty tavern, "The Retired Sword". Perhaps it was a promise of women, adventure, riches or just a chance to do good. The biggest adventure of their lives is about to begin. So toll the bell and sound the drums, for something wicked this way comes...

So the above gives the idea (I hope!), ask any questions away I'll put up an OOC if we gather some traction here. Look forward to hearing from you.
@Oliver Sorry to leave you waiting, bud. I'm waiting on Filthy Mudblood and/or Midnight, if neither of them have posted by the afternoon I write something up.
@A Tattooed Girl Okay, cool I'll most likely be asleep and have to head out in the morning but will post when I'm back around noon gmt+0.

EDIT: And don't worry about it, no rush. Phones are a b***ard to write on.
@A Tattooed Girl

So quick question as for RP outside of class and outside of school, we wait on time skips, right? Or?

Will be posting soon, do I still have you all?

Also will be looking for a co-GM within the next little while.
@OzerathBest avatar... Ever.
So, what's the standing ground on getting out of class and RP'ing the halls or the yard or something? Or are we waiting for a time skip for that?
I posted there, @mentioned those involved. If I left anybody out or didn't interact with someone who interacted with Andreas let me know and I'll correct it. Still a little foggy in the brain, aha. [:

“See what had happened was…I was kinda sorta attacked by a ghost hole this morning. Totally not my fault!”

"Kinda, sorta?" He inquired rhetorically, he smiled back, imitating her own. Andreas was the type who even if he didn't notice would mimic body language, tone of voice and emotion - probably because his own GPS was a little off at the best of times.

"Punk, rebel, opinionated bitch with dazzling good looks." Andreas smirked at the quip, he didn't know Roxy well or at all really other than in passing. His first impression of her was that she was definitely a free spirit, no shit taken or given attitude. She seemed confident, a quality that Andreas was jealous of - then again if he could feign it so could anybody, who was to know. One thing Andreas made sure of wasn't too judge too deeply by a cover, everybody has their own demons all of which subjective, or so the forums said.

"Andreas." He replied, there was a moments pause as his brain clicked and told him to try seem a little more open at least, "No label, just your average looking loser." He responded in kind, his tone was confident and friendly, it wasn't clear whether or not he was joking - alter ego shaking his head at him. The problem for Andreas was that feigning the confidence needed would lead him to feel like a bit of a douche bag, he opened his mouth as if about to say something else.

“Are you a beaver? Cause dam I like you already.”

Andreas' expression went blank before he scoffed a mild laugh, "On form anyway." His neck arched to face Sarah, a stupid grin crossing his expression, his gaze began to dart between the two girls, his old friend and a new acquaintance.

"Hey, Andreas!" Andreas jumped a little although it wasn't an outright noticeable jerk. Tae Min, Andreas had met him last year in Biology and the two got along, he wouldn't call them friends but they were certainly on friendly terms. He nodded along as his neighbor got out a bit of a spiel.

"You're fine." Andreas told him with a faint smile in response to whether or not he should stop talking. "Early days yet, I'd rather be at home." He laughed, "No plans, you?" He was referring to what he was going to be doing on the weekend. "Good to see you, Tae."
