Natsume; Saturday Morning - Practice Building?

As their attacks hit the monstrosity before them, Natsume had started getting a feeling of hope. Maybe they can actually beat this thing.

It was staggering, and it was in pain.

The girl had prepared herself to use the same attack as she had before, but Yuuhei's wind torrent had practically ripped it apart when it connected with its large body.

The following seconds were as tense as it had ever been for her. She carefully watched the monster fall, and eventually dissolve into vapor.

...

More seconds passed.

"...Is it gone?" A few deep breaths. "Did we beat it?"

There wasn't any trace left of the abomination that had terrorized them in the past minutes from the hallway.

As the adrenaline in her body settled down, she felt the strength in her legs slowly give out. In an attempt to balance herself, she ended up stumbling backwards a little before she found herself sitting on the ground to regain her bearings.

"What just happened?" She turned to Yuuhei and the black haired girl. Although she had expected that neither one would have an answer to her question, it wouldn't hurt to throw it out there.
"Well, I admit that's partly my fault too. I should be more careful around Corridors." She said as she sheepishly scratched the back of her head.

"They sent someone down here?" She gave the idea some thinking in her head. "Just one person?" If they really did send down just one person here, then that probably meant they were someone really important. And important people tend to be pretty powerful if their previous encounters were anything to learn from. Maybe Seth wasn't planning on fighting, if his reasoning for bringing Mantis here was his only intention.

Her muscles suddenly tensed as she felt a few Shadows appear from the ground behind her. Summoning her Keyblade, Mai quickly dispatched the ones behind her with a quick swing. The ones further away from them were already being taken care of by the Nobody's Snipers.

"Wait wait wait, shouldn't we help the people here first? These guys can't handle the Heartless, right?" Besides the Heartless, she really didn't like the idea of humans fighting humans. If they could focus their attention onto the Heartless first, then maybe the invasion could stop for now and maybe things could settle down. Before she could get an answer though, Seth had already started running with Mantis behind him.

"Ah, dang it! Wait for me!" The girl exclaimed as she followed suit while making sure to smack as many Heartless with her Keyblade as she could while doing so. She had also noted the new types of Heartless that were showing up and how they were now following them. Apart from the usual, there were a few airborne ones, some big guys, and a few living armor it seems. Although she really wanted to help here, if she loses sight of Seth then she could be in a lot of trouble since she didn't have a map or knew this 'district' that they were in. At least she could redirect a number of the Heartless to them and away from the humans as they tried to find whoever was beamed down here.

Natsume; Saturday Morning - Practice Building?

Yuuhei's attack connected, and it was vulnerable. The noises it made grated hard on her ears. The monster was trying to regain its footing, but she wouldn't let it. Although she didn't possess any of the magic that the girl earlier had shouted, she did have one that could blow it up a little more.

The girl stopped running as she passed the girl, shielding her from the creature. "Persona!" Saying that outloud came to her was like second nature to her. And in response, the white tiger from earlier had manifested once again beside her. With a roar, the tiger had casted an explosion that Natsume had aimed at the abomination's torso.

"Seriously, what is this thing?" She asked no one in particular. Although it was down right now, at the back of her mind she was considering if they should try and retreat for now while they can and tackle it after they recuperate.

Natsume turned to the black haired girl. "Are you alright?" The girl didn't seem to be hurt much aside from a few bruises from probably stumbling while trying to get away from the monster, but it wouldn't hurt to make sure.
@Double

"Hm?" Her attention was taken by the gummi ship that had arrived, and followed Seth's gaze towards it as she stepped beside him to look out of the port. "So I guess that's the ship I was worrying about earlier." Things are just never a cakewalk nowadays. Mai leaned back and turned back to the others as she listened to whatever they were talking about.

As a result however, the girl had missed whatever Seth saw. "What's wrong?" Before she could get an answer, he suddenly opened a second Corridor and threw himself as well as Mantis through it. "Hey wait!" She rushed forward to try and catch Seth at least before he went through the Corridor, but she tripped and ended up passing through it unintentionally.

Thankfully her landing on the other side didn't cause her to crash onto the floor, but she did stumble a little before regaining her posture. "Can you give a warning next time at least before you go off again?" She sternly tried to reprimand the Nobody. Although it probably wasn't so convincing given her tripping predicament.

As she gave the Corridor that brought them there a quick look, it had just about closed before anyone else could follow them. Moving through one still gave her the chills, so she was thankful that they didn't use this method of transportation often. With their only way back closed, she redirected her attention back to the Nobody.

"So, what did you see?" It didn't seem like Seth would just go off randomly unless he had a reason for it, despite his penchant on disappearing sometimes.
Sorry for my inactivity, been feeling really under the weather this past week. I'll try to get something up when my migraine dissipates.
The newcomer had explained his reasoning for the mask, and partly for why she felt that he was off somehow. "So he can read minds then? Wait, is he reading my mind right now?" Mai immediately tried to deflect her thoughts to something else, something nice hopefully. One of the past was the first to come to mind. A time of when things were simpler before the Heartless and Nobodies came. "...I do miss those days."

Before she could lose herself in her small moment of daydreaming, as James was talking with the AI, he had suggested that they'll just rough up the place while Drake was busy. "I'm up for smashing things sure. Just tell me which ones I can smash and what I probably shouldn't." Definitely wanna avoid accidentally blowing up the entire place or something.

"Well, I wouldn't be surprised if they had a trap setup for us. Things can never just be simple, can't they?" She shrugged as Mantis had mentioned a bad feeling coming from the portal that Seth had created that would bring them to the entry hangar. "No idea what it could be though." A horde of soldiers? Tanks? Alien robots?

The girl did lose some color to her when James had suddenly explained what happens when someone is in 'space' without this 'space suit'. It sounded terrible, and probably very painful. "OK, please tell me what I can hit or not. I really wouldn't want to experience the blood boiling part." A bad first impression of space definitely. She has had a lot of battle scars and injuries in the past, but hearing that did unnerve her a little.

"Do we need more man power? Maybe Taka has something up his sleeve that could help?" She briefly wondered what happened to the Nobody. She hadn't seen him after the hospital episode back in Madoka's world, so she got a little worried that he might have disappeared or something.
@SMS, For when you come back, can it be a thing that on the way to Panem, Tocsax taught Mai:

Areora and Areoga
Reflect
Lightbloom

Would that be all right?

Sure, no problem.

Natsume Natsumi(?); Saturday Morning - Practice Building?

The girl was still on the ground trying to catch her breath as her body ached from the blow she took and the subsequent crash that followed. Her head was throbbing in pain and her hearing continued to be clouded with a loud ringing.

"...h-help-" A desperate call out from her, probably not even audible unless they were right next to her.

Why did this happen? All she wanted was to live comfortably, in the presence of her friends and her parents. Laughing together, doing homework together, eating dinner together, living life together.

But all of that was irrelevant now. She was gonna die here. All alone, in a place she didn't even recognize.

"I just want to go back to the way things were."

...

"A simple test; can you state your name?"

A voice called out to her.

"My... name?"

The voice was warm, comforting even. It felt familiar, yet foreign to her. Like an old friend that she hasn't met in some ten years or so. Her hearing began to clear up little by little, and the pain in her head was subsiding.

"This... should be easy. My name is Natsu...mi?" Her thoughts paused for a second as the name sunk in. "Wait, is that my name?" It sounded almost correct. But she couldn't tell what was wrong.

"I am-... I'm..."

"Stop! Fire won't work, use ice or wind!"

Her thoughts were interrupted when she heard another voice shout out. The pain had almost completely disappeared, and Natsumi was finally able to relax a little and open her eyes. Looking for the source of the command, she found the black haired girl from earlier with... wires sticking out of her. The sight of someone else behind the black haired girl with wires and cables connecting them both looked unnatural to Natsumi. But the other girl didn't seem to be in pain from it. "What is she-?"

She finally found the strength to sit up right, and once again found the source of her fear and despair in front of them. Her body froze at the sight of it, and the voice from before spoke once more. This time, it sounded much clearer in her head.

"Do you truly wish to go back to the way things were?"

The voice was angry, no longer comforting as it was before.

"...I-" She hesitated, and the voice cut her off.

"Back when things were simpler?"

"I-...!"

"Your answer!?"

"I DO!"

"..."

No answer came from the voice.

"I do want to go back." Her voice was trembling. "I miss everyone. I miss all the laughs and the fun we were having." She paused for a moment as she pondered about her answer a little more. "But I-... I know things can't be the same anymore. I know that I can't change the past either."

"...And so, what will you do now?"

The voice was warmer now, like a father talking to their crying child.

"You should already know right? I might have some regrets, but I won't forget. And I will move forward. I know things will be hard, but I have to."

The girl was now standing up, with a clear head and a regained resolve.

"Heh... Very good. Now then, tell me- What is your name?"

This time, the answer was crystal clear.

"Natsume Ishikawa."

Her body started to feel a little lighter and warmer. The mysterious voice had manifested behind her as a large white tiger. The tiger itself was glowing, with certain spots being covered with a blue flame that was warm to the touch. She could feel its power flowing through her body, its presence also very comforting.

Looking forward, the monster had began to charge towards Yuuhei as it reeled back its arm for a swing at him.

The girl held out her hand as she ran forward. "I won't make it in time-" The monster was simply much closer to Yuuhei than she was. "Byakko!" The tiger's name had come to her mind unconsciously, as if she had known it like a very close friend's.

With a roar, the tiger had sent out some of its power from her hand towards the blonde and formed a defensive shield of sorts. Natsume couldn't stop the attack, but she could at least try to stop the blow from killing him if he can't dodge it.
I'll get something up tomorrow hopefully. Thursday at worst depending on if my school stuff lightens soon.
