Maulusk

Maulusk tilted his head slightly as he observed the various shadowy denizens of New York raising their head and focusing on a central location. Usually the citizens of an area tended to be doing their own activities, sure perhaps they engaged in similar thoughts, but they never tended to do the exact same thing. He slowly straightened his head as he lowered down his map and observed the denizens over the location he wished to visit.

After all, if the entire population was focused on a destination it was surely a destination the Maulusk wished to visit. He watched patiently as he observed the trajectory of one of the shadows. It remained humanoid only briefly before transforming into the gooey blob that the Maulusk had noticed the ones he had dispatched transformed into. His brow narrowed as he began to slowly fold up his map and gingerly open his duffle-bag. There was going to be no need for a map where he was going.

Slowly craning his head Maulusk looked briefly to those around him and offered a free tentacle. He kept his attention focused on them briefly before he aimed his boat hook at one of the humanoid shadows. As they were metamorphosing into the blob, Maulusk hooked into the shadows with his boat-hook. With the shadow preparing to ‘go home’, Maulusk pulled on the hook to make sure it was secure.

It was.

With that the Maulusk began flying off to Liberty Island utilizing the shadow to his own advantage. As they were traveling through the air, Maulusk began changing out of his cardigan and tie. He quickly let go of his tie and allowed it to fly off and hopefully land somewhere near. As for his cardigan it was dropped near a boating vessel, alongside his trousers, shoes, socks and his duffel-bags.

Due to being hooked on and carrying the extra weight, the Maulusk’s shadow did not merge as soon as the others. It was flying close and wanting to merge with the giant abomination that was the Shadow of Liberty Island. Maulusk did not wish to get that close and proceeded to unhook himself above the bay area. Maulusk held out his boat hook and harpoon far away as he tucked himself in and began to somersault a few times in the area, stopping when his head was directly facing the water.

KEEERSPLAAAASH!

Completing the Swan’s Dive into the water, the Maulusk had entered his preferred hunting grounds. Swimming with a swaying like motion he proceeded to pursue the Shadow as he held out his harpoon and began hacking away to hit the shadowy tendon as if he were carving marble. He wanted to have a secure spot for later, and it would serve as a simple and effective test.

Got my post up. The attack upon our local villain's hideout is off to a great start.

That it absolutely is.

Tonight was looking like it was going to be a solid night for tourism! Besides getting a tour guide to the city, the Maulusk had a live showing from a suicide bomber, in its natural environment, here the dense population center. As the man was taking the package of the explosive, the genetic freak turned around as he aimed his camera up high. The key to this photo would be taking it at the right moment. In his tentacle he was aiming his camera as he tilted his head up from looking at the map. Finding further directions to big spots of the city could wait until the performance was concluded.

He waited for the suicide bomber to get into position. The Maulusk lurched above several of the shadowy figures which were swarming around the man, clearly trying to get a better view of the show, but proceeded to wrap his tentacle around a shadowy figure that stood right in front of him. Much like all the others it collapsed into nothingness.

No one was going to interrupt the Maulusk’s shot.

And so the deed was concluded as the Maulusk took a single photo, with a loud shutter, and proceeded to wave it around frantically to make sure it was developed. Tilting his head he checked the composition of the photo before unzipping one of his dufflebags and shoving the photo in there. Spinning around the Maulusk once again opened his map fully and began to look for the directions he needed from the map. Who knew what other encounters laid in store during this vacation tour!

@StateApe @Lmpkio
Jeez. Folks dropping like flies over here, that ain't good.
@StateApe

Sure. I'll consider them. And considering those factors, we still have a perfectly good ol' OOC. None of those things sound like they'd really add anything to what we got going here.
@StateApe

We got a perfectly good OOC here amigo.

They might wish to destroy such a monument but the Maulusk doesn't want to destroy it. Just visit it and photograph it and probably ignore pointed suggestions by the tour guides regarding it.
No one is destroying the Statue of Liberty. Maulusk has yet to visit it and photograph it.
